Last I checked, two wins and Hillary is viable again in this race. The 'tide' I see this author referring to is more in the media than what I see on the streets (SF Bay Area streets to be specific). The majority of people voting Clinton seem to be less extroverted in that support than, say, Obama-Girl. What I am seeing are journalists who are more persuaded by charm than substance and grit. I see the same flaky folks dictating the national discussion through their articles that jumped on the Iraq=patriotism bandwagon years. I do not question Obama as a legitimate candidate, simply the ability of the average human being (or journalist) to step back and ask 'how much of my opinion is based on what he's saying vs. how he's saying it?' Or my favorite litmus test: who would you want to have your back in a bar fight? Frankly, I'd take Hillary.

Hilliary, don't you dare back out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need experience in the white house as far as in debt it is in. You and Bill have had so much experience and that is what we are going to need. Everyone please wake up and smell the roses. Praying night & day for a bunch of people to wake up. It is not too late and no, Hilliary needs not to drop out. She is too much of a fighter than to see what the election actually is going to turn out. Thanks for everyone commenting on this article. I feel that it is worth everyones time if they read all of these comments. Thanks for this opportunity to speak out!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sick of hearing about all the (?) experience Hillary has. If being a first lady counts, then why not Barbara Bush??? Being a senator appears to make them both even in that regard. His Illinois Legislature experience puts him ahead of Firstladyhood in any sense of reality I can manage. I think she is starting to get desperate.

If HIllary drops out, I'm voting Republican. No way I'd vote for Obama. I'm not stupid.

    • Posted By: cynangwn2 @ 02/25/2008 10:20:30 PM

Hillary can't even keep her cool, yeah you should switch parties. The Democrats I know have poise.

I'm with you on that one.

I agree that it's time for Hillary to drop out of the political race. It's business as usual in the Clinton campaign with her theory of "say or do anything" to win strategy. If she were to win the nomination how different do you think this country would be than her campaign. She'd cause us to go into even deeper debt and her pockets don't have enough cash to bail us out. Not only does she need to drop out of the race immediately, but politics all together.

if our lord and savior mr obama were behind by a hundred delegates, you'd all be screaming RACIST PIG at anyone who would DARE to suggest little lord fauntleroy should step aside for Hillary, for the GOOD of the party. IT'S CALLED A CONTEST BECAUSE IT HAS A FINISH LINE. 2,025 DELEGATES. HE AIN'T EVEN CLOSE YET. so gets your panties out of a knot, you and mr. jonny, and relax. let the game continue.

      • Posted By: franwells @ 02/25/2008 10:20:30 PM

Enter Your Commen Amen! Step aside for the good of the party when the DNC, Donna Brazil, with the help of the SC Rep. James Clyburn orchestrated this primary schedule, tailor-made-for-Obama? I don't think so you, morons. Whoever it was that suggested Hillary's supporters would be willing to vote for Obama interchangeably with Hillary is insane. I would not vote for Obama if he was the last man standing. As a life-long democrat who has never voted republican, I will do that before I will vote and support these college students who registered at the door on primary day to put this cult leader over the top. Or was it the young professional demographic - the Star Bucks projac generation - Oh, I guess it was both. Your parents wasted their money on your college education. You are apparently educated fools.

To all the folks who say Bill had no experience when he ran...Well in 1992 the world was a better and a lot more peaceful than today.. As time went by with our prosperity we became the envy of the whole world...When Bill left office we got conned by GWB and see where we are today..Obama is in no position to lead this country now...We are a super power and cannot afford to train anyone on the job..Also its time for our country to move forward and Elect a Hillary as our president..its a total damn myth if we think she is not prepared to lead..Other nations have had women leaders and we will be too stupid and narrow minded if she is not elected...To all the Clinton haters please don`t be cheap and trash them..This kind of behaviour clearly indicates how petty minded and shallow you folks can be...For over 200+ yrs men have run this country so its about damn time we allowed Hillary to clean up this flipping mess thatwe are in..Go Hillary don`t give into the Cowards....DG

I hope that someday you will actually wake up. Are you totally ignorant or just flat out dumb. If you think this country has been ran so bad by the men, then why don't you move somewhere else. This country was founded by men, not just men, but great men. And by the way, I wll comment how I like, so far this country still believes in free speech, note I said so far, If Hilary is elected, God only knows what will happen to us then, certainly nothing good.

I'd say that Obama paid you off (or smeone in his group) for your article Mr. Alter. I thought that those who wrote articles such as yours were supposed to be unbiased. We are but lemmings at your mercy. (not)

  • Posted By: franksarno @ 02/25/2008 10:19:42 PM

I think that Alter should get out before Clinton wins and he wnd up with ass' ears. How could one be so biased. He fully represent Media obsession with an inexperienced chap like Obama.

  • Posted By: lillyliberty @ 02/25/2008 10:04:46 PM

Calling all AMERICANS: don't want to be an OBAMANATION? Donate to Hillary. Sick of the media telling us who they want? Donate to Hillary. Sick of the Obama cult telling us we are racists for doubting the savior? Donate to Hillary.
Keep insulting us Obamaholics and soon we'll embrace a mere human: McCain!!!

    • Posted By: soulflower69 @ 02/25/2008 10:19:28 PM

WOW..all of Clinton's supporters are cry babies it seems. You lose against a fellow democrat and you vote republican? hee,hee,hee..There is no way she will win, and to think she thought she would WIPE obama out on Super Tuesday and not even REQUEST full delegates in PA, shows how she thought her last name would do it for her, and how MUCH she under-estimated how GREAT OBAMA is!

Hillary Clinton should exit. Maybe try to make some great changes in NY, first then run again if the record proves it. Or just leave office all together. She's always waiting for other people to start something and then hop on if the polls say its good. I remember watching 911 on cnn. She didn't say anything just walked behind the mayor and gov. I would like to see her take charge in the state. Lead new ideas, plans, and programs to help all people in NY.

    • Posted By: realitycheck04 @ 02/25/2008 10:19:26 PM

there was a reason she stayed in the background, in politics you have to pay your dues like anywhere else, she was still pretty new in her role and it would have been seen as upstaging if she forged ahead on 9/11. She is more than qualified and admired and respected by many around the world- we need that right now.

I normaly lean toward republican myself when I vote, but I always vote for who I think is best for the position. The only time I ever voted for any other reason is when I voted this time for the canidate in Georgia's Super Tuesday election. I too voted for Oboma because I didn't want Hillary to have a chance to destroy this nation. If she reads this I know her jaw will tighten like it always does when Oboma hits her where it hurts like in the debates. I'm not against Oboma nor McCain but I tend to lean more toward Oboma for several reasons. I'm greatful for what McCain has done for this country but I'm afraid he just doesn't have totally what this country needs right now. Out of the 2 I think Oboma may be our best choice.. Either would be better the Hillary ANYDAY!!!

I still believe, and I believe she will make it. Why are people following him around like a pied piper. What has he ever donr and how come he never really says what he has planned. He is a big eared joke.its like he is doing this on a dare. When its over he can say I was right you people will believe anyone as long as they tell you what you want to hear. I know why now I but Time it is a much better magizine.
