Actually, on second or, may be, third thoughts.....we'll need to say thanks to you, Mr. Alter! Your ill-conceived article has probably stirred up all sane folks all over the country and, especially, Hillary's supporters who I really hope will go to the polls in Texas and Ohio with a vengeance to give her the much deserved wins!

I think Hillary is the cause of her own decline in support for a Democratic Candidate for President. Obviously a poor sport when it comes to losing. She's a definite my way or the Highway type canditate. We all have enough Government shoved down our throats. Less government involvement in our everyday personnal lives would be nice. I don't want a Dictator for President and Hillary fits the bill. I'm not impressed with any of the Canidates for President, they can't get anything approved with out the House and Senate, why all the false promises. A bunch of crap we all listen too, every 4 years. It would be nice if you didn't have to listen to it for a year and a half, everyday.

Mr. Alter, let me remind you of an old saying "that it ain't over until it's over!" How would you feel if your editor told you to submit your article before you were finished? I am a married mother of two teenagers in a small town in rural Illinois, so my thoughts aren't worldly or earth shaking. I speak the truth even if it hurts me and I think Hillary Clinton should stay in the race until the very end. I don't trust or like either Barack Obama or John McCain. Obama is too young and inexperienced to be president, and McCain is too old to be president. Neither men can give a simple speech or talk openinly without a teleprompter. I admired Hillary's poise and frankness at the last CNN debate. Obama was too busy playing politican andtaking notes to pay attention to Hillary's responses. If the candidates are McCain and Obama....hmmmmmmm...just who is the lesser of the two evils?

TEXAS, OHIO, Remember to VOTE/caucus for Senator Barack Obama.
Let's send Hillary home in March

    Obama, 2008

It is time for the press to just report the facts and stop all of the speculation and trying to tell us what you think we are thinking or how we are going to or not vote. Just report the facts and stop speculating and trying to forecast that too...

i'm for Hillary Clinton, she needs to campain about what would she do to make the economy better and make more jobs availble for a stonger economy to win. Hillary all the way.

  • Posted By: sweetgrier @ 02/26/2008 12:30:09 AM

I agree, I'm dogged tired of all the negativity. I think her campaign is very ironic. She should bow out gracefully.

As much as the Media is bias toward Barack Hussein Obama, they need to remember one thing...It's not over until the fat lady sings and hopefully, Oprah won't be singing.

Hillary should have NEVER entered the Presidential race. As far as my family is concerned she has already served 2 terms back when so called President Bill Clinton was President, but we all know who actually made the horrible decisions made those dreadful 8 years. See Bill was to concerned with the FEMALE INTERNS than the actual Presidential decisions needing to be made. Technically Hillary you can't run again. As far as Obama, well we would all be completely FRIGHTENED if he became President. If he does become The President of the United States of AMERICA everyone better RUN as fast as they can to another country to live in because the USA will change for the WORSE. We will no longer be a country of freedom. The BEST CANIDATE for The President of the United States is the one and only Condoleezza Rice. So if you are smart you will write in Rice's name on the November 2008 ballot.

Articles such as yours have done wonders for Mr. Obama's campaign......congratulations? As you so clearly illustrate, Mr. Obama has been "forgiven" by the news media time and time again for any/all misstatements while Ms Clinton's errors have been emphasized, scrutinized and amplifyed. WHY?? When did Mr. Obama
become the perfect candidate, the "savior" of our country, what superior credentials qualify him as someone
beyond reproach? After enduring 7 LONG years of Mr. Bush's tutelage, now, more than ever we, as a people need the media to be impartial and fair. Your biased reporting could potentially damage our country years to come.

lol gfkeph this country has already "gone to hell in a hand basket" thanks to bush... and as far as power hungry Clintons, i would rather have them in power to reduce our staggering worldwide debt, and fix the economy, then Obama, who has nothing really to offer but pretty speeches...

    • Posted By: Kariko @ 02/26/2008 12:29:49 AM

I absolutely agree with you! I always saw it that Bush was leading us all into strayed chaos and what more our own country is now falling to pieces besides a war going on in another country. We've lost the ability to take care of ourselves and in this President Election we need a newer president that is guaranteed in bringing us better change and aid to our country and needs. We require someone that can speak out their own opinions and ideas while not rely on others in that task for we chose them as our president ???not their secretaries.

It's pretty sad how the media attempts to brainwash the American public with such nonsense. When Obama was trailing behind her, it was too close to say. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, she should call it quits? I have a feeling all this bias is setting Hillary up for a major comeback on March 4th. Only one question... Will Alter eat this article when she does?

