The author of the article did not knw what Bahria Town had done with the people of Pakistan. Malik Riaz with the help of many army men, looted the hard earned money of the people. Take the example of Bhria Phase Nine. Malik Riaz Sold about 50 thousand files. Whereas he had not enough land to give so many plots. People purchased these files on inflationary prices. As things came clear, prices of these files tumbled down in thousands. Any person who want refund money from BT, he has to wait for 1 to 2 years. Malik Riaz and his affilitates has looted thousands of Pakistanis. The author of the article should come to Pakistan and he should interview those people who had lost their hard earned mony by this land mafia
In this connection people should read the book Military Incorporation by Ayesha Siddiqa.

Dear Sir, I don???t know where do you get your facts if isn???t from a comic book with fictional and drama like statements. Have you ever seen Bahria Town or even know if a private developer or even government / military cannot acquire a single piece of land without the free will or willingness of the owner. Do you have any proof to substantiate your claims ? I am a proud Pakistani and am filled with joy that western media is giving another face of Pakistan. This is the first time a Pakistani entrepreneur has been acknowledged by Newsweek. Newsweek is a 70 years old institution and they get their facts right, do you know that Mr.Z A Bhutto had tried his level best as a head of state to get the cover of Newsweek but no avail. Please take a trip to any Bahria Town or visit their website to get your facts right. Bahria Town, Pakistan is proud of you and keep building a better and prosperous Pakistan.

Malik Riaz Hussain is the biggest land Mafia (Land Grabber) Behria Town in the country he has usurped the land of the vegetable growers all around big cities and converted those green areas into housing schemes where less than 5 % houses are built. The result of his land grabbing is vegetable growers and milk men usually living around the cities on the green Acers have disappeared to pave the way of this biggest land Mafia. Due to disappearance of green fields the common man is suffering with pollution and paying many fold cost for fresh vegetables and milk. Defense Housing Schemes also did the same.

He created housing boom in league with Ishrat Hussian Ex-Governor State bank of Pakistan who without reasonable cause immediately cut down bank mark up / profit rates.
He id it without planning the economy to create industries with the result people took their money from banks and invested in the false housing schemes. Lack of jobs and lack of industries created huge inflation all around the country. Now people whose lands have been bulldozed are wandering here and there but nothing happens. Those who have paid installments of their plots as investment are unable to get their actual money back. The Chief Justice Iftkhar Mohammad Choudhry had commenced hearing about the land grabbing of poor agriculturists and scarcity of food items as human rights cases but Musharraf deposed him.

The Land grabbing and the Housing Schemes are the biggest financial scandal of Pakistan.

Being a Pakistani living in UK, the only news that I get to read or see in international media about my country are the one's portraying Pakistan as a ???Terrorist State???. Agreed, things in Pakistan have not been smooth for the last few months but the media too has not been fair on its part. This article came in as a pleasant surprise. I am glad that someone presented the other side of the picture, the real Pakistan. Bahria Town certainly is an achievement for all Pakistanis??? to be pride about. With his undying passion Malik Riaz Hussain has very meticulously crafted a legacy, which places Pakistan on the world map. Far behind him are the ones who claim to come from the most progressed parts of the world. Let us all celebrate our nation and encourage and recognize those who make us proud Pakistani's.

Enjoying a luxury life in Gulf for about past 21 years I have recently joined my home land Pakistan with my family. I was simply shocked to see the under developed local areas of Pakistan even in this modern era along with semi violence with in the country. Unlike many others I was in search of peace, reliable and comfortable place but hopeless until I found your articles on the internet. After reading your article and doing my personal research over your said words I was extremely surprised to see that there is some one like Mr. Malik hussain who cares for the needs and comfort and security of his fellow country friend. Let me add that the features mentioned in your article are more than 100% correct from describing the sumptuousness town with in Pakistan. After seeing this town why one shall move out and away from his home land when we can find all the requirements like in Gulf, USA and UK with in Pakistan to be clearer with in Bahria Town. I really desire to meet these two gentlemen Mr. Hussain and Mr. Khan to congratulate them on the success of establishing a tremendous town. I really appreciate and admire the way you have taken out your time to prove us the better future of Pakistan after observing such violence recently with in the country.

Gated communities exist in isolation. Almost saying to the political and military elite that whatever hell you create for the common people - who live outside the gated communities - you the rich and powerful will live in the safe cocoon of the gated paradise. But that is not the reality! Bastille was stormed.

When the people are given no other option for a safe and normal living with food, clothing, shelter, education and security...hope....no amount of gated communites will keep them safe!
