LAMusing it's time for you to get real! The media's have not buried Hillary - Hillary has buried Hillary acting of of the advice of her ill-equipped campaign. She has definately shown herself to be the weaker of the democratic candidates by continually attacking a man who has not or ever thrown the first stone at her! You say let the voters decide...guess what - they are and have! People are not stupid and to suggest the idea that the media can cloud the judgment of those United States law-abiding, educated, respected and civlized persons involved in this tight democratic nomination race is ridiculous! Read up and study the candidates history, voting records and actual bills each have championed wihtin thiei own party as well across party lines. Who has been more successful in moving these balls into law?! In the words of Hillary, "It's time to get real". Real about the race and real about the democratice nominee "We The People" have chosen!

    OMG!,

I just saw the show with Ellen & Hillary....It was a copy of Barney, the children's program with the purple dragon, OMG!

You said that the only way Clinton can win is if Oholy......uh I mean Obama "trips up badly"
Oh come now Mr. Alter: you and all the Obamaniacs KNOW that he can't trip up: this supreme being only floats or walks on water like a proper god.

Hillary voted for the war in Iraq when it was obvious to some of us (including the entire United Nations) that the reasons Bush gave to invade Iraq were fabricated. Hillary voted to declare Iran's National Guard a terrorist group which would set the stage for a war in Iran. Hillary's campaign has accepted big donations from lobbyists. Hillary sat on the board of WalMart, which is anti-union. On the contrary, Obama voted against the war, spoke out against the war, built a grassroots effort to raise captial so that he wouldn't have to accept big donations from lobbyists groups in exchange for promises that are not in the best interest of the American people and has a vision of America that is inclusive of all races, creeds, colors and genders. I'm black. I'm for Obama. Not because Obama is black, but because of the reasons stated above. And unracistlatino, you are a racist.

BHO did not vote one way or the other on the war. He wasn't even in Congress at the time. Your distortion of this fact leads me to negate any of your comments.

It's clear, we voted for change we got Nancy Pelosi but nothing changed, Hillary has been in Washington much too long, she plays the game and there will be no changes with her. The American public realizes that there is a better chance for change with Obama, He will get us out of Iraq, and bring new hope to our nation in our the problems right here at home.

    • Posted By: seniorchief @ 02/26/2008 1:54:01 AM

Nancy Pelosi belongs in a nurshing home, in the guarded care unit, in the room next to Harry Reid. What a couple of embarassing do-nothing idiots.

As a loyal Hillary supporter in Missouri and a native Democrat and have been loyal to the party for the last 20 years since I've been able to vote. Not saying anything about the party that I represent, but I do not know if I will able to vote for someone who has very little experience in political office. I, being a man, have no problem supporting a woman as President nor do I have a problem with Obama based on his nationality. I am a self-employeed businessman and my business has increased under the leadership of George W. and Don't think McCain will change it's prosperity much so therefore, without Hillary as the nominee, John....gets my vote! I want experience and not someone who is going preach about what they are going to do and more than likely accomplish NOTHING!

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 1:52:10 AM

What is a "native Democrat"? I wasn't aware that Democrats were born in one particular place that they could call their native home.

    jeriallen,

That is such an idiotic comment. Havent you ever heard of someone getting credit for anothers work. Clintons FIRST term was good because he got credit for what BUSH senior accomplished, Then his second term sucked, BECAUSE IT WAS ACTUALLY HIS WORK. Read some of my previous posts about Clinton, ALL FACTS, NOT JUST OPINION LIKE YOURS. And even now. Bush junior has been having to take credit for all the *** Clinton got us into in the first place. Perhaps, has he done his job to begin with 3000 INNOCENT PEOPLE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO DIE ON SEPT 11, 2001 DUMBASS

The Marines I know are articulate and respectful. Your post goes to show that the armed forces are scraping the bottom of the barrell for recruits. Then again, in defense of the marines: you probably aren't a real marine: more likely: a simple minded 40 year old who lives in mommies basement while playing with toy soldiers.

NO MEDIA! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PICK MY PRESIDENT! No matter how bias you are! No matter how much Obama propaganda you shove off on us I am ONLY voting for Hillary Clinton for President! Not Obama his not qualified and is a bag of hot air with no stance but Present on issues. McCain is just wrong on the issues. If she is not the nominee I will exercise my right of the write in vote! As a Clinton supporter, I agree that Hillary's chances are looking fairly grim these days. I do find it fairly unlikely that she will win in Texas/Ohio with enough of a margin to clinch a win for her. However, I disagree with the assesment that, should Hillary lose Texas and/or Ohio by what is likely to be a small margin, and then decide to step out, that she will be leaving in humiliation... The tides have clearly swung in favor of Obama in the last few weeks, but the race is still tight. I don't hold out much hope for a turnaround and am not agonizing about this as I feel that both candidates are very respectable, but to call it quits now? I don't see the point. You might say that it would be classy and I can understand how you would feel that way, but I think it would be just as easy to spin the story the other way and say that she quit before it was over. Clinton's premature exit could be just as disenfranchising to her supporters as her clinging on to the campaign far past the point where she doesn't have a prayer. Given how much of the media tends to portray this woman, I am skeptical that she would be lauded far and wide with praise for her classy exit.

If the Texas/Ohio primaries are evenly split or go to Obama, Clinton should immediately drop and endorse him. To drop out now is to undermine her own record (and campaign retoric) of tenacity and strength in the face of difficult situations.

Until the last battle is fought and last drop of blood spilled, Hillary Clinton should not and must not quit. I thought this is the American spirit. The assumption that she would lose is still far from confirmed and to ask her to exit now suggests a biased position against Hillary. Be fair to her. She will win or lose with grace and respect and dignity only when the final result is cast in stone.

