What is Senator/ Former First Lady's failure...her choice in campaign organizers, or her ability to lead them?

Perhaps it's alright to prognosticate the demise of the Clinton campaign from where you sit. I guess it's your job, after all. But let me point out that the pundits have more often than not got their predictions wrong throughout this historic time in our country's history. So, I feel that since change is in the air, from the climate (pun intended) to our attitudes about war, gender, race, conservatism, and precedent, that I, for one, prognosticate this: Barack and Hillary will team up. I don't really care about all the pundit's reasons that they shouldn't, or wouldn't, or whatever. Their country needs them. Both of them. The question of win or lose has gone beyond our domestic politics. Why should our country suffer the loss of either when both are so urgently needed. And here's another thought: Add John McCain to the Clinton/Obama-Obama/Clinton administration. 'Cause from where I sit, the country can use all the help it can get.

    Thanks for thinking.

And Bill, we need you, too.

The pass the media is giving Obama is unbelievable. Unless you are reading the Chicago Tribune, you hear nothing of the intimate relationship Barack Obama had with the Syrian money launderer and slumlord Antoin Rezko. Obama downplays this and made it appear in the debate a month ago like he randomly did some work for the guy through a lawfirm. Even after Rezko was neck-deep in political corruption, Obama called him up, had the creep tour a home Obama was interested in purchasing and had Rezko's wife put her name to the purchase of the lot next door. Rezko had also tried to put the real estate agent brokering the deal (which itself has questions surrounding it) up for a state board years prior. Half the Illinois legislature that Rezko penetrated is sitting in jail now, can we be sure Obama won't be next? Wait and see, the Rezko trial is underway. The ultimate list of charges against this guy will turn your stomach including stealing millions from teacher's retirement and cashing in on funding designed specifically for African American and Hispanic small business owners (oh wait, he did find a black disciple from the Nation of Islam to pretend to front the businesses to get the contracts). Obama also fails to mention that Rezko hosted an exclusive fundraising extravaganza for his U.S. Senatoral bid in his home. Now that relationship sure doesn't sound like the excuse Obama gave in that debate. Remember, some church group allied with Rezko and Obama worked on their case for a few hours. Right, buddy. If these are the types of people Barack Obama keeps in his inner circle, we should all be wary.

I wasn't aware that half of the Illinois General Assembly was in jail. But then again, you weren't aware of that either, because it's not true, isn't that right? Crapball.

What is Hillary's failure...poor choice of campaign organizers...or poor leadership skills?

I think it's time for another Clinton to be in to straighten this mess that Bush has put us into. Look what Bill did for us. He straightened this country out the first time when daddy Bush was in. But becouse of one mistake everyone has critisized him when all the others have done it. But they didn't get cought. I think Hillary would be great for this country and meet with all the important issues at hand.

The media in this country is not only a disgrace but an embarrassment as well. What happened to fair and impartial reporting??

I hope Texas & Ohio come out in DROVES in support of Hillary March 4th and show the media that the citizens of this country CANNOT and WILL NOT be swayed or brainwashed by them...ESPECIALLY in something as important as a Presidential Election!!

Like you're the first person to have envisioned that scenario.

    • Posted By: violaken @ 02/26/2008 12:48:04 AM

I agree, Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton will be a winning ticket for sure, an inspired ticket for sure!!! Now if we can get Bill and Michelle to kiss and make nice....uh... wait a second, maybe not LOL!!!!

I am an independent who greatly favors the democratic chioces this year. I like both candidates for many good reasons and the election of either one would be a good outcome to me. However, I entirely disagree with your assessment in relation to Senator Clinton. In my opinion this race will go down to the wire. But I guess we will have to wait and see the results on March the 4th. Never before this civic process has been this exciting!!

  • Posted By: feverishbelly @ 02/26/2008 12:08:18 AM

What an IDIOT this writer is. I am a Democrat and always have been, but if Obama is chosen to represent the party, I along with a whole lot of other dems will be forced to vote republican. I also think that if Clinton loses the nomination, she should run as an independant. She would win for sure against Obama and McCain. It took a Clinton to get us out of the mess Reagan and Bush senior got us into....It will take a Clinton to get us out of the mess Monkey-boy Bush has got us in. How did you get the job you have anyway....being such an idiot and all?????

I am sorry to hear that you believe threatening to turn our country over to another four years of Republicn RuLE is the patriotic thing to do if your choice of candidate doesn't win. I am willing to put aside my preference and vote for whichever Democrat wins -- for the sake of my fellow citizens and especially for those miltitary who are sent to be wounded and die in someone else's civil war.
As for those who are using horrendous filthy language in defense of Sen. Clinton, do you know that reflects on er? JMBEnter Your Comment

      • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 1:33:48 AM

Actually, he/she is trying to say that if Clinton doesn't get the nomination, McCain IS his candidate. So no, he wouldn't be turning his country over if "his candidate" doesn't win.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 1:32:19 AM

Smart. Two Democrats and one Republican running, and you think Hillary will win the national election - when she can't even win the nomination of her own party (if that, in fact, turns out to be true). Think before you type; otherwise you sound stupid.

