I thaught McCain had integrity that is why I supported him, but I was proven otherwise and switched to Governor Huckabee . Integrity means to stand by ones standards you represent. I found out first hand it did not exist. If there is anything to this, it will all come out in the open, one cannot walk around with blinders. It is not always the bad left, but sometimes their is such a thing as truth to stories and unacceptable behavior or putting your integrity aside for a certain endorsement and participating in illegal activites for that endorsement. I have decided to support Governor Mike Huckabee since the 9th of February after working on Sen. McCains campaign and been a Republican for over 30 years and not a left winger but a Christian who stands for truth and has the invision taht integrity is not just an empty slogan but that the person should have to show the fruits of it.

I agree words DO matter, and so does character and integrity!!

The dicussion on this link should be about the article and not, "who, did what, to who, in the current administration or the past. The bottom line fact is that the article says Nothing and gives us the public no real information. McCain got political contributions and transportation from someone that wanted a political favor. And what appears to be both a little one and a legal one. That's the way our system is set up and how politics works. He wrote a letter asking for a decision? That is his job. The request for approval was stuck and he asked that a decision be made. We would all want the same timeliness from our government agencies and would ask our Senators and Congressmen to help us if they could. Are there any facts about the affair or moral misconduct? Where is the meat in this story? By the way, what was the agencies decision? Important facts don't seem to matter, just the ones that sound titilating and help sell newspapers

You know, most infidelity cases start out with the target vehemently denying the whole affair.. then the whole case unravels like a disaster. Hmm.. Fmr. Pres. Clinton, Senator Craig, Mayor Newsom.. might as well admit it from the getgo before it gets worse. I'm not a supporter of Obama or Hillary much, but.... if it swims like a duck, quacks like a duck.. you can go from there.

Umm, does it even matter a little that the two anon aides are not even accusing an affair? Or that there is any evidence, even miniscule or thin of an affair? I guess accusation is enough to prove impropriety?

What a Republican following a Demrocat or a politician being a politician. Let's look at recent history; FDR, Democrat had his, Dwight Eizenhour, Republican had his, JFK, Democrat had Marylin and let's not forget,
Clinton, Democrat had Monica. (But he did not have sex). Why doesn't the news media look at what is wrong with this country, Most politicians, lost of jobs, Involvenent in Irak, terrorize, no ethics in business, CEO's raping the industries, Energy. I fear no matter who is elected it will be business as usual.

Politicians by definition are all corrupt, including Obama. They have to be in order to be a part of the system.
And people must like it because they keep electing them. A honest, plain talking person would not have a chance.
The only difference between the dems and the rebs is that we wil pay more taxes and have fewer freedoms with the dems. With the Rebs we will have a growing gap between the classes and big business will have a hey day. Damned if we do and Damned if we don't.

The new york times will stoop lower than the national enquirer, if they feel fiction is better than fact

Who contributes to Ron Paul? Army - Navy -Airforce Marines, who contributes to McCain - Lobbiest, They leave Dr Paul alone - Ron Palu does not chase the money or the skirts - only the Constitution.

This is exactly what happens when special interest groups get involved with government. Until they are kicked out on a permanent basis, we the people are going to feel the pinch in our lives. This, the special interest groups, are just exactly the feeding ground of the rich. Put it this way, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The rich could care less as it is all about greed and themselves.

This is so funny, Limbaugh has said for years the liberal press honeymoon with John McCain will end when he gets the Republican nomination for President. We are here. Newsweek, NBC, The NY Times pile on. There is no liberal bias. What a joke.

It seems that the news media is alway tring to create "news stories" out of nothing. So what will it be next big earth shaking news story? McCain was not really a POW or maybe he was never in the US military. Maybe Obama is a part-time Baptist preacher when he's not serving in the Navy. (Was Osmin Obama ever in the Military?) He must have been due to his tremedous knowledge of military tactics. Did Osmin ever represent the United States in Foreign Affairs? Probably so due to his tremedous knowledge of International diplomacy. After Obama invites Fidel's brother (Raul) to the United States, will he followup with an invitation to our democratic leader in Venezuela, President or is he King Chavez?

You need to go after the real criminals the clintons, if your looking for a story people will read and find interesting, The new york times is about as good as the national enquirer on a fact per fact basis.
there style of story telling may even out do themselves sometimes. Fiction is useally better than fact .

Mccain himself holds himself up as a maverick, one who is above the fray.
take the sex part out and look at the other stuff...there are some real questions.

Why are some of us so fixed on a person's sex life? The only question that I would have for him is was it good. I don't even tell my own MOTHER the truth about my sex life so what would make you that special that I would not lie to you about it? The answer is NOTHING!! If we wanted everyone to know about it we would do it in the public for everyone to see.

Do we realize how sick this is? We are talking about a 71 year old man's sex life. I would much rather hear about J Lo's or Vivica Fox's sex life than any old man or woman!!

You poor defenseless, mindless Republicans and your comments. I am just thankful I am not so gullable and have a mind od my own. I guess you think George Bush has done a good job, He has, at destroying the USA. It just goes to show you that the apple does not fall far from the tree. What's next, TOM DeLAY for Vice-President, HaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHaHa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a McCain supporter. Not representative of my political leanings. However, what was done to McCain, a true American Hero in an era where there is a dearth of hero's in the halls of higher government is shameful. I get the "Times" and I have read and re-read the article and it certainly doesn't measure up to the standards I have come to expect from such a respected newspaper. The article with it's insinuations, based on unnamed sources is the kind of thing you expect from those periodicals at the check-out line at the grocery store. NOT up to the standards you should expect from the NY Times.

Gee, just another currupt Republican . That is nothing new

    • Posted By: Dagny @ 02/22/2008 4:02:08 PM

Another corrupt POLITICIAN would be more fitting.

Debate exchange, McCain and Ron Paul:
McC: people are disappointed, they sent us to Washington to change things and instead Washington changed us
Ron Paul: Washington never changed me.
      Indeed!

We love him because the lobbyists and the neocons (left AND right) hate him!

You still have a choice, Vote for Mike Huckabee now, and if you have no other choice vote for McCain in November.

Well it looks as if McGain is just another Republican liar. Eight years of these diabolical criminals and they have made the Depression-era look like the ???good ???ol days!??? War, recession, lies, fascist tactics, torture, intolerance, ignominy, my God people! Two hundred years ruined in less than a decade! I???m from Arizona and I can tell you about McGain???s sordid past. Head of the Ch(K)eating Five that fleeced millions of their S&L savings, along with Neil Bush. His dealings with the impeached Governor Meacham and the indicted Fife Symington and now this! You Republicans had your chance! You listen to the drug-addled ramblings of Rush Limbaugh and follow his thinking like Jonestown followers! ???Drink the Kool-Aid, Drink the Kool-Aid!??? While everything that good people with good intentions gets vilified and cut for war criminal???s holdings! You???ve had your say and where are we now! On the verge of collapse in every facet of society! It???s time for Republicans to sit down and shut up! Leave it to people who aren???t hypocritical liars and cheats to fix what you have wrought!

Hey old paths. Why don't you stop taking medicine when you're sick and pray?
If your house catches fire don't use a fancy technological 911 system, pray for rain.
In fact stop adding comments and sit by your creek and talk to god.
    See if he answers.
