No doubt the statandard of construction of Bahria town is outstanding, but the only thing that is of great concern is that he has really damaged the environmet in rawalpindi because i am the eye witness of this tragic event of cutting of trees near DHA phasi 1 cIslamabad ad my uncle lives there, there were millions of green trees planted by british government nearly 100 years ago , but in 2006=7 bahria town started cutting illegally and later handed this land over to DHA for billions of rupees , this is a fact ,if in doubt go to DHA phase1 cislamabad and see with your own eyes.

I have seen the vast canvas of Bahria Town and believe you me its epic and amazing. Malik is developing the new Dubai and his vision is build and invest in infrastructure not just houses or plots.

After reading the comments from various participants of discussion, it seems that the discussion is getting biased and merely a consequence of some personal grief. I think we should broaden our spectrum as Bahria Town is not constructing homes for some individuals but for the whole nation down there in Pakistan. It is not fair if my single payment is delayed for processing in Bahria Town then I start saying that Bahria Town should be stopped instead I should appreciate them for at least they are providing economical shelters to lots and lots of my other Pakistani brothers and sisters.

I totally agree with Mr. nasirUSA that land developers are a serious threat to the forests and Barsati Nalas. BUT We must appreciate such threats because they are turning forests into little heavens on earth and Barsati Nalas into state-of-the-art rivers and lakes. In my personal opinion Human Beings deserve more to be sheltered than jackals and other wild beasts.

I can see comments here from some other mentally sick people also, who put their personal interest ahead of interest of their whole community. They are well aware of the fact that Bahria Town is doing miracles in a developing country like Pakistan but they have nothing to do against their sick mentality. I am damn sure that these fellows can be found in the first queue to collect the registration forms of Bahria Town???s any new project.

Bahria Town is the only developer in Pakistan which has projects on its credit which are totally purchased by the people of Pakistan in the record short span of time. Its a clear evident of Trust of masses in Bahria Town???s name. By the way, can anyone gimme the name of a single developer working in Pakistan who can provide me a 125Sq Yrds, fully finished home in just USD5000 (1USD=70PKR). AT LEAST BAHRIA TOWN IS DOING THIS.

Finally I must say that Bahria Town has also made a mistake they sold homes to those fellows who think twice before purchasing a gallon of gasoline after recent price-hike in the country. NICE MISTAKE?????? KEEP IT UP BAHRIA TOWN?????????

Good discussion is going on, but it should be clear and according to the actual situation. We have to present things in a positive way, although it relates with the person???s thinking.
Any way I just want to share my comments on it, Pakistan is not a developed country and its still under developing and obviously needs more and more progress for becoming a stable nation, so in this regards its important that who are doing good for it.
Bahria Town is well known developers in real estate industry of Asia, and are doing some constructive work that shows the high standards of the organization.
That???s why it has been acknowledged by international magazine and its true????????????.
Although I am not having any property in Bahria Town but even then because of its remarkable working I was observing it and was thinking to invest in it.
I really appreciate their life changing ground realities and seeable developments in our cities Lahore and Rawalpindi, which make the visitors be proud that they are having such civic amenities and high living standards for all levels of people in our country Pakistan.

This article shows the right picture of Bahria town.Its simply beautiful, ample, full of lush green gardens and safer than any other housing project in Pakistan. Being a member of Bahria town I consider my self as one of the luckiest guys in town. I am a member of ???Awami Villas???. This project ???Awami Villas??? was launched for low income group. A complete two bedroom house costs only Rs350000/-. Before getting a villa booked, I could never think of my own house as property prices are at their highest level and out of the purchasing power of many mediocre families.
Being a father of two I have always been concerned about my children???s security, as there have been terrorist attacks in Pakistan and has got a higher crime rate. But according to the statistics, no crime has been registered in Bahria town since it???s launched.
Bahria town has utilized the abandoned land in Rawalpindi and Lahore. It has given a beautiful view to the deserted lands in the surrounding of these cities.
In Pakistan there is shortage of housing units but Bahria town has played a vital role in bringing down the required number of houses. Mr.Malik Riaz Hussain has been such a big helping hand to the housing ministry by building number of houses per year.

