I am very happy to see that Hillary might exit. I also think Obama should exit to. Both canidate are bad news for America. Both canidates are in this for the power and neither wants to help our country. Hillary during her first 8 years sold out our military to China, created North Korea as a nuclear power and let the world in on all of our work on our nuclear weapons program. Anyone else would have gone to Jail for treason. Obama name is close to the spelling of norstudramus prediction of the Anti-Christ Mabas. Due the math people. He is molsem, he is a great speaker and poeple follow him because of how he speaks. I feel that our country is in trouble with either one of these people. We do have the ability to change the Destainy not only of our country but of the world if we choose someone other than these two. The question is will we take the power and change history or will we be Nazi Germany all over again. People need to think. People need to research, because one canidate all ready sold us out over 15 years ago and one will sell us out in the next 3 years. Who do we choose a republican or an indepedent. Make the choice for a safe america. Do it for your kids at the very least instead of your ears and who sounds better today.

dawnburt1998 you are an idiot. I suggest you read this publication or e-zine for background information on both canidates. Oh, BTW Barack Obama is a Christian and futhermore to suggest that simply because his name (to you) is similar to "Marak" is simply assinine. Let me guess the link between IraQ and Al Qaida is the letter Q right?

Hillary is too hot headed and easily put on the defensive.... She doesn't carry herslf with the poise a Commander in Chief of a Great Nation should. There is still great work for her hands, in the Senate.

Great article. I must say, I'm glad that Hilldog won't listen to the advice, cause I don't want to see another Clinton in any election again. The fact that I'd rather vote for a war hawk than slick willie II is especially sad, and not a decision I want to ever realize. In fifteen years she'll be a trivia question.

I am in complete agreement.. In as much as always liked Mrs. Clinton, this time around she should get out gracefully to avoid further embarssment. Ranting about Obams's speeches is unbecoming of her. She should realize that she is not dealing with Rick Lazio in the 2000 New York election running for the U.Sl
Senate. Lazio was a weak and unpopular opponent from suffolk County Long Island, who had no chance of winning. Running against a smart , popular and strong opponent like Barack Obama in a national election is a different story. Besides, she stubbornly refused to admit that her vote in the Senate for the war against Iraq was a mistake. She was much too confident with the backing of her husband and expresident Bill Clinton. whom I think did not do a good job campaigning on her behalf. She would probably would have done better without him.

I think we might as well swear Obama in right now. The senator from Arizona hasn't git a chance either.

One thing is after the primaries in Ohio and Texas and another is saying that she should quit now... Gimme a break! Difficult it is but impossible is not.

I certainly agree with your outlook of Mrs. Clinton. Listen people, her views for our future are absolutely ridiculous, folks "Socialism" is comunism, and that ain't never going to work in this country. If this lady is elected, I will move to another one.

For those of you who are so angrily, vehemently opposed to Senator Obama, why are you so opposed? For those of us who support Senator Obama, why don't you ask us, without anger and hostility, why we support him. And I would also encourage you to take a look at the heterogenous make up of his supporters. As the 80 year old white grandmother (my mother) why she supports him. Her answers may surprise you.

because he is not ready to be President and we see him as dangerous! Also since his wins his unbecoming smart alic attitude is sad to see. In the debates his own words he scare us greatly! His possible huge blunders with nations in foreign relations. His fumbling the ball on health care when finally after 50 years we have the special interest beat. His traveling celestial rocky horror road show is scary. His cult like p-bots are scary. His cult like instruction for his supporters on how to campaingn and avoid talking issues and only happy kool aid messages

    I HAVE TO DISAGREE...

  • Posted By: Dolly49 @ 02/25/2008 9:53:42 PM

OBAMA is from a foreign country and I don't feel he should be president. I am afraid of him.

    • Posted By: tcipriani @ 02/25/2008 10:01:49 PM

He is from Hawaii. Born American if not fully bred. To be President (or a canidate) one has to be an American citizen by birth.

Hillary is beat and probably will drop out after the March 4th primaries. It would be the best thing for the democratic party. They say Obama hasn't the experience to be president, Bush had much more experience before he became president, look where he's got our country. He started with a surplus of money and has now got us so far in debt our children's children will be paying to get us ahead again. Hillary Clinton, when first lady, was crying out for universal health care, now she takes more money from HMO's than any other politician. She praised NAFTA when her husband signed the agreement, now she's against it. We need consistency and I believe Barrack Obama has proven his stand on those issues without flip-flopping. I believe Obama will be the best president this country has ever had. He'll put the American people first, then work with the other nations of the world.

One thing I want to know form Obama is HOW. He never really explains HOW. How is he going to bring everyone together? How is he going to change the direction of America? I know Clinton is going to fight, and she definately is fighter, as we can see. But Obama never explains how Republicans and Democrats and everyone in the world, including our "enemies" are going to come together and hold hands. She is right. They are pretty words without substance. I think America is smart and will realize that. STAY IN THE RACE HILLARY! IT'S FAR FROM OVER!

