is it Win All or Lose All in this nomination? Is it abt putting a democrat as President or THE democrat as President? If one really & truly cares for the country, wat's the harm in getting all the good ideas together & championing it as President regardless of who it is? Its politics after all, I guess. Good luck

Go ahead Quit, That's who I want as my representative and that's who I want as the President. That's why I'm moving to another country.

I don't understand how people can be so mean to each for merely expressing an opinion. Whatever happened to the golden rule?? Sure, you're free to disagree; this IS America after all. But turning a disagreement into name calling is utterly ridiculous and childish. You people need to grow up and put this wasted energy into something that's worth fighting for.

Hey, Baby Boomer, who not take an English class so you can learn how to spell?

Its much too late for grace in Hillary's case. This woman acts like she's gone off the deep end. Does she really think the American people cant see her dirty politics and inconsistencies?, her anger?, her frustration?

She has lost 11 states in a row. She has lost every debate badly in most people's views(according to post-debate polls). She has presented an almost psychotic mix nasty attacks and gestures of sentiment toward Obama.

And we are supposed to be confident in her ability to lead our country. She doesnt deserve that role, let alone appear competant for it.

Hillary has a Napoleon Complex. Only she will be ready to work on Day One (anyone else will not use the period from Election to Inauguration Day to adequately prepare; they'll just stand in the Oval Office wringing their hands). Only she will be able to function as commander-in-chief (despite the fact that she wiped her butt with military brass while she was First Lady). Only she has experience (despite the fact that she is a lacklustre junior senator in a Congress whose approval rating is ... 23%, maybe?).

Thanks liawc. It amazes me that people still have such caveman mentality.... they somehow think that if we terrify the crap out of everyone, we'll be safe....

You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!! Obama is Fake and labeled as a big fat liar! He's gay! He let someone suck his penis and we're letting this guy enjoy the fringe benefit of abusing our trust? C'mon, let's all be realistic here. We all have imperfections, but let us not forget that aside from being black, he embraced "Islam".....let the 911 be an instant opener to us all...we can't afford a Black Muslim to derail us once again....enough is enough!!! Barack Obama is not on your side neither on everyone side- he's after his own welfare!!!! America, we need Hilary!!!!!

Hello, Racist. It's so nice to see you again. It's been so long since you and I hung out with Jim Crow.

The First Amendment is a wonderful thing. But then again, at times, so is castrative birth control.

Jonathan Alter should get out now.

Agreeing it is time to bow out gracefully is not hating Hillary Clinton. I'm a 56 year old white female and as long as I can remember, politics has a well earned reputation of being a dirty game. I have nothing but love and respect for Mrs Clinton but after researching all candidates of both parties, not only did I decide to support Mr Obama, I'm a volunteer for his Presidential campaign. Check out his record of service. Since his early twenties, Obama has consistantly had the interests of middle class America influence his decisions. Mrs Clinton also has a record of service but, at times, has comprimised the middle class America... the bread & butter America... the working class America...

It's way too sad for you to let the repulicans remain in office after running our country into the ground just to try and prove a point. You are doing a great injustice to yourself and your kids. Oh, maybe you don't care about the future of our country because you don't have any offspring to carry on your legacy and lineage of who you are. Be true to your party. GET BEHIND THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT, the PEOPLE OF THESE UNITED STATES HAVE CHOSEN - PRESIDENT ELECT, BARACK OBAMA!

Nice asinine 'commentary' from someone who cannot possibly know the outcome of this election. My subscription to Newsweek, which I've had for years, by the way, will be cancelled immediately. Jonathan Alter, you obviously have your own personal agenda on this issue and Newsweek sees fit to let you spew it out to the public. Shame on you. Your 'commentary' just lost your bosses my support for good. When Hillary ralies forward, and wins, I will write back so you can eat crow. Newsweek should fire you. Do you think you are some kind of god or something?

I was for Hillary 100%, I have nothing personally again Obama but he is just not experienced enough. Yes he will more then likely win the primary but like myself and many Hillary supporters I know we will not be voting for Obama come November unless Hillary???s his running mate, which also won't happen. I see allot of otherwise Democrats leaning towards 3 party candidates after Obamas becomes the nominii for the democratic party. Then all that I see is a lose to McCain? This is way to sad that people are judging Hillary because she???s a Woman. If she were a man with all the same views, there would be no doubt in anyone???s mind, she was the best Man for the job. This just proves the narrow minded thinking of the people in this country and how they were brain washed by voting in the dumbest president yet and twice for that matter.

Marine, your ignorant comments only reaffirm why you joined the marines in the first place...because you are too stupid to serve humanity in any other way. I don't pick up a gun and go kill complete strangers to secure oil interests, because well, I actually use my head for something other than a target. In case you weren't aware, our freedom of speech is NOT the result of our troops fighting overseas, but rather, because the original patriots had the courage to actually disagree with the actions of their government. It is not only our right, but our obligation, to question the actions of our government. Opposing the war is not contradictory to supporting our troops. What if president bush sent our troops to kill all the impoverished and starving children in ethiopa? If I opposed that, would I be unpatriotic? Would I be a Hillary loving hippie? Sometimes stupid people vote other stupid people into office and those stupid people make stupid decisions. Just becaue I disagree with it doesn't mean I'm unAmerican. I'm not going to feel stupid, or have my patriotism questioned, because some moron with a gun wants to blow people's heads off and disguise it as a thrust of democracy. Put down the gun and pick up a book my friend.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 2:34:32 AM

Well, then perhaps you should have your patriotism questioned for suggesting that Marines become Marines because they're too stupid to do anything else. You sound like a professor from Harvard who has his head so far up his own rectum that he and only he has all the answers to the questions that face humanity.

Okay, here's the link to the names of some Harvard secret society organizations (Alter and Obama are both graduates of Harvard -- Hillary a graduate of Yale). I wonder if Alter and/or Obama are members of any of the Harvard secret societies (similar to Skull and Bones of Yale -- of which I'm sure the guys would never admit a female!)

So, wouldn't it be interesting if there was any one in the media worth his/her salt who could get to the bottom of those who are REALLY backing Obama in this unprecedented media love-fest ?

Bob Woodward, where are you when we need you? What is really going on in this election?
