    How angry are you people? I didn't like Hillary when Bill was in the White House and I don't like her now. When has Obama been a hypocrite? When has he lied? So what if he doesn't have much experience in politics; it hasn't done much for us in the past. Aren't you doing the same thing to Obama that you are accusing others of doing to Hillary? Where do you get your facts about Obama, the media?

        Obama lied when he said he was born after his folks hooked up after Selma.Obama was born in 1961.
        Uh Selma was four years later.

        Who was it that defined neurosis as repeating the same mistake again and again, and expecting a better outcome each time? That is really what the Clinton campaign is doing in its post-Chesapeake primary strategy. Now Hillary defines Obama as the candidate who makes speeches, while she is the one who provides answers and solutions.

        Why is Hillary embracing this new line? Its not that she has any great record of solutions or answers of which to boast, but rather that she wants to highlight Obama's lack of a legislative record. Once again, she and her campaign geniuses are making the same mistake they made when they decided to use the experience as their defining difference with Obama. Its not that she had much, but they sensed an opportunity to highlight that he had even less.
        Of course experience not only didn't work. It backfired massively. By co-opting the experience tag, Hillary bought into the status quo and left Obama to be the agent of change. A candidacy that could have excited tens of millions of women, the first serious prospect of a female president, became merely a boring part of the status quo, shorn of its novelty.

        Hillary's claim to be the solution-person won't work either for the same simple reason: She hasn't passed any...she hasn't walked the walk so now she cannot talk the talk.

        As a first lady, Hillary's sole important legislative involvement came during the first two years of her husband's presidency when she sought to pass her ill-conceived health care reform, an effort that failed so miserably that it cost her party control of the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. Between 1995 to 1997, she was largely absent from the White House, traveling the world, promoting her best selling book and helping to raise funds. She never attended strategy meetings and her only intervention in the singular legislative achievements of Bill's administration welfare reform and the balanced budget deal was privately to urge a veto of the former and to oppose the latter because it provided for a cut in the capital gains tax. Hillary returned to the White House in 1998 to oversee the defense to the Lewinsky scandal and the impeachment attempt, but the Clinton administration essentially folded its legislative efforts during those years and hung on for dear life. No portfolio of accomplishments there...

        Her only actual legislation included one bill to increase nurse recruitment, another to aid respite time for Alzheimer's care givers and another to expand veteran's health benefits, a paltry output for six years service.

        In her second term, she has spent full-time campaigning for president and has the worst attendance record of the three senators now still in the presidential race.

    For all the Hillary Clinton supporters - PLEASE go to her website and donate to her campaign. I agree with so many of you about this article, but the real action is to support her campaign and give her the ability to compete and defeat!!!!

    Hillary is too hot headed and easily put on the defensive. She does not carry herself with the poise, a Commander in Chief on a great nation must have. There is still great work for her hands, in the Senate.

    I really hope Hillary does not drop out, I think if Florida & Michigan were able to be part of this it would change a lot. If Obama is the candidate chosen then John McCain will become president. To many independents don't like him and just to keep him out they will vote the other way. What a shame to lose the possibility of having the Democrats in the house again.

    I've glanced through the comments and is anyone paying attention to what is truly going on in this country. I was torn between Obama and Hillary until Hillary started so much mud-slinging. Hillary has just gotten low down and dirty. The American public is not that stupid. Obama is the better candidate regardless of race. It's a shame they couldn't run together, they would make a great team. We just want Bush and his colleagues out of office. Whomever gets in office has a helluva mess to clean up and it's going to take more than 4 years.

You go to any blog of any kind and they all say the same thing...just what Hillary has been saying....only since Iowa have we all been saying it! This "mud slinging" is the truth that needs to come out! We didn't get the memo about Obama being treated with kid gloves. What he is not open for inspection like Hillary has been? YOu can be so postive and non negative that being only postive becomes untruth in and of it self!