Watch Saterday Night Live! They have shown how the media sides with Obama. Although hummerous the point is well said. Watch the news channels and see for yourself. Why didn't they suggest Obama to quit when he was well behind after Super Tuesday.

Lets just remember the radical musliums said they would destroy American from within,So keep that in mind as some of you vote for Obama.Jonn McCain would be a bad choice, but frankly I perfer the Huckabee

    • Posted By: gingerbaque @ 02/25/2008 8:08:26 PM

Obama is not a muslim. I'm so sick of hearing that. It's very racist and hateful beacuse it is implying that there is something wrong with all Muslim people. Even if he were muslim, I'd still vote for him because I like his politics. What happened to a separation between church and state?? Do most people realize how many millions of good Muslim people there are in the world- and that it is a handful of religious zealots that are making a bad name for all of them?

      • Posted By: louese330 @ 02/26/2008 1:46:39 AM

How do you know for sure hes not. He won't pledge our flag, so he's certainly not an american. My husband said he looked like a muslim when he saw a speech of his on tv and said he talks smooth but he would never vote for him. Then Low and behold I found the article on scam.com saying he was a muslim. Of course I found another that was disproving it. But I can't with a good concience ever vote for him now because of all that. I've never been for him anyway. I support Hillary!

      • Posted By: what @ 02/25/2008 8:18:26 PM

It's different. While Muslims can live in a democratic setting, the religion itself is incompatible with a democratic government. Don't fool yourself. Check out how islamic governments work.
But yes, Obama is not a Muslim.

        • Posted By: louese330 @ 02/26/2008 1:08:02 AM

I don't know if Obama is truly a Muslim or not myself, But when all these delegates started my husband said he would never vote for Obama because he did not look black but instead he looked like a rag head meaning a muslim. Oh he said he just uses alot of fancy speeches and he sounds good. Then low and behold I find an article on the internet on scams.com about Obama being a muslim, Then I find another article disproving everything it said about him. But my husband saying that and then me finding that article put enough fear in me that I will never vote for him. I have always been for Hillary anyway even before I knew she was running. I just knew she might run. Then when Oprah anounced she was backing him, I knew all of her followers would vote for him also. But not me I'm Hillary all the way. I really wish people would stop bringing up Bill messing around with Monica. What the Hell does that have to do with Hillary running for President! Everyone fails to mention how the Clintons brought our national Deficit down and got our country out of Debt. or how he got us out of the war. That the first Bush got us in. Oh well everyone will vote for whoever they want I guess! Go Hillary

    onebright13,

Here is an idea for you, first of all, the fact that Hillary is a woman has NOTHING to do with it. ALL you women need to get that out of your heads. Its not ALWAYS about that, and you DO NOT always know everything. The reason Hillary DOES NOT need to be in office is simply because of who she is and what she stands for. You want to voluntarily go bust your ass for 12 dollars an hour and then give 30% of it to some lazy ass on welfare, thats your business. But I for one, DO NOT want someone TAKING what I earned to give it to someone else.
IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS . . . . .
PLEASE, PLEASE, FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM !!!

And DO NOT tell me that you support out troops and then feed me that same bullshit people always say about, its my right to say what i want. Its your right BECAUSE of our troops. And if you support someone like Hillary Clinton, you DO NOT support our troops because Hillary DOES NOT support our troops. Get that in your thick heads.

    • Posted By: onebright13 @ 02/26/2008 1:46:00 AM

You don't understand what I was saying. I do surport are troops. My husband was in the war of the 70's. I always back are troops. Also, it doesn't matter how much you make, the goverment will alway take their share. Ask the NATIVE AMERICANs they are still getting screw. I am Native American and I have work from the age of 14 years old. I had to take care of my family. I do know what it is all about. I love my country and I am glad to live in the USA.

Please stop it. I am sick to death of the media burying Hillary. It is clear you feel Hillary can only have dignity if she withdraws - I beg to differ. She has shown enormous dignity throughout her life and most certainly in her career. So just stop it. As non-partisan media watch groups have reported - Obama has gotten positive press almost 3 to 1 over Hillary. The media is not supposed to be choosing our candidate. Let the voters decide.

  • Posted By: marine1298 @ 02/26/2008 1:44:16 AM

Heres a GREAT idea, why dont ALL OF YOU people pick up a rifle, go serve a tour of duty in Iraq, get some information FIRST HAND as opposed to getting from the media as you all have, and THEN come back and tell me you support Hillary. OTHERWISE,
Actually do something to SUPPORT your troops, are BY ALL MEANS, GET IN FRONT OF THEM

The fact that this article is being printed roughly a week before the Texas and Ohio primaries is infuriating and, frankly, irresponsible journalism. The race is far from over. How quickly everyone forgets that Obama was ahead in New Hampshire polls before Clinton won. Texas and Ohio voters deserve to have their voices heard and anyone implying otherwise does not truely understand what America is really about, DEMOCRACY.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 1:42:54 AM

Irresponsible journalism = oxymoron. Newsweek + Journalism = Nonsequitur.

  • Posted By: Tami25 @ 02/26/2008 12:02:34 AM

I live in Ohio and have been trying to decide between two good candidates. But this article makes me mad and it seems very sexist. I seem to hear a lot of sexist comments lately from the media and journalists, that i never heard before when only men were running for president. This writer has no right to tell anyone to quit.

Ding-Dong! It's the door-prize committee, and you just won the Imbecile of the Day Award. You do your state proud.
