Who cares already. Hilary and Bill Clinton did far worse by selling sattelite technology to the Chinese as well as taking Chinese contributions. The NY times first tried to insinuate that it was an improper "sexual" relationship and then when they couldn't hold that - they threw this out. ENOUGH ALREADY - I just want a president that can run the country regardless of thier inside business dealings. The Senators all do "favors" for people with money and power that is just how DC runs... Nothing to see hear move along...

DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER, Stop making this about Hillary or Obama. This has landed in YOUR CANDIDATE's backyard. None of these politicians are above reproach. People place them on pedestals. and five times out of ten you wound up getting hurt. Let the investigation go forward, and if McCain has nothing to hide or has told the truth about this matter, he will be o.k.

But do keep this in mind.. THIS IS ABOUT McCAIN... NOT Bill Clinton.

Answer this, Isikoff: Who is the real "hole" in your leftist diatribe? You?

AT LEAST HE DIDN'T HAVE SEX WITH ANOTHER MAN WHILE TAKING DRUGS

Oh you are commenting on the report thatt was swept under the rug about Obama infidelity on his wife years ago with another man? I'm guessing thats what your referring to.Even though his "wife" looks like a guy and probably goes to the bathroom standing up she might still be a she..Not sure yet the story is stil unfolding.

As for McCain, get the whole scoop here- from another vet- http://www.usvetdsp.com/story22.htm

I did not have sexual relations with that woman. I am, however, conspiring with the main stream media to screw the citizens of America--John McCrook, Keating Five Fooler.

The media is, and always has been, a pundit of conservative and far right issues, so they will do anything they can to protect McCain from his latest lie. Unbelievable how twisted, hypocritical and manipulative the RepubliNazis are these days! Dumbya and the other a_ _ es of evil in this current corrupt administration should be proud of themselves!

Good grief..!! Here we go again: Just use the word 'apparent' and a headline question mark and it's supposed to be news? All of this is several years old. If you insist on digging into the distant past, how about refreshing our memories about Ted Kennedy's vehicular homicide or John Kerry's treasonous activities or the classics like Bill Clinton's or JFK's or LBJ's many sexcapades? Or even Obamba's drug use? I think that'd be more interesting and you could put your magazine right next to the Star, Globe and Inquirier in the check-out lanes.

Just another right wing "holier-than-thou" conserative with claims to high morals in the news. As to wife #2 (Cindy) you only need to Google or Wikipedia her and see her past. Besides breaking up his first marriage, she was a drug addict and stole drugs from a non-profit medical group that she founded. This wasn't when she was young..it happened in the late 80's, early 90's (partially during the time hubby, John, had his fingers in the messy Keating pie).

At the end of the day all of this political trash will not matter. If you can't see the writing on the wall, you are blind. The Democrats will have a landslide victory in November. Not only in the White House but in both houses of Congress. Republicans get used to it! I don't even know why you would bother to vote.

The Democrats don't have a prayer. Neither of their candidates is electable.

I wonder if the media, pundits, conservative talk show hosts and public in general read the New York Times article.

The just of the article was more about the influence of Lobbyists or the perception of Lobbyist influence on Senator McCain. After all, Senator McCain has projected himself as a reformer who has tried to lessen the powerful influence of Lobbyists and their impact on national politics. There were several examples of this influence. Lobbyist Vicki Iseman was one example used by the Times. These are the issues that should be examined.

Senator McCain and those attacking the New York Times have neglected to address the issues of lobbyist influence upon Senator McCain, which is what the majority of the article was written about. In fact Senator McCain and those attacking the New York Times seem to be attempting to avoid these issues and doing a good job of doing so.

Thanks for finally addressing this part of the New York Times article!

Hawkeye in Neb have you looked into the peddling of influence by Lobbyists on Obama? Generally people make accusations on other like they have on McCain to throw the light on him rather then their candidate who is truly the dirty one.Obama is bought and paid for by so many lobbyists and special interests it boggles the mind.

what a lot of bull. It is not a suprise that a very fair minded new paper such as the new york times would write such a story. Now how about some stories about the Clintons dealings. Oh excuse me the new york times supports that politicial party (D).

  • Posted By: chillfour@yahoo.com @ 02/22/2008 1:18:04 PM

Sounds as though McCain has learned a lot from the Bush administration about lying and making false accusations when challenged.

I wrote that I am tired of the news media always digging up some kind of dirt on someone during elections. No one is flawless in this day and age. I am a democrat, but I could not believe this came out at this time. My first comment went to the air somewhere but I needed to say this. Look for people's good, the bad would have shown on its own by now. McCain has been around for awhile, it is funny how things suddenly pop up at certain times but otherwise left alone or irgnored. I have a hard time respecting newspapers or the news media as a whole for the past few years.

I am distressed by this muckraking whether it is John McCain, Hillary Clinton or Barrak Obama. Can we please focus on the real issue; how will they act as President given the hisotry of public service, accomplishments, and politcal platform. I want to know about their solutions; not this muckraking dribble. If John McCain was that bad he would be under indictment. And what Lobbyist won't claim influence; isn't that how they make their money? Please give me a break; Shame on the New York Times Any side of a bad coin is still on a bad coin. Let me see;Barrak Obama deals with slum lords, Hillary didn't divorce Bill so she could become..., John McCain does business with attractive lobbyist. I could go on and on but the truth is these peope make most of look worse than Al Copone; it's just that we have them under a super powered microscope. Come on people grow up. Let's look at the real problems, the real solutions and the real issues.

Funny, this article had been in the works for weveral months before the New York Times decided to endorse McCain. I'm not a fan of his...still pulling for Huckabee although I know it is a lost cause. I may have to vote for Obama. I feel he is misguided but at least he seems to be more honest than anyone else who will be left to vote for.

monmon68, your remark lacks class or anything of value whatsoever. You have a right to say this 'stuff' I suppose, however, you are not revealing anything about anyone except yourself . . . this simply suggests what is in 'your' mind and not McCains.