    I am a Texas Republican and I will vote in the Texas Democrat prinmary for the sole intention of voting AGAINST Hillary. This woman is the most DANGEROUS woman on the face of this planet, an American Taliban. The ONLY thing that matters to this woman is POwer and the accumulation of power. She is nothing more that a political whore that would sacrifice any value, moral, virtue, bit of character or integrity for political expediency. She is no different between her and some prostitute selling herself for $25.00. Actually, there is a difference, at least the prostitute is being honest about what she is.

      I agree with you and I have done everything I can to makes sure people remeber what she has already sold from this country in the first 8 years in office. I think it is sick that most American don't want to do the reallly research themselfs. Most of the do not get we are in the fight of our lives we either live or die base on who gets in. I for one want to see justice for everything she has already done. I ask that the Justice department step in and do an investigation for Treason. SHe sold us out. She sold out our nuclear missle program, destory our relationship with many eroupean nations and sold out our star wars program for a piece of power and money about 100 million dollars. enough is enough

    It is ridiculous for her to withdraw now. This primary election is way too important in this race to quit before it actually happens. Although difficult, it is not impossible for her to win. I will back her until the end as a Hispanic and and healthcare provider. It is time the media stop being biased against her.

    You are absolutely nuts! Obama has not demonstrated that he can win one large state without special circumstances - he's from there or it is a caucus state. Mr. Alter, is this the first time you have ever done electoral vote counting? If your absurd idea is to preserve "party unity", forget it! It will never happen. I will never vote for Obama after a life of democratic party activism. As a woman who worked very hard in the 70's & 80's to help find women to run for public office and then get them elected, everything I've worked for is going up in smoke and I could care less about what happens after that. We still have a very good chance if people like you would keep their mouth shut about things of this nature. Who the hell do you think is willing to give up on their candidate at this point! What about asking this untested, unexamined excuse for a candidate to drop out. You have no idea the level of anger that is out here. Whatever would make you think Hillary Clinton's supporters could lamely go to Obama's side. Instead, throwing granades in the streets come to mind. Go to hell!

      You go girl.....I too will NEVER vote for Obama. I also have been an active Democrat for many years, and I am appalled at what the media has been doing to Clinton. If she doesn't get the nomination I will drop out of the Democratic party, especially in light of what my party did to silence the voices of Florida & Michigan. How dare they supress votes, especially Florida!!!! We in Florida won't forget so easily!!!! Obama markets himself as a new kind of candidate, but plays dirtier than most behind the scene. Wake up..... And Alter, do your job and report some of the information people need to know about Obama. Why don't you write about his 16 year association with Rezco. there's plenty of info about this that no one seems to want to report. the people need to hear what a sleaze this Obama really is.

    Clinton shouldn't quit. Anything is possible, but her attacks on Obama are working against her. The public sees her as a negative person looking to blame others for her failures, such as firing her campaign manager. She has done nothing but attack Obama which is really playing right into the hands of the republicans. She should be attacking McCain instead on his Bush and Iraq war policies. I'm pretty sure I will not be voting for Hillary. She has been trying to get Obama to slip up and bait him into a bunch issues from Race, religion, and speeches he makes. Many of her speeches are taken right from her husband's campaign. This makes her a hipocrit in my book and she cannot be trusted. She should ride it out and prove she is a fighter, but I don't the public really cares for her. It's one thing not to vote for a candidate. Some of the comments I heard about Hillary have such messages of hate for some reason. I don't hate her, but some of the things I heard are just horrific. I think it would be really nice to have a woman president for the first time in our nation's history, but I don't think Hillary is the one.

    What I don't understand is how the OBAMA MARKETING MACHINE came up with the psuedo-fact that more college-educated people are choosing him (in the polls) when the guy's only claim to foreign policy experience is that he spent four years in Indonesia as a child because that's where his step-father is from. HUH????

    His natural father was a Kenyan. We think. He was killed in a car accident so we have to take a lot of people's word for that.

    The Republicans are begging for Clinton to get the nomination. For those of you say that Obama can't carry a Red State. Respondents in Texas were asked who they would vote for in a General Election.: Guess who finished LAST folks? One Hint: It wasn't Obama.

    Hillary will be ready on day one but not as president. Too much baggage, too polarizing , and little or no carisma is too much to overcome.