  • Posted By: loveroflife @ 02/26/2008 1:33:18 AM

I think Hillary should hang in there. If even one thing is true of all the things written of Obama, I do not want to see him running our country. I will NEVER forget his not honoring our American Flag by not saluting or covering his heart. I was brought up to respect the flag in every way. My dad fought in WWII for that flag and I dont think Obama showed good patriotism by ignoring the respect for our flag.

You ask Sen. Clinton to "defy the stereotype," a stereotype which men like you have tried for centuries to attach to women. You beseech her to make a "graceful exit," to be the "epitome of grace and class and party unity." Your words remind me why I decided to play basketball instead of cheering from the sidelines!
Certainly, Hillary Clinton could choose to "make a breathtaking act of political theater" but why should she emulate her opponent whose entire campaign consists of nothing more than mere political theater? You were right on one point: you are a member of the "pundit class that looked stupid in New Hampshire" and you will again look stupid in Texas and Ohio.

I think you should leave Hillary alon. I am 55 years old I am not rich nor am I poor. You are a man. I think you men are afraid that she will do a better job then a man. I am Native American, and you people have treated us as native with out respect. We are tried of be treated this way. We were here 1st. This is my 1st time voteing, and I would like to see a woman in the white house. And Mr. Obama and his wife cutting down what america stands for, really makes me mad. This picture I saw on the news. If this Obama is a muslum, I got a very bad feeling if he becomes president. I see wars among us. Thing like you have never seen before. This is what I belive. I belive alot in what Glen Beck says to. He makes alot of since.
    Thank You.

I think it time for another Clinton to be in office. The last time when Bill was in he brought us out of all the mess that Bush got us in. Then afterwards we got his son which screwed up all this country in the first place.

  • Posted By: True demacrate @ 02/26/2008 1:30:44 AM

I honestly believe that Mrs.Clinton should stay fast. I no very little about Senator Obama. What I do feel that Senator Obama lacks is knowlege of what the U.S. needs in a leter. He has only been in the Senent one year. He is to green. I just really like Senator Clinton. She has the pose and knowforall of the world problems and what people we can trust and which one to keep an eye on. This is just one pesons thoughts.

I feel so incredibly sorry for Hillary Clinton. She is being villified by a bunch of disgruntled white males who are dissatified with life and is determined in their efforts to spread this malcontent. We have a political process in this country for electing elective officials, let it run its course. Why are you trying to subvert the process? Are you so intimidated by this strong woman? At least you know what she is all about, can you say the same for Obama? He is getting a free ride and no one is really questioning him on the issues. If by chance he wins the election, we will all rue the day we took every promise he has made on face value. Please let up on the rhetoric and allow votors to make their own decisions. After all, many of our nation's finest men and women are dying for our right to do so. PLEASE stop the venomous reporting, it's not becoming!.. We should all be ashamed by CNN one-sided reporting, don't add to it. Give Hillary her chance to have a fair and impartial presidential race. As Americans, we will rally around the winnelr -- that's the American way....

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 1:29:05 AM

Is it only white males that vilify her, or do black males also vilify her in favor of Mr. Obama? Do females vilify her or do you maintain that she has strong support amongst all women? Actually, here's a better question: how did someone as stupid as you manage to obtain gainful employment such that you can afford a computer and internet access?

I have a renewed faith in the intelligence of the American people. I am proud that they can see that Hillary Clinton cares for nothing more than the power that comes from politics. While she professes her wish to have the government become the end all and be all for every one of us, her friends and supporters get rich. Her idea of government is to do it for us because we are too stupid to live our own lives. Her campaign has reflected her attitude towards our intelligence by changing to whatever her polls say we want to here. Her affected accents in the south to her super tough act in other places shows she will be whoever we want as long as we elect her. The problem becomes who are we going to get if she is elected. We will get a same old same old "experienced" Washington veteran who will get nothing done and nothing in this country will change. The gap will get wider between the haves and have nots, but, at least she would make us feel better about it by expanding the food stamp program.

I gather you don't "like" Hillary. Can you provide any specifics that go beyond the rhetoric?

  • Posted By: unracist latino @ 02/26/2008 1:28:27 AM

Obama keeps attacking Hillary. Hillary has tried to do many thing and has accomplished many of her goals. Obama has not done much for his own state of Illinois, maybe a great deal on his house. He has many times critizied her husband, his wife has not done any better with her words. The Clintons have stood the test of time side by side. Obamas wife will quit on him during the worst of times (I could be wrong, but she has said that she would not go through this again if Obama does not win). What impression does that give you. Why does she feel proud to be an American now that he is leading the polls, what would she have said if he wasn't? Why didn't Obama lend her his GREAT speech coach, he probably will now.
America! speeches are great but that does not mean that congress will agree. Who can persuade more, Hillary has proved herself many times. We all know that Bill Clinton has also done so.
This is a two for one election, and both of them are experienced, Obama is an experiment. One who most of the time never even decided to vote on many issues, but he yet he has claimed that he has voted against issues that have turned sour. He claimes that he will make good change for the country and that he has voted on good issues. The great deal that he struck on his house does not count. If he were to be chief executive, what kind of deals do you think he will make at a national level.
