If you are looking for honesty and integrity, you are all looking in the wrong place. These are the stars old media presents to you and you can't wait to support "their chosen winners". Who are they to choose the President?

Congressman Ron Paul's record of 20 years of service in the Federal Govt. is squeaky clean and he tells the truth about what is going on in our Government. Wake up people and look at this family man's principles and voting record.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/22/2008 7:16:53 PM

What are you, his best friend? Campaign manager? How many times are going to post this sorry diatribe?

      • Posted By: brainon4u @ 02/22/2008 7:25:16 PM

I guess until you turn your brain back on. How long will that take?
Sorry, I just recognize someone (Ron Paul) who is NOT a politician - do you get that one? BTW - Paul is too much of a gentleman to pull things like this. I would love to take back the Republian party from neo-cons.

        • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/22/2008 8:14:19 PM

I love that neo-con crap. Very Terminator-ish. And you didn't address my point (which you must not have gotten): no matter your position or the validity, why are you saying it over and over?

Ron Paul is a selfish Racist who only serves the rich

    • Posted By: alltaken @ 02/22/2008 7:31:16 PM

If Ron Paul were a contender, the left would dumb something up or more likely make something up on his "squeaky" clean record. This is the way of the left. It is the only way they can win as they have ZERO ideas beyond Socialism and a few people still oppose that stupidity. So they lie, and lie some more.

Were teh Dumbocrats against teh Patriot Act? Yes, they screamed about it for years. When they took control of teh Senate adn teh HOuse, did they repeal teh "evil" law? Of coourse not, just lie to the American people, and at least those of the Democrat party are to stupid to see. it.

Unbelievable, so if I have a zoning request and the zoning board sits on it for six months longer than any other issue and I ask a member of my township committe to ask the zoning people to make a decision, the committee person is guilty of favoritism. Folks, the news clans are circling the wagons.

Out of the entire field of cadidates for the presidency, only one refused help from lobbyists. As John Edwards said, "To speak of changing the old Washington way of doing business while accepting the aide of lobbyist is hypocritical." Every other candidate has lobbyist raising money for them. It is no coincidence that John Edwards has already been driven out of the race. With their bottomless pockets, the lobbies manipulate Congress and the voters. We have surrendered our country to them.

Polital Hack. So who did you talk to on November 3, 2004? Not taht hard to beleive. Where is the cumm stained dress? Do you have anything? Of course not. Actaully proof of anything is never in teh leftist play book. "It is the seriousness of the charge". That is teh Democrats call. Well, unless you are a Democrat and have $90,000 in cash wraped in foil in your freeze, found by the FBI, and evidence out the AZ on bribery. In that case keep your Senate seat and all chair positions.

Of course if you are Republicna and let an off color joke at a 90 year old's birthday, you must go. Unless you happen to be a Democrat.

Democrats have zero ethics adn zero morality. Then again they pretty much openly claim to be ammoral anyway.

    • Posted By: alltaken @ 02/22/2008 7:35:08 PM

Do we have a cumm stained dress? Just a tiny bit of difference. Nice try thought. And do we have a Jeniffer Flowers? OR a Paul Jones? Or a Kathrine whatsher name? OR any of a dozen others?

Ok, McCain was seen with a woman. Can't have any of that now, can we?

  • Posted By: brainon4u @ 02/22/2008 7:08:20 PM

McCain should be allowed to defend his integrity - whoops, nothing to defend! It is a sad day when society no longer holds anyone accountable for corruption, lies, double-talk, conspiricy; old media choose him for us? He's also a Democrat in sheeps clothing.

What a great reason to vote. Of course this is the only way a Dumbocrat can get elected is to court people without brains. The brainless will buy anything as long as they say to the greedy immoral brailess that they will steal from the "rich" and line their pockets with gifts of college tuition, retirment, free healthcare, daycare, etc..

