America wake up. Look up the Clinton's net worth. 50 million/ Won't release tax returns. But hillary knows how all these poor Americans feel. Look how her campaign has squandered money on fancy foods and fancy hotels and when her campaign gets low she pulls out 5 million of her own money until the next big Pac contribution. Or she gives a heartwarming plagarized Bill Clinton and Edwards speech at the last. Come on America and see this wealthy, well connected establishment Washington politician for who she is, Hillary Clinton is not like you and me and never will be. That is why she can't connect with the American people. This is the same old politics sa usual. Obam is the only way to go.

"Hillary is not like you or me"
Yeah, and I'll bet you're JUST LIKE Barack Obama.
Presidents are not like the rest of us in case you haven't noticed.
We aren't A-Rod or Brett Favre or Elvis either.Or Warren Buffet or Thomas Edison.
Unless you too are at the very pinnacle top of your profession.
Which you would occupy with others who are not ordinary either.
Because they would be the opposite of ordinary. They would be EXTRAORDINARY.
      That's how I like my presidents.Extraordinary not ordinary.In presidencies that's called "greatness."

"Obama is the only way to go"
    Oh yeah?
Because he'll do what about the economy? You don't know or even care do you?
Because he'll do what about Iran,N.Korea and Russia?
Because he promises to quit fighting our enemies in Iraq but attack Pakistan,an ally and politically fragile nuclear power?
Is that the "way to go" you were referring to?

Its time to change the status quo. Women are underestimated.

As a nation we have endured 20 years of ups and downs. The only difference is, the ups was when Bill Clinton was in office. We were prosperous and no one was trying to kill us or mocking our current President as America's greatest failure. I do agree we need change because the problems were not here only the last 20 years but the last 2008 years. Think about it, the males have been engaging our country in wars since the inception of the United States.
We finally have women on the Supreme Court, the speaker of the house is a woman, women have positions of authority and they are doing a GREAT job.
Its time for male dominance to step aside and allow a woman to lead the United States. Its not too late to do the right thing and vote for a woman who's voice is our voice. She knows the problems and can make the changes we need currently not down the road. I don't want to wait another 4 years while Obama learns how to use his fast pace brain to voice what we the people need.
Her healthcare plan is solid, her foreign affairs skills are sharp, her economy plan is great to guide the US out of the recession we are slowly plummeting to, she uses her voice to fight for human rights, she has a plan to bring the troops home , and her experienced leadership skills are what America needs NOW. Its not too late to vote for the First Woman President who is more than qualified to lead this country to greatness. Remember the major states are Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania because they are the rich delegate states. But every state is a rich delegate state for Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Every young girl will have hope to become what many women have been trying to do for years, prove they are worthy of position in a male dominant society .
It is time for change but we need solutions so change can happen.

"It's time to change the status quo.."
Tell it to Ahmadinijad.Or Kim Jong Il.
      Like they care.
Tell it to wall street.Money don't know male or female. The economy grows only if the president understands conomics.Male or female.
Vote for Hillary not because she's a woman.
Vote for Hillary because SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING.

      • Posted By: mksl1 @ 02/23/2008 2:23:48 AM

"no one was trying to kill us".
9/11 was planned while Bill Clinton slept.
        "US"?
Mogadishu, where Bin Laden first became involved. The missles for "blackhawk down" came from him..
        The USS Cole.
The murder of hundreds of africans and our embassy personnel in Africa.
The bombing and murder of 25 military personnel in Jiddah.

The difference this time is that Hillary knows that .She learned from those mistakes. And make no mistake about that- she's a tough lady. That's why she voted for the Iraq war.Sorry fellow democrats, but it's a much tougher and more complex world out there than many of you realize.
        Fortunately Hillary understands that.

Of the two ONLY Hillary has the ability to handle McCain in the debates.Substabce will rule over style in those debates and Hillary is on equal footing with McCain in that regard. She too can get down n' dirty in a heavy policy debate. And she is far more capable of inspiring confidence in the GENERAL public that she's ready to take control of the "ship of state".
    That's because she is ready.
Obama more suited to being a speaker on the "motivational" circuit.
Oprah should give him a show.

  • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/23/2008 1:34:54 AM

If any of you Hillary supporters want to ensure our candidate gets a fair shot, email your delegates as to why you feel Hillary would make a great leader and commander in chief. I already did.

    • Posted By: mksl1 @ 02/23/2008 1:44:05 AM

      jrmapu,
      Good idea.
Hillary is much more competant. This is the presidency we're talking about, not some motivational talk show therapist.Democrats who discount her experience as first lady as "meaningless are wrong.Hillary was like no other first lady in U.S. history. She was neck deep in the policy matters during the "Bill" years. She knows how the geopolical game is played and is ready to deal with the likes of Ahmadinijad,Kim Jong Il and Vladimir Putin. Those guys will take an inexperienced and naive president like Obama to the wooodshed.
And the truth is,if you don't know how Washington works you can't get anything done.
      Hillary understands that.
Obama is either pretending he or he ACTUALLY doesn't understand that.
      Not good..

        Lets keep this rolling.

  • Posted By: mksl1 @ 02/23/2008 1:25:36 AM

    msni,
    I agree.
The journalists are throwing both candidates softball questions.
I think that's because they don't want to make the candidates squirm and know that Democrat voters are bored by policy discussions anyway.
But the result will be a candidate who,in the presidential debates, will get their clock cleaned by an old pro like McCain.
Underestimating Mccain would be a big mistake. He has the "gravitas" thing down pat. He's very funny and excellent on TV.He's been on Leno and Lettermans' show repeatedly, cultivating an excellent style on TV.Letterman loves the guy and Dave is no conservative.McCain is a genuine war hero and independants have always liked him.The fact that McCain is regarded as a "maverick" by ultra conservatives will work FOR him in the general election.
And unlike Bush,McCain is an excellent speaker.
Be ready. The man is anything BUT a pushover.

Funny how Hillary plagerized John Edwards at the end of the debate. John Edwards had more substance than Hillary or Obama.

    • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/23/2008 1:28:02 AM

I agree with that comment. I wanted him the last time, but Kerry lost the bible belt.

  • Posted By: sunny52 @ 02/23/2008 1:17:56 AM

Oh, I think the chances are VERY good that one of them will make it to the White House.

  • Posted By: Bshi69 @ 02/22/2008 10:26:52 AM

I have to share a thought:
My girlfriend was (surprisingly for the first time) showing an interest in this election by watching the debate and said something similar to Allison's comment below about "how she makes you FEEL" My response; say you go to a church to hear a sermon there are two ministers first one gets up and delivers the sermon very "Deadpan" just speaking the words without much "Delivery" or "Passion" when finished the second minister gets up and delivers the same sermon but puts his Heart and Soul into it makes you want to get up and clap, shout, stamp your feet. what's the difference? (Allison?) you feel invigorated and yes MOVED. thus the difference between Barrak and Hilary. Both candidates are passionet about our country but one makes you want too tell everyone and get involved while the other made you feel you've heard the information but that's about it. so summerizing, we look/listen for, not only the content of the message but how it was delivered...Think about it and oh yes if you want first hand experience go to a "Conservative Baptist Church then to too a Good shout out Black Gospel church and I think you'll get my meaning!!

    • Posted By: Allison @ 02/22/2008 11:19:25 AM

I'm sorry but you don't know me, I have been to several Black Gospel Churches. I do know how it feels to shout for our Lord. I also go to Lakewood in Houston that has a variety of races. But I'm talking about who I think can do the best job to get our country out of this Bush mess. Not how I feel in church. I think I would consider him next time now I know who he is. Not this time, we NEED a person that we know can get the job done. I feel It's a huge chance to take to vote for him now... But I would like to watch him for a few years and follow his career before I vote for him to be president. I do like somf what he has to say but I need more time to see what he can do. I just don't think he has what it takes to clean up our country now. I need more than a great moving speech. I NEED A PROVEN RECORD.

As for why I used my name, why not? I'm an American and feel I don't need to hide who I am.

      Allison Courtney

I am black I feel the biased hypocritical politically correct media is enjoying this frenzy. as a black woman i am affraid on this ambiguous role played by our American Press they offer no serious journalistic approach to neither matters related to the war in middle east nor to the ameirican presidential where they all crucify one candidate, shut her off in the middle of her statements and bless/crown Obama b/c he has Oprah's backing . that is silly.

