    WORDS WORTH REPEATING...Posted By: notyomamma @ 02/25/2008 10:20:31 PM
Comment: I am sick of hearing about all the (?) experience Hillary has. If being a first lady counts, then why not Barbara Bush??? Being a senator appears to make them both even in that regard. His Illinois Legislature experience puts him ahead of Firstladyhood in any sense of reality I can manage. I think she is starting to get desperate.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 1:10:34 AM

Hmm. Interesting point. I never really thought about that, but what IS her experience? A few years in the Senate. Okay. Eight years as First Lady? Does that count as "experience"?

great article-hilary will be a statesman rather than a shrew if she bows out now with grace.

A 'shrew'? You've got real class lady!

Gee, if the media would just shut up, then maybe the person who is actually suppose to be President would be so, maybe gas prices would not be skyrocketing at an all time high (everytime they mention that it may go up it does the next morning, anyone else get that yet?) and maybe if they stopped reporting all the crimes they do and how to do them, then maybe our country would be in a little better shape. Just a thought. Also polls are just to sway the minds of those who cannot think for themselves.

This is clearly written by someone who just plain doesn't like Mrs. Clinton and hopes she gets embarrassed on March 4. I don't understand why she gets such bad publicity from the media. It is very obvious that they just don't like her. She is by no means out of the race. Why would she quit when she is ahead in polls in Ohio and very close in Texas? If the situation were reversed, no one would tell Obama to get out of the race. This is a ridiculous article and should be taken off website.

    • Posted By: ISawYourMommy @ 02/26/2008 1:07:05 AM

Alter has always been a fan of the Clinton's, so your comment is, in its first sentence, absurd. And if you don't understand why she gets so much abuse, you must not reading the articles in which she gets the abuse, as the articles usually say why they're abusing her.

    dkings123,
    You have NO idea what your even talking about do you. Its no wonder your a Clinton supporter. Well, here is a brief history lesson for you about Hillary and her "Great" husband;
Bill Clinton registers for the draft on September 08, 1964,
Bill Clinton ordered to report for induction on July 28, 1969.
Bill Clinton refuses to report and is not inducted into the military.
Clinton signs enlistment papers and takes oath of enlistment.
Bill Clinton fails to report to his duty station at the University of Arkansas ROTC, September 1969.
Bill Clinton reclassified 1-A on October 30, 1969, as enlistment with Army Reserves is revoked by Colonel E. Holmes and Clinton now AWOL and subject to arrest under Public Law 90-40 (2) (a) registrant who has failed to report...remain l iable for induction.
Bill Clinton's birth date lottery number is 311, drawn December 1, 1969, but anyone who has already been ordered to report for induction is INELIGIBLE!
Bill Clinton runs for Congress (1974), while a fugitive from justice under Public Law 90-40.
Bill Clinton runs for Arkansas Attorney General (1976), while a
    Fugitive from justce
Bill Clinton receives pardon on J anuary 21, 1977, from President Carter.
Bill Clinton becomes the FIRST PARDONED FEDERAL FELON ever to serve as President of the United States.
All these facts come from Freedom of Information requests, public laws, and various books that have been published, and have not been refuted by Clinton.
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S.
Military personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be huntd dwn and punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. Military personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U.S. Embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. Sailors, Clinton promised that those responsible be hunted down and punished.
Maybe if Clinton had kept those promises, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, DC. Who are now dead would be alive today.
THINK ABOUT IT! It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets $8
Million for her forthcoming memoir. Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be written. This from two people who spent 8 years being unable to recall anything about past events while under oath.
And lets not forget that while "Bill" was in office, Hillary was quoted as saying " I Loathe the Military". THIS is who YOU support to be YOUR next leader.

My only regret is ever being interested in what you have to say. I hope your remission does not last very long. We can only hope that your remission is temporary so we are not subject to your useless opinions.

When you are really sick, you are looking for a doctor with experience. Why people are seeking for experienced docutor? Why choose a president differ from that? Someone has devoted her life to impove the life of American people. From, governer's wife to president's wife to senitor. What more can be on the resume? I will cast my vote to someone long in public service. Either Hillary or McCain. If they come from Washington, they are come from the right place.

I suspect you are eight years old and will not be casting any vote for anyone.

    Dear Jon,
Don't take yourself so seriously. We all know that you just love Obama and if you could, get him into the white house without these annoying elections! And you have lots of company in that. But a few of us like our voices to be heard and we want arrogant writers like you to stay out of the 'anointing' business.I don't know who died and made you God.You don't need to worry about Hillary's future,if she does not take your advice. You may need to think about your own, my friend.Who needs to read vindictive vitriol?