If you honestly can tell me that Obama is some secret undercover terrorist who is plotting to take down the United States, then you are the very "least intelligent, most arrogant and MORONIC person in the world" that you were talking about Obamamama1. The United States has some of the highest undercover security in the world. There is no way in hell that the secret service or the FBI would allow someone like that to command the highest political position in the "Free World". Hillary Clinton is nothing but power hungry, and everybody knows it. How many more times does she need to throw her thirst for power into the faces of her supporters and anti-supporters in order for people to get the picture. If Hillary wins the Dem. nomination, I'm voting Republican, and if she wins the presidency, I'm moving out of this country, because it will slip into a time period worse than ever seen in American history.

    • Posted By: Obamamama1 @ 02/25/2008 11:58:06 PM

Youth of the Nation-look at (recent) history: Bush is president, for 8 dreadful years, no? I, like MANY Americans, have our legitimate conspiracy-theories about 9/11 and the US governments' DIRECT involvement with that atrocity. You seem to have missed the fact that Bush and Bin laden had been bosom buddies YEARS before this incident. Your argument about America's anti-terrorism security is a PIPE DREAM. Glad you can sleep well at night believing this lie. You and the millions who believe as you do are the reason why the United States is in its current downward spiral. Voting Obama in as our next president will only take the united States to its lowest depth-the bottom of the barrel. Lest you forget it was HILLARY who was REALLY running this country while William held the title. The U.S. had never seen better times-at least not since the Kennedy administration, and we know what our beloved government did to him.

      • Posted By: koni0044 @ 02/26/2008 12:15:11 AM

If you really believe that the government is resposible for 911, then no matter who wins we are all F'd! So why would you even bother to vote. If your theories are true, we are all mindless and stupid puppets of the government who actually believe that WE decide the president. If they would attack our own country and kill our young at war, just to get what they want. Do u really think they would let us decide the president! NO! If u believe that crap then you should believe that this campaign is a sham and the next president has already been decided.

"If u believe that crap then you should believe that this campaign is a sham and the next president has already been decided"----couldn't have stated it any better. Thank you for the clarification for all to see.

Mr. Alter, who are you going to vote for? another George Bush? do us all a favor and resign your self, that way you will avoid any ambarasement after Clinton steps up. We are tired of politics who say and do not.

  • Posted By: hwarrior @ 02/26/2008 12:28:09 AM

Well i have read enough of the lie's here in this blog..there isallot of people that need help in understanding fact from fiction.. made up of this and of that.. Hillary is a nice lady who is tough and made strong. Obama is not gay and the person that said that prob is. they are both Dem. dont mess up the party. join together and win. that's what i think should be the democrate ticket. Obama-Clinton, they will clean it up, and get this country on the RIGHT TRACK>>TOGETHER or both could loose.

How can anyone possibly support Obama who refuses to Pledge Alleigance to the United States of America and its flag--surely a president cannot support the best interests of the American people if he cannot find it in himself to show respect to our flag; thus our country! 2/25/08 by a concerned American Citizen who currrently loves the flag and all it stands for and daily Pledges Alleigance to it. in a classroom.

    • Posted By: Tonyac704 @ 02/26/2008 12:27:05 AM

iIdont pledge alligance to a flag that only waves on a few!!! Thats the issue. I get what he says.

  • Posted By: Pleeeeeese! @ 02/26/2008 12:27:03 AM

Seriously, if Obama truly wants what is best for America, like he says he does, then why would he even be running for this with absolutely NO EXPERIENCE?!?!?
He is a narccicst feed his own ego instead of truly wanting what is BEST for America. That you would even write such bullshi* shows the how shallow and empty your brain and soul is.
GET OVER YOURSELF! Why don't you write an article about Obama, who is he? No one knows, what's his record? Why has he not come forth to clear the air on who he is? All I hear is him stating what he thinks is wrong with America, what is wrong with this administration and what needs to change, but what is his plan to fix it? He has no plan, he lets HILLARY tell her plan and he nods and agrees and says one more idea to add to HER PLAN. This guy is a joke and people that are voting for him are stupid, ignorant and will believe ANYTHING as long as it is handed to them in the form of a song and dance. You are no different Mr. Jonathan Alter.

I'm disappointed in Opra to present Hillary to the world as a good candidate for presidency, than behind her back she sneaks Obama with support, that I hear what a time to mess up a woman candidate for Presidency, than sneak in Obama! This was a good time for a first time woman presidency in office, only to be force to conplete again a black man, when they both could have been in office as Democrat Presidents in office for the next 16 years!! But I blame Opra, and Michael Moore too. Michael Moore gets paid mega bucks by people who want the people to vote by his suggestions! Sicko was good, but when he said Hillary is a good friend, he stabbed her!!