???And the implication is that the people who???ve been voting for me or are involved in my campaign are somehow delusional,??? Obama said.

A guilty person needs no accuser.

People have been duped by the Dot Com bubble, Stock Market bubbles, and the Housing and Mortgage bubbles. Now we are being duped by a Shaman.

Like the Housing and Mortgage bubble, a lot of the people who are buying in are going to find out that they can't afford what they've been sold.

The problem for sane people, although we were not taken in by the housing hysteria, and did not destroy our credit and credibility, we are having this latest hysteria forced on us. And it will ruin more than our credit. It will ruin our country.

George Bush has been flushing this county???s resources down the toilet. Obamas answer is to flush it down a bigger toilet and unite more hands to push the lever.

    • Posted By: Tony2001 @ 02/22/2008 8:53:21 AM

If you are going to quote Obama don't take it out of context. below is the full statement he made in relation to you guys who just continue to insist that all of us who support him are just plain stupid and delusional and only you guys are smart enough to see through him. I never got sucked into the mortgage crisis either, thought the dot com bubble was stupid and never gave it a second thought and also thought the Iraq war was a big mistake from the very beginning just like Obama. So it's not only you, Mr. know it all and always gets it right that can figure out these things.
Mr. Obama said and I quote

"Now, I think that Senator Clinton has a fine record and I don't want to denigrate that record. I do think there is a fundamental difference between us in terms of how change comes about. Senator Clinton of late has said: Let's get real. The implication is that the people who've been voting for me or involved in my campaign are somehow delusional. And that, you know, the 20 million people who've been paying attention to 19 debates and the editorial boards all across the country at newspapers who have given me endorsements, including every major newspaper here in the state of Texas. You know, the thinking is that somehow, they're being duped, and eventually they're going to see the reality of things. Well, I think they perceive reality of what's going on in Washington very clearly. What they see is that if we don't bring the country together, stop the endless bickering, actually focus on solutions and reduce the special interests that have dominated Washington, then we will not get anything done. And the reason that this campaign has done so well. The reason that this campaign has done so well is because people understand that it is not just a matter of putting forward policy positions. Senator Clinton and I share a lot of policy positions. But if we can't inspire the American people to get involved in their government and if we can't inspire them to go beyond the racial divisions and the religious divisions and the regional divisions that have plagued our politics for so long, then we will continue to see the kind of gridlock and nonperformance in Washington that is resulting in families suffering in very real ways. I'm running for president to start doing something about that suffering, and so are the people who are behind my campaign.

Thank you....This was his best moment, and the news media never talked about it. They focussed on Hillary's ending, but they should realise that she VOTED for the war and that are the consequences....

        • Posted By: Arjuna9 @ 02/22/2008 11:23:34 AM

Thank you. That was the quote I needed to read. That is the primary issue in a nutshell. It is far far past time for us all to take a different approach to solving problems in this country. I could never vote for Clinton, because she would contribute to the bitter divisiveness. Obama has the kind of sharp intelligence that sees past the divisions in this country. Only a leader like that could possibly get anything done to turn around the mess that previous politicians have made of this country.

          • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/23/2008 1:13:49 AM

You must be rich. Your vote for inexperience is going to take a full presidential term to make a dent in the problems of America.

  • Posted By: mksl1 @ 02/23/2008 1:12:34 AM

Democrat voters think policy discussions about economics and geopolitics are boring.
So they always vote for the candidate who has the nicest TV personalty.
And in the general election, before the general public, they get taken to the cleaners on policy debates.
And the republicans win almost every time.
If Obama is the nominee he will be the weakest candidate since George McGovern.
The man simply can't conjure a policy prorposal that impressses anybody.
It's all about his tv style and that will wear off when the going gets tougher.

"I say they're taking option B, destroy the party, go nuclear and do whatever it takes to win the nomination for themselves even if they lose the general. Any one want to bet against me? " Yes I will bet against you. If this was the general election , she could go nuclear, but this is within the democratic party, where win or lose, most likely lose, Hillary must return to work. She cannot play Hardball, becuase it would only divide her own party,

    • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/23/2008 1:10:50 AM

And Hillary will do great. But then so will Obama. Neither one will probably make the White House because of the thinking out there.