Comment: In Texas we can see who the winner should be, we have had a great woman governor before, in fact two. What is happening here inTexas is UNFAIR to Hillary! Blacks are voting for Obama without knowing what he really stands for, they are discriminating and Republicans are using a smart stratagy.
This past Sunday in Dallas, TX we saw how blacks left their church in complete groups straight to the polls after services to vote for Obama.
This is complete discrimination against the whites!
Proof is when you ask them, "Why are you voting for Obama besides the fact that he is Black?" You will more likely get an answer like; "I like what he is promising," or "I believe he will bring change." or my favorite "He is saying what I want to hear." But if you ask them (blacks) to give you a more in depth precise reason or to name an acomplishment that Obama has done, you are more likely to be unanswered.
Younger people are also jumping on the Bandwagon after repeated comentaries from the media that Obama will win or because of other comments like "Hillary should quit now." (watch SNL for a hummerous but factual point about the media's support for Obama). Youngsters do not like to be affiliated with a losers and that is how the media keeps projecting Hillary. Hip-hop stars are also influencing the youngsters, and because the majority of Hip-hop artists are blacks, it's obvious who they are going to side with. Their lyrics say it all over and over again in many different ways and forms; whites are the enemy and keep everything black. For the Texas Republicans it's a no-brainer; McCain has the Republican nomination secure. Vote Democarat in the primaries for Obama and McCain will have an easy victory in the Presidential elections. All this makes it very hard for us Hillary supporters, we have to make twice the effort than the others.

Why do some mnay women feel that many men don't like Hilary because she is a so called "strong woman?" I don't want to vote for her because she seems mean spirited and I think would hurt this country as President. If Margaret Thatcher was in her prime and could run for president I would vote for her in a heart beat. She was an excellant prime minister and I think many men would to. Saying that most men wouldn't vote for her because she is a female is just a lame excuse.

In the famous words of my hero Yogi..."it's never over till it's over". I'm not a Democrat,, but she is clearly the better of the Clinton/Obama duo which, in itself, is a disgusting combo at best.. I'll venture that she'll bounce back in Texas, Ohio, and PA.

You're not much of an acolyte. The quote was, "It ain't over till it's over."

There is no reason to think that Hillary Clinton will be humiliated on March 4th. This is a close race and even if she does lose, it will not be anything near a humiliating loss. I find it amazing that the media is having such fun bashing around our potential future president. Hillary Clinton has done more in her lifetime to serve the American people than most and any dramatic attempt by the media to sway voters to write off Hillary Clinton without allowing the democratic process to move forward is the real disgrace.

  • Posted By: 4newsdog @ 02/26/2008 12:59:57 AM

Who in the world cares about what your opinion is about what Senator Clinton should do? I have always thought you were a jerk. My only regret is that you are in TEMPORALLY remission from your illness. I would much rather see your illness come back than to have Senator Clinton leave the race!

Sen. Clinton needs to stick it out and kick Obama's ass. I have spent my life waiting for a strong candidate to come forward. My great-grandmother was a pioneer to Oregon. The strongest woman I have ever known. I listened to her. She had hopes and dreams for her great granddaugthers and great grandson. Listen to what Sen. Clinton is saying not to what the press and opponents are saying. I am a divorced mother of three and grandmother of one, local government employee and a Veteran of OIF. It is time we look at who is qualified and not who is "looking good" with no real experience. Hillary Clinton is a person of poise and strength in her personal life and public life and in decision making. I have followed men into battle and helped to save men injured in battle. I don't want my children to follow me into that same battle, but I would go back if Sen. Clinton asked. There is not another person on earth I would say that about accept my great grandmother. She believed in family, duty, honor, and country. Sen. Clinton believes in this country and the people who live here. Believe in that. Vote for that.

Having read WOMAN IN CHARGE, I find Alter's suggestion that withdrawing gracefully would help bury the "image" of Hillary from the first years of her role in the West Wing and under attack from the Right . . . serving Hillary's future as a presidential candidate. Having read Alter's book on FDR's first 100 years, I would add that if Obama wins, he should read the FDR book closely to avoid the mystakes the Clintons made in their first weeks in office.

    Don't be bashful, flowers4girls, say what's on your mind...lol.

For some reason, all the media want Obama to be the pick. They slant headlines giving you the impression that Hillary got trounced in the latest primary, but as you read on you realize it's still a close race.

I guess they think McCain has a better cahnce against Obama. You know, that Liberal Press and all.
