The majority of Americans like this kind of man to be president who can *ull$hit around and having a very thick skin like Bush. McCain is cunning to be able to avoid impeachment and whatever personal attacks being thrown on him. A US president must be able to stand firm and not let these sorts of thing to deter him from his duty as president even if the accusations against him/her are true! This kind of president will not be able to be blackmailed. The president must be able to say something today and without stammering say something different tomorrow. Come on, we don't want an angel to be president, a normal human being like everyone else is good enough! I think he is the perfect choice for president.

Hey, I'm looking for info. What's up with this deal with a Sinclair guy, Hussein Obama, crack rock, homo bj's and lie detector tests? I just knew he wasn't the good little mohammed he tries to present himself as.

If playing footsie with lobbyists is the left wing loonies attack, then the Senator must be feeling good. 100% of Washington policy-makers have lobbyist relationships. Its natural.

The economy is currently is in a downward direction, it will rebound. Thats how capitalism works. Its natural.

The UNNATURAL events of life are what bother me. Like airliners flying into skyscrapers, or poison gas in subways, or trains exploding, or people blowing themselves up. Its UNNATURAL. These millions of people want no less than the destruction of America. They will not stop without being killed first. John McCain understands this. John McCain knows how to win this war. John McCain will win this war as Commander-In-Chief. Mr. Obama on the otherhand is determined to allow our enemy access to opportunity for their mission. To see us dead. The man is a mohammed..THAT IS THE STORY.

    NOBAMA!!!

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/23/2008 12:49:45 AM

I'm not sure what "war" you're referring to, but if you're referencing our foray into the Middle East in general, you are sadly mistaken. McCain can't win that war. No one can. It will continue, in varying degrees of intensity, until US energy policy changes to de-emphasize our reliance on oil, we vacate the Middle East, and we stop licking the rear-end of the Israeli government.

So your an anti-semetic bigoted racist huh. I know who your voting for.

        • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/23/2008 1:11:47 AM

What makes me "an anti-semetic bigoted racist"?

          • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/23/2008 1:40:21 AM

Actually, don't bother. Your posts reflect an inability to comment intelligently. The Jihad-type Muslims despise the Isrealies and despise us for protecting and funding the Isrealies. So (are you with me so far?), for as long as we continue to protect and fund the Isrealis, we will be targeted by the Jihadists. Got it now.

Nothing like a conversative Republican calling someone a bigoted racist.

            Idiot.

            • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/23/2008 7:04:52 PM

So do you support protection for the nation of Israel? I seriously doubt it.

          • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/23/2008 1:16:59 AM

And I understand that I'm posing that question to someone who apparently believes it is not racist or bigoted to refer to those from the Middle East as "mohammeds."

            • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/23/2008 7:02:51 PM

What is a moderate mohammed? One who doesn't blow him/herself up at the market, they just fund the campaign?

    bigbrewhaha,
Congratulations! The last sentence of your rant was grammatically correct. If your use of the language is indicitive of the competence of your generation, we are leaving the country in poor hands indeed.

    • Posted By: bigbrewhaha @ 02/22/2008 11:09:01 PM

Just remember (if you can) that in a few years when you find yourself babbling over your oatmeal we will still be trying to correct all the problems you helped create.

And part of it is letting people like you breed. Grab a weapon and defend your country or shut the hell up. When all you stupid left wing liberals are choking on your own blood then maybe it'll occur to you that you voted wrong. O'drama is a one term senator/lawyer puke that has great vocabulary and a good gift of gab. But hey vote him in. We'll see what happens. Maybe a younger generation can convince Al-Qaeda to stop this a put down their weapons. Good luck with that and hope they don't slit your throat.

How will Republicans try to spin this? It'll be fascinating to see them try. This from the party that represents honor and integrity and that never lies to the American people--not even about those pesky missing WMDs that supposedly led us into a war that has almost bankrupted the country and that McCain wants us to continue fighting for 100 more years? . . . Yeah, right.

More of the same like the Dan Rather 60 minutes story trying to steal the election. Whatever it takes to get a Dem elected.

Hmmm...when Dummicraps complain, they're expressing justified moral indignation. When Republicans complain, about a legitimate smear campaign, they're expressing fear. K.