  • Posted By: collegevoter @ 02/22/2008 5:01:44 AM

The Clintons now have two clear choices. A) Either go out with some dignity, admit Obama's won more states and delegates than you, shut up, let Barack unite the party and win the general election or B) eat the young, destroy the party, make it dirty, play nasty politics, find every piece of dirt you can dig up on Barack, disenfrachise an entire generation (anywhere from 20-25% of the population depending on what you read) and lose the general election to John McCain.

I say they're taking option B, destroy the party, go nuclear and do whatever it takes to win the nomination for themselves even if they lose the general. Any one want to bet against me? Two days maximum before some made-up nasty story about Barack comes out. I just don't buy the nicey-nicey act. Just wait they're going nuclear.

You are a very direspectful collegevoter. Let me ask you, are you ready to take care of your parents? If you were younger, would your parents be able to afford healthcare for you? They'd have to or they would be financially punished. healthcare is the difference between buying food or taking medicine.

  • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 02/22/2008 1:49:56 AM

Look how well Obama has unified the Democratic party... yeah he'll definitly get things done in Washington.

    • Posted By: theLogicalOne @ 02/22/2008 5:57:15 PM

That is not so much a testament to Obama's ability to unite, as Hillary's overpowering ability to divide.

      • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/23/2008 1:04:59 AM

I beg to differ, both of them is the reason our country is divided. This election is about race and gender. Sorry thats exactly what it is.

stop "imus" Hillary. She doesn't deserve this treatment. what about Obama's wife who feels now that her husband is about to be president she is finally at 44 years old proud of the American country. Should she become first lady to love our country. Biased Media why is she getting free passes like that or why Obama's financial contributors and expenses list is not being analyzed by the fair and balanced press. now this press should be happy that they are derouting Hillary they will no longer have to hate her. stop Imus her. msni3478

  • Posted By: collegevoter @ 02/22/2008 1:13:01 AM

Obama hasn't learned to listen? Hillary Clinton is the one who has refused to listen for the better part of the past decade from her failed healthcare iniative during her husband's administration, which other Democrats told her to listen to people's opinions and form a consensus, to NAFTA, right through to her disasterous vote on the Iraq War where she failed to read the National Intelligence Estimate. Even now she refuses to simply apologize for having voted to authorize the war without reading all relevant material.

And Obama has listened. He's listened to an entire generation of young people who felt disenfranchised, ignored and generally left out of the political process. My generation. Is Barack Obama perfect? Certainly not. Will he make mistakes during his first year in office? Absolutely and probably some big ones (as Washington, Lincoln, FDR, JFK and ALL PRESIDENTS have). But he has brought us hope that things can be changed, that ALL voices will be listened to, that a consensus, for the greater good will be formed and that even dissenting viewpoints will be listened to before recklessly plunging us into another war.

You touched RFK's hand? Good for you, but guess what he's OUR RFK. This is not to say he's perfect, just that he represents that same hope for change to us that Bobby did for your generation. I don't mean this meanly, but the time has come, change is here. To every seasons, turn, turn, there is a change. A generation of leadership is passing and a new group is taking up the torch. While we understand the reservations others have PLEASE do try to at least look at the positive attributes of Barack Obama and before you charge him with things like not listening, at least examine how open, listening and willing to compromise your candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton really is. I think, if you are honest with yourself, you might find her a little lacking in this particular area.

    • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/23/2008 1:01:15 AM

You're a collegevoter no wonder you want Obama. The youth of today has no clue what people like Hillary Rodham Clinton sacrificed so they could have a voice especially women's voice in a male dominated society. Males have been running this country for over 2000 years, seems like same o same o to me. The time has come for a woman president. Not just any woman, but a woman whom loves her country so passionately.

    • Posted By: DrakenFyre @ 02/22/2008 2:25:22 AM

Our RFK? No he isnt. For most of OUR generation that have enough common sense to look at the facts when something might be "too good to be true" he is no where near the person he/media/ have beautifully painted him to be.

Ignorance of what is the reaility is really bliss.