Do you remember? Tehy screamed about Bush not enacting the tenants of the 911 Commison. Do you remember? Well, after gaining power in both the Senate and House did the (lying) Democrats pass a bill to repeal the Patriot Act? Did they pass a bill to enact the 911 Commiosn tenatns? Of course not. None of this has anything to do with the honor and integrity of Mr McCain. It is a smear campaign. All politicians when in office or running for office are involved in taking actions which have nothing to do with actions they may have taken to get the FCC or other agencies to act on items which have been brought before them instead of just putting the items on a "waiting list" which is what it appears the deal he is accused of influencing back so many years ago.i

    • Posted By: brainon4u @ 02/22/2008 7:19:33 PM

Since when is it a smear campaign when it's the truth. Do you remember what the word means? This has Huckalooser's fingerprints all over it.

Perhaps you Republicans should do your homework!

Why are republicans so hateful? But, why does McCain have a handfull of lobbyists for advisors? What additional connections does McCain have to RenziI (the indicted rep from AZ). If McCain is so upright and honest how come he left his first wife for the bimbo he married?

I have to apologize to Tess now. This comment, not hers, is actually the stupidest comment I've read today. First, his connection with Renzil? Well, they're both from the same state. And . . . well, I guess that's it. Second, have you met Cindy McCain? How do you know she's a bimbo? She might be, but I've never talked with her, so I can't say she's a bimbo. You, on the other hand, have bimbo written all over you. Not only was your comment stupid, but I have a sneaking suspicion that your handle is short-hand for Barbie Blaze and you're actually a stripper getting ready for a night on the pole.

I was thinking of changing my handle to "WhyAreYouStupid." What do you think?

  • Posted By: trocks103 @ 02/22/2008 6:49:52 PM

the 8 years of peace was only because our enemies were unchallenged as clinton cut defense and intelligence to the core and did not react when americans were killed by terrorists and the economy was the direct result of the previous administration of george bush which held the line on spending and increased business incentives to profit and employ millions and the budget surplus always lags a few years behind policy which means again the senior bush gave us that gift and not the low life clinton

ON THE MCCAIN STORY, let us at least admit that nobody is perfect. Why were McCain staffers worried enough to try to keep the woman in question from him (according to NYT)? Any favors to the lobbyist? (NYT, Washington Post and Newsweek suggest otherwise). Even on the issue of sex, do people in public office readily admit to anything unless caught red-handed. It took a Kenneth Star to out Bill Clinton. We must not get into this habit of being disarmed once Sen. McCain says "honor and integrity." I find it very interesting that just two days ago, Sen. McCain was engaging in what, according to his own words, amounts to "gutter politics" when he assailed Obama's statement and speeches as "empty". THOSE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULD NOT THROW THE FIRST STONE, they say! REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT? Describing Sen. Obama's statement and speeches as "empty" even when he has advanced many concrete policy positions, many would say, is "gutter politics" and opportunistic. It would have been more honorable to point out where you disagree with him on issues, instead of trying to belittle and marginalize him, which sounds a bit racist. I remember how Sen. McCain felt when the Bush people "fleet-boated" him. He should not be doing it against others, or he will completely lose credibility. He should not be sounding like Bill and Hillary, the new poster couples on gutter-sniping! It is ironic that he now complains against the New York Times. I can???t help wondering whether Mike Huckabee or Romney had anything to do with moving the story along. Who benefits from any fallout? Finally, let???s not get into believing that Sen. McCain is an untouchable because he served his country. His service is great, and must always be acknowledged; but it is no more important than those of thousands of servicemen and women who suffered, even died, in our current and past wars. There should be no ???sacred cow??? in a true democracy where there are competing ideas and sometimes solitudes. Service alone should not imply that one is the best leader for the country even when he has ideas that so many Americans disagree with!

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/22/2008 7:11:42 PM

It is not gutter politics to criticize another candidate for not having concrete policy plans. What the Republicans did to Clinton relative to Lewinsky was gutter politics; what the Democrats are apparently getting ready to do to McCain is gutter politics. The difference is that one relates to policies that politicians carry out (see the root there, Doc?) while the other doesn't.