A big part of the problems we are seeing with government under Bush is that he appoints industry lobbyists to regulate their industries. The effect of this 'fox in the chicken coop' style of regulation is the industries get what they want and the public gets the bill. One concrete example of this is the set asides for small business are increasingly going to large businesses. Hard won compliance with with environmental regulations has been overridden by Bush's cronies. If we elect McCain and his 'honorable people' we will see four more years of this corruption--this is the important lesson to be learned from this article, not that McCain may have had a girlfriend.

re manjoemoe's comment on peace, the economy and budget surplus under clinton; the 'peace' was only because clinton did nothing to defend us against our enemies who killed americans repeatedly and built up terror cells in the u.s. in preparation for 911 - we had peace at the immense cost of the 911 attacks and continued efforts to catch up after clinton gutted the pentagon and intelligence agencies. the economy and budget surpluses were directly handed down from the policies of george bush senior whose conservative policies spurred business development and employment. clinton and the democrates continually taxed and thwarted business. the dim bulbs in this country are the extreme liberals who are trying to push us into a communist model which leads to the oppression and loss of all freedom for the citizenry - that means you sunshine.

The budget surplus was the result of the Republican congress.

McCain serves on the Senate Commerce Committee. "I'm proud of the record of many of my advisers. So are weeeeeee, John

"HOLE" , cause for more defense,,,,, Sen. John McCain said Friday that while lobbyists serve as close advisers to his presidential campaign, they are honorable and he is not influenced by corruption in the system. "These people have honorable records, and they're honorable people, and I'm proud to have them as part of my team," McCain told reporters , Sure, they are, it's ok Johnnnn

    • Posted By: tidodadi @ 02/22/2008 8:31:39 PM

What qualifies McCain? Being a POW doesn't make you president material.

What is better than patriotism? Is it "Yes, we can"?

    • Posted By: tidodadi @ 02/22/2008 8:29:41 PM

What has McCain done, being a POW doesn't qualify you to be president.

      • Posted By: issuesdude @ 02/22/2008 8:40:49 PM

Nope, being a POW doesn't automatically qualify you for the Presidency. Neither does living in the White House or being a junior senator from Illinois. Those three letters, POW, do carry a bit more weight than saying "I was the Presidents Wife or I'm a junior senator from Illinios with no experience and we want change". It would be nice to have the "real thing", something that has been proven, rather than the myth and the hype.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/22/2008 8:37:09 PM

Answer: none of them have ever done anything, McCain included. I don't think this country possesses anyone with "Presidential" qualities that is actually willing to run for President. Those who may have the qualities would rather not deal with the abuse that will be levied upon them by opponents and the media. That's a loss for our country, and it is directly caused by (a) media that is more interested in profits and in furthering their own political objectives and (b) other crapball politicians who, when they start losing on policy discussions, lower the level of discourse to the personal (e.g., Hillary Clinton now, and I'm sure some Republican in the past). Reap what you sow, suckers.

To answer the question of what makes Obama/Clinton better than McCain? In a word, nothing. You can take that question and flip it around and get the same answer. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. To be quite honest, none of the candidates are worthy of voting for. One is too new, the other is hoping her husband will get her back in the white house, then theres Huckabee I think or Ron Paul whom I dont really know enough about one way or the other and finally McCain, who besides being in the military truly hasnt offered so much either. Mitt Romey quit too soon. If Michael Bloomberg would have ran, no one would even have to ask, he would be our next President. And it would have been great for the country too, I am sick of people with a "D" or "R" behind their name claiming to be bipartisan but yet belong to a left or right group. We need a president who wont serve either side and just do the job, until then, we can scratch bipartisanship off the Xmas list.

I agree. It is common sense. Our choice is between an American Hero, black man and a woman. Obama acknowledged that he respect the achievements of McCain. Therefore, McCain is best qualified to be our Commander in Chief.

  • Posted By: vallihi @ 02/23/2008 10:55:38 AM

Senator McCain stated that he had contacted the FCC Chairman to get him to rukle on an issue that had been pending 800 DAYS, twice as long as normal procedure required.
He never requested a favorable decision , merely a an overdue ruling, but the Media does not tell the whole truth becuse they are biased .
It also seems that The Times considered John McCain an honorable candidate in January despite the fact that the story was being reviewed by straffers for almost 6 months.
You better believe The New York Times acted like the National Enquirer and not for the first time.

Seems the McCain camp is taking a page from Larry Craig here. Craig wants his guilty plea reversed; McCain's team is claiming the senator cannot recollect what he was previously clearly able to recollect. Hmmm...