Quote from another poster: "For those of you who are so angrily, vehemently opposed to Senator Obama, why are you so opposed? "

What I am opposed to is having the media shove his candidacy down my throat like this. Not one negative thing has been published about Obama. That in and of itself is impossible to be true. No one over the age of 10 is without flaws.

Obama has not been scrutinized or shown in any kind of negative light. The media is portraying him as a savior.

That smacks of cultism and Jim Jones-ism. It's not real.

George W. Bush deceived millions of trusting, faithful GOOD people by making false promises to Christian Conservatives. Those people got DUPED big time. They are hurting badly -- as they should be. They got cheated and deceived because they believed his false words.

Obama is making a lot of promises and has no track record to back up those promises. People who are supporting him are overwhelmingly talking about how they are basing their decision on a "feeling" or how Obama makes them "feel hopeful".

That is NOT a FRICKIN REASON to put a person into the highest political office of our country. I was not one of the Christian Conservatives who helped elect GW Bush but I feel deep sadness for the people who got duped by Bush's false words.

I will not allow myself to be DUPED by the OBAMA MARKETING MACHINE. I see clear through it. I am educated about how commercials and marketing campaigns use a variety of techniques to appeal to people's emotions to get them to buy things -- things that don't match the reality of the product being purchased.

All of us can think of things that we have bought at one time or another that looked good on the commercial and came in a pretty box -- but when we opened the thing up and started actually saw the product, it wasn't anything like it was advertised to be.

This is what is happening with the OBAMA MARKETING MACHINE.

What I CAN'T figure out yet, because I am no longer a member of the press so I don't have access to ALL of the possible research or interviews, is why in the HECK Obama hasn't been and ISN'T being scrutinized the way the rest of the candidates have been scrutinized.

The only thing I can advise is to go back to the basics and hope and pray that somebody, somewhere in some media SOMEWHERE will "follow the money" -- because that is where the answer always lies.

A million dollars a day in donations to Obama? Somebody, somewhere -- with MONEY and POWER -- doesn't want Clinton or McCain to be president.

I just don't look forward to the day when we all wake up -- with Obama as president -- and find out AFTERWARDS, when there is nothing we can do about it -- who those PEOPLE WITH MONEY are and what they are going to do to all of us once Obama is the president.

I'm getting so sick of hearing that all of our problems are because of George W. Bush. People should think for themselves, both in this election and in analyzing the condition of America. George W. Bush is not the only person who is making decisions about this country. Did you forget that the Democrats have the majority in the Senate? Don't they need to share a BIG PART of the blame for our problems? As far as the war in Iraq goes, my son is in the Air Force and I totally support our troops. Watch a video of one of the extremist muslims beheading someone and then talk to me about waterboarding. Give me a break. If we don't stand up for ourselves, no one else in this world is going to. Our own media sells us out and makes America sound like the worst country in the world. I'm proud to be an American. We're not perfect, but if you don't like it here, move to Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Russia.....

I find it fascinating how all the political, self-righteous morons are so quick to attack any semblance of reason. I applaud your honesty, Mr. Alter, regardless of your position and opinion. I am an Independent and I am quite distressed and disturbed that of the four viable candidates we may have to choose from, eventually only one from each party, none appears truly qualified to hold the highest office of authority in our great country. None have managed any government branches at ANY level yet each pretends to be able to manage the corrupt, partisan and self-serving political machine that owns Washington. None is more entrenched in the corruption, favoratism and self-absorption than Sen. Clinton, and it appears voters are seeing through her thin veil of disengenuous human feelings. At least Bill had the courtesy and respect to look us in the face and smile while he pretended to care and paid more attention to his own needs than ours. Quite a sad situation but thank goodness for the foresight of our founders in anticipating what our government would degenerate to when qualified candidates get too comfortable in their wealth and power to step forward.

Looking at her facial expressions during debates, it only shows one thing: She is frustrated, angry and cannot compose herself very well. This is not we want in a US president. A woman might do a better job in white house but she's defnitely not the one.
She should exit and work with Obama especially now that the destroyer Nader has joined the forum.

  • Posted By: angelsaglow @ 02/25/2008 10:00:05 PM

No, Hillary does not need to exit now! Hang in there, you never know what will happen. If she quits now, the ego of an already overly arrogant man will only get worse.

Wow, what a way to pile on to the Newsie. The media is the darling of liberals as longs it is slamming Bush. But, lo and behold, let a journalist print an article that doesn't show the Blessed, Sainted Hillary in Celestial light, and BAM!! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!!

    What hypocrites.

Mr. Alter, while I don???t agree with you that Hillary should drop out, I do agree that gracefully exiting will strengthen her ???12 bid.