"Glass houses" and "first stone" come from two separate metaphors.

      And it was "Swift-Boating," not "Fleet-Boating." I don't know what a Fleet-Boat is.

I'm beginning to question whether you're actually a doctor, even one of inanity.

  • Posted By: estee @ 02/22/2008 6:47:58 PM

I should like to know how being locked in a windowless cell for 5 years qualifies anyone to lead the free world in crises. Perhaps the experience was helpful in learning to meditate. Can the senator meditate us out of the economic downturn? Or perhaps help cure those without medical insurance?.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/22/2008 7:01:50 PM

I'm pretty sure that he's not saying that five years of imprisonment is what qualifies him for the office. I would guess without really knowing (which appears to be something you're good at, so now we're on the same wavelength) that his military experience gives some credence to his ability to serve as commander-in-chief, and his years in politics (and yes, I know this is ridiculous) gives him governing experience. So no, I don't think his meditation habits will turn our economy around or provide medical insurance for those that don't have it.

By the way, have you met Barbie Blaze or Doctor Inanity? You should. I think you'd get along well with them.

How clever... this info has been around for years. Yet, it does not come up until McCain has sealed his nomination as the Republican candidate for President?!?!?!?! Romney is already gone, Huckabee can't pull it off, even without conservative competition, and now that McCain has the delegates, the MUD begins to fly. This is Democratic scheming for sure. If more people had researched McCain's history they would have seen this coming. Yes, he did some very heroic things in the Vietnam war, however as a whole he has lived a life of risky and rebellious behavior. I know a lot of heroic men who have served our country... that does not automatically qualify them to lead our country.
Huckabee hasn't been so honest either.
Too bad we already lost our best hope for an honest candidate (Romney) who was GROSSLY misrepresented by the media.
Is anyone else as disgusted as I am by how the media manipulates, lies and holds their dirtiest cards for just the right moment? I think it is pitiful that we let them get away with it!!!!

    • Posted By: Barbiebier @ 02/22/2008 7:01:09 PM

What's with the accusations against Huckabee? All he's ever done is lead with distinction. Of the candidates running for office, Hilary Barack and John have all been in Washington will the power to change things already. And they have all failed to do so. What makes anyone think that they will be able to succeed now where they have already failed? Mike Huckabee has successfully been in the CEO position in Arkansas, and has left behind a great track record of accomplishment. It's too bad that not enough people could realize the true greatness this man has to offer this nation. I can think of none better qualified to lead our country at this time than Mike Huckabee. He is certainly more electable than John McCain will ever be.

Comment: How funny it is to hear liberals talk about how the Republicans don't even want McCain. The last I looked the only candidate of the 3 left who is clearly the pick of their party is McCain. I would take 50 more years of Bush over a party supported by Rosie O, Sean Penn, Bill Mahr, Susan Serandon, Whoopie Goldberg, and anyone from the traitors at the N.Y. Times. Our military will be gutted if Obama is the next President.

    =========================

Why do we need to spend almost 3 times more than the rest of the world COMBINED on our military? The paranoid delusions that Fox News and the republicans have brainwashed you and those that belive that this is necessary are wrong and playing into the hands of the corporatist globalist elites that want wars without end to further line their coffers with blood money. 100 more years in Iraq? "Lose, McCain" I say, "LOSE!"

The hole is not a hole and the statements that McCain makes are not matters of under-cover corruption, but rather of citizen/business fair handshake representation that we all demand and argue to get. Stepping in on the behalf of someone else because of their right to do business is the right of a citizen, and to demand that it be done is the need of a citizen that a political representitive must carry out. I am sure if Mrs Obama knew this she would have found this to be something about our country to be proud of durning her adult life.

    • Posted By: nik04 @ 02/22/2008 6:52:14 PM

I am disappointed in this country when people make excuses for real scandal (McCain) but want to vilify a person for comments taken seriously out of context (Mrs. Obama).