Bahrai Town indeed has set a new history in corruption in Pakistan with the help of Musharraf government. There are thousands of victim families. They have destroyed the natural beauty of the Rawalpindi Islamabad with the help of corrupt administration especially the Generals. They have totally damaged the natural landscape of Rawalpindi.They are creating deforestation by cutting down the natural vegetation, trees and shrubs. The wildlife of the Potwar region is already reached to endangered situation. I can not hear any more the voices of the Jackals and foxes in this region. The Birds are moving out from the region due to lack of a safe place for nesting. Is this a development or cruelty with the Mother Nature.

There are hundreds of such type natural water ways /Nalas which were running from Margalla down to Potowar. They have either stopped their natural flow or totally closed their main stream through levelling the mountains. This is serious threat to the Environment. That day is not far when there will be heavy rainfalls and the villages which are surrounding these water flows will be flooded due to closure of the natural way. This will also cause flood in whole Rawalpindi and Islamabad. On the other hand the people who have spent millions in buying these plots to erect houses will be sunk in water. They will loose their properties and lives as well, But who is enjoying from this situation, the Land Mafia , Bahria town, Defence Housing Authority with the help of Patwaries and Tehsildars and Generals.........
No one is giving attention to this issue, the government shall conduct an independent inquiry and put immediate ban on these housing projects. The international environment organizations shall intervene this issue as well specially the WWF, IUCN, UNDP and Pakistan Government.

I totally agree with Kashif , Bahria Town and Defence Housing Authority are the biggest land mafia in the history of Pakistan. These groups are the most corrupt we have ever seen in the history under the leadership of General Musharraf and corrupt Person MALIK RIAZ(an illiterate person who through bribery and providing girls to Military Generals have become billionaire).
They have damaged the whole country. I am afraid that the way Bahria town is looting the country, we may end up with changing the name of Pakistan as Bahria town banana republic This is such a shameful act which is questioning the sovereignty of the state. Thousands of families are being affected by the curse of these groups. Hundreds of people are killed by these people. But no one is taking action against them.

The police department especially the Islamabad police, IG Shahid Balouch, SSP Kalim Imam are their key agents who help them in looting lands of poor people. The islamabad administration headed by chief commissioner Hamid Ali Khan is also part of the game.
The bahria town with the help of DHA and a land developing group Habib Rafiq/ Petrotrade have invaded three villages in Rawat. They have killed more than 10 persons and police is not registering the case against the culprits.
The DHA team comprise of Capt Muzamil, Major Imtiaz, Brig Iftikhar(adminsitrator), Brig Javed and colnol Bokhari under the patron ship of elite Generals. These people are all the time hovering around the Rawalpindi and grabbing land from poor and helpless people through military card. They have hired a private army of gunmen who are carrying always machine guns and clushenkowes.
The other pity is that Jewish lobby is active in Pakistan in the shape of middle east land developers. EMMAR is one example which has joined hands with DHA and Bahria town. These Jews want to set up a model of EAST INDIA Company to occupy the whole Pakistan. These will be sitting in the capital city of Pakistan and plan to take half an hour to occupy the capital. This the real story behind the real estate dealer and smuggler Malik Riaz and his buddy Generals. They want to crack the country from inside. They have controlled all the corners of administration from land revenue department, police department and even Judiciary. I have heard from a reliable source that the Chief Justice and all judges of Rawalpindi High court are nominated on the recommendations of Looter Malik Riaz. Why not he be powerful when he allots luxury apartments and houses to our President, Governors, Generals, Top Bureaucrats and also to the Judges.

This is shame to the Generals for showing their greediness and licking the hands of a third class person Riaz. I am not hopeless that ALLAH gives free hand to such kind of people and that day is not far away when he will be hanged in the court of JUSTICE from ALLAH Almighty.
