Mr. Alter, who are you going to vote for? another George Bush?

Wow ladeegee2001, throwing out inflamatory remarks without one shed of truth behind them will really make yur point. Way to go.

In my opinion, the main pont of this article isn't about the politics, but math and the expected outcomes of future polls. The key is, if people really care about thier candidate, they have to get out and support. But please do so using common sense, truth, and issues instead of random bashing with whatever we hate at the moment.

HECK no!!! Hillary should NOT GET OUT. Stay IN til they FORCE you out Hillary. You're a fighter, and you WOULD fight for AMERICA. Dont ever listen to ALTAR tell you to get out... The silliest thing going on in this election so far is WHITE AMERICA trying to prove they arent PREJUDICED by telling ALL their neighbors theyre voting for Obama. White America is soooo politically correct. Thats why they live in BLACK neighborhoods, yes????? ^5 Hillary and crew. Youre doing a fine job.

wow! how original, a white upper class male who is anti-hillary. you also have no respect for the democratic process thinking because you support obama, none of the states that haven't voted yet matter. and i don't get it; are you even for obama, or did your editor just tell you to write an anti-hillary peice? in two sentences you call him vain about how good his speeches are, even though he plagarizes them- and then you point out that he loses actual debates when he is forced to speak on key issues. i just watched two more speeches on c-span- one of hillary and one of obama and there was a stark difference. hillary outlined her plans for how she would approach fixing our numerous national and international problems, while obama repeated the same speech he's been stumping all along- telling the very emotional, personal stories of people he has met on the campaign trail and then rousing the crowd into a 'we need change' frenzy so that they forget he has not told them how he plans to bring about his grand plans, whatever the are. obama is likely a good person, he is smart and well-spoken. but not the most qualified candidate. he should focus on fullfilling his promises to illinois first. he will be unprepared for you- the media who presumes to know what the "voice of the people" is, when you quickly turn against him if he does win the primary and start dishing the dirt whether or not it is true. fortunately hrc is well acquainted with how you operate- and that is why she avoids the press like the plague and is therefore not favored at that moment by your high school popularity contest. good for you newsweek! by the way, you may be too young to remember who texans voted as their governor before bush. a white woman. so let's just wait and see shall we?

We live in a great nation that allows each of us to state our opinions and I am truly thankful for that. However, some of the comments left here are shameful and the people posting them should be embarassed. To state that hip-hop artists are black and this is who is influencing the young American vote is pathetic. To state that blacks are the ones voting for Obama and they don't even know why. I hope you do realize that blacks are not the majority in this country. Most of the statement made by "unracist latino" screams racism or at least ignorance. If you truly look at the high profile endorsements that Obama has been receiving you should note that the majority of them are from wealthy white celebrities! Also, alot of women who backed Clinton are now backing Obama and even more surprising are Republicans who have jumped on board. I am a young, mixed race female and I am a democrat first and foremost and this election should not be driving our party apart. The last eight years has been bad enough with President Bush, must we start fighting against each other. We have to fight together, united to beat John McCain. I am currently undecided because both Obama and Clinton have great ideas to better this nation. However, if Hiliary's chances start to slip anymore, then I agree with this article that she must bow out and unite this party so that we can take on the real enemy.

Wow, if these messages are any indication, then Hillary supporters are just as hateful, racist, homophobic and just miserable. Not a good look at all. If this is how your leader inspires, by all means GET OUT NOW HILLARY!! ENOUGH WITH THE HATE!!!!! What a gross display.....I am glad she is losing.

Your article is dirty Mr. Alter. You are traying to confuse people in order Obama win.

Comment: What a sad state of affairs. We are the laughing stock of the world regarding our sorry method of spending billions to fill a job that pays half a mill. A lot of perks though , right Clintons? So I guess it isn't all bad. $40,000,000 for speaking and being buddies with the corporate giants and a book or two and fat city! Hillary, give us a break. Take Bill, your money, and run.

I am the 'experience' one is so in the past. The people are looking for changes to turn the country around. The old experience of the past brought Iraq nightmare, failed trade policy, and lost jobs for millions of Americans.

Hillary failed to listen to the people of America. Instead, she campaigns with arrogant and self ego.

  • Posted By: runrshorty @ 02/26/2008 12:19:54 AM

I don't think Hillary Clinton is going to give up that easily.

  • Posted By: dbbtjmmc @ 02/26/2008 12:19:05 AM

Please stop trying to get Hilary to drop out BEFORE Texans, Ohioan(?), and Pennsylvanians get their chance to vote!! Why don't we get our chance to make our vote heard? Why should it be finished now before the process has a chance to play itself out, the way it was designed to do? Come on give the rest of the states a break and let us vote!

