YAWN! The ultimate non-story. Shocking stuff that your neophyte news organization is continuing with this nonsense. Why are you not reporting about Larry Sinclair's unrebutted allegations against B. Hussein Obama? Sinclair filed a federal lawsuit recently in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota in connection with his charges that B. Hussein Obama's cocaine use continued past his teenage years, including the time period he was in the Illinois legislature. I suppose the fairness doctrine only goes one way?

This is a good example of why the average citizen has become cynical about the credibility of the 4th Estate . The TIMES appears to be strongly attempting to "create" the news that's fit to print! SHAME

MSNBC must be having a slow news day. Oh by the way, is Floyd Abrams related to that nitwit at MSNBC? Hmmmmm....

Can we all at least admit that we would never be hearing about this from the Times should the person of interest be a prominent Democrat? I would refer to Bob Bennet's take on the whole matter since he was the one who investigated it originally as part of his role for the Senate Ethics committee. And no, where's there's smoke from the NY TImes, there's usually nothing more than fiction. Why anyone believes anything that rag offers is beyond understanding.

The only "holes" in this leftist smear campaign are Isi-cough and the New York Slimes.

I AM SADDENED THAT THE NEW YORK TIMES ,IN ORDER TO AVOID BEING SCOOPED BY ANOTHER PAPER< SAW FIT TO PUBLISH THIS GOSSIP AND PERHAPS DAMAGE JOHN McCAIN. IF IT WAS MORE THAN GOSSIP, AND SOME CREDIBLE EYE WITNESSES (WITH NO HIDDEN AGENDA,) SHARED THIS STORY WITH THE NYT THEN I WOULD FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THIS EXPOSE.

MSNBC is acting like a cheerleader for the NY Times. This must mean McCain has a real chance of being our next President!

What a joke, a Senator lighting a fire under a bureaucrat to make a decision....not telling them what decision to make, just to get their a** is gear and make one, is a GOOD thing.. I (and anyone who has had to move anything through a bureaucracy) wish more representative would do the same. This is a fabricated scandal and on top of that, this article does not address the main point being made in the last news cycle about an affair....where did that go? It looks like the reporters thought "That's going nowhere, what else can we find?"

  • Posted By: swdemocratforchange @ 02/22/2008 12:05:24 PM

It appears as though McCain is not telling the whole truth and when there's smoke, there's usually fire! I'm not hugely concerned about his philandering, but did it cause him to go to greater lengths to help Vicki Iseman's client? And where are his ethics in all of this??? As a conservative Republican, he should know better, but apparently doesn't.....and this is the guy that the Republicans are going to have as their presidential nominee?????

Looks like the NEW YORK TIMES is up to it's old tricks of trying to smear anything Republic! It's a sham that they are so pro Democratic... MD, Mesa,AZ

  • Posted By: dewcooper @ 02/22/2008 12:03:10 PM

Not a fan of the democrat-in-republican clothing McCain, but asking the FCC to make a decision is a far cry from telling them what decision to make...

Nice smear tactic by the mainstream media. Clinton rapes 3 different women in the 90's and nobody in the media cares...but McCain MAY HAVE POSSIBLY spoke to someone who MAYBE he was interested in....LMAO!!!!