The I am the 'experience' one is so in the past. People look for change. You don't need old experience to bring about change. Her speech about her experience is what defeated her at the poll.

The experience of the past brought us Iraq nightmare, failed trade policy, and lost of jobs for millions of Americans.

Hillary needs to quit using the word 'experience' if she wants to win. But it's already to late for her!

    • Posted By: Rolo @ 02/26/2008 12:18:37 AM

lol experience brought us the Iraq debacle? lmao no what brought us that and the crap this country is going thru now is a pretentious prat, who came to office wanting to be King Dingaling. and trying to succeed where his father and Clinton had sense enough to leave alone...

In Texas we can see who the winner should be, we have had a great woman governor before, in fact two. What is happening here inTexas is UNFAIR to Hillary! Blacks are voting for Obama without knowing what he really stands for, they are discriminating and Republicans are using a smart stratagy.
This past Sunday in Dallas, TX we saw how blacks left their church in complete groups straight to the polls after services to vote for Obama.
This is complete discrimination against the whites!
Proof is when you ask them, "Why are you voting for Obama besides the fact that he is Black?" You will more likely get an answer like; "I like what he is promising," or "I believe he will bring change." or my favorite "He is saying what I want to hear." But if you ask them (blacks) to give you a more in depth precise reason or to name an acomplishment that Obama has done, you are more likely to be unanswered.
Younger people are also jumping on the Bandwagon after repeated comentaries from the media that Obama will win or because of other comments like "Hillary should quit now." (watch SNL for a hummerous but factual point about the media's support for Obama). Youngsters do not like to be affiliated with a losers and that is how the media keeps projecting Hillary. Hip-hop stars are also influencing the youngsters, and because the majority of Hip-hop artists are blacks, it's obvious who they are going to side with. Their lyrics say it all over and over again in many different ways and forms; whites are the enemy and keep everything black. For the Texas Republicans it's a no-brainer; McCain has the Republican nomination secure. Vote Democarat in the primaries for Obama and McCain will have an easy victory in the Presidential elections. All this makes it very hard for us Hillary supporters, we have to make twice the effort than the others.

I am a Clinton supporter, black and woman, do you think my voting for Sen. Clinton is sexist? I hate when people generalize - so stop it. Your handle is "unracist latino", my dear that's an oxymoron. Where were you went whites didn't vote for Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton? Did you suggest that they were racist? What about women voting for Sen. Clinton, why not label that sexist? You see where I am getting at? There is just too much ignorance in this country and all sides are exhibiting this.

I'm from Texas and I'm voting for Hillary all the way!!! I hope that this race has a good ending, but we won't know until the date. At this point I think anything can turn a voter one way or the other so in my opinion the suspense is still on.

  • Posted By: Jules000 @ 02/26/2008 12:17:13 AM

This is the most ridiculous example of media bias I have yet to read. Didn't see any articles telling Obama to quit when he was trailing her by a small margin. If he is so sure to win, why is the Obama campaign still playing offensive politics? That's okay, we'll see on March 4th.

PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK....IS THERE ANYTHING MORE THAT THE MEDIA WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE IN REFERENCE TO ONE OF THE MOST RESPECTED POLITICAL FEMALE FIGURES OF OUR TIME....THE MEDIA'S COVERAGE ON HILLARY CLINTON HAS BEEN SO "MALE CHAUVANISTIC" IT IS REALLY DISGUSTING TO SAY THE LEAST....WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE THESE "GREAT MEN" AND SO CALLED JOURNALISTS AFRAID OF? MY GOODNESS LOOK AT THE MESS WE ARE IN TODAY AND NOT BECAUSE WE HAD FEMALE LEADERS FOR SURE.....GET REAL OUT THERE.....IT WOULD DO THIS COUNTRY GOOD TO FINALLY HAVE SOMEONE WITH COMMON SENSE AND NOT MALE EGO DRIVEN TO PERFORM THEIR DUTY.....SO MANY SUCCESSFUL EUROPEAN COUNTRIES HAVE HAD HEADS OF STATE HELD BY A WOMAN.......AMERICA WILL GET JUST WHAT IT DESERVES.....SO SAD!

    • Posted By: Kiten @ 02/26/2008 12:17:12 AM

Very sorry to disagree. But I do not think MS. H is as highly respected as you may think. I certainly have no respect for her or her husband. I realize I don't count but I am sure somewhere out there, there are people who do count, that do not respect her, politically or otherwise.
