I was a Hillary supporter from te beginning. That was until Super Tuesday, when she made all those excuses for Obama's wins. Then, the night before the Florida primary a week later, she pledged to get our stae's delegates restored votin g rights at the convention. That was outright pandering on an issue she has no control over. Howard Dean and the other eggheads at the DNC punished the democratic voters in our state(and Michigan) for our republican legislature and governor moving our primaries up. This has truly caused me a great deal of conflict....as a lifelong democrat, to be disenfranchised by my own party. I recieve emails weekly from Howard Dean asking me to contribute to the party to make sure we defeat John McCain. I have replied to these requests a number of tim es, to no avail. What I have told Mr. Dean is that I support my candidate, not the Democratic Party. I have contributed and will continue to support my candidate, Barack Obama. Maybe Hillary should be quiet and accept her name on the bottom half of the democratic ticket...

I'm so sick and tired of seeing all these negative articles and new stories on Hillary's Campaign. If you all take a look at ALL the news websites, you'll see negative videos of Hillary and at least 10 videos of Obama's speeches in his rallies. The media has been completely biased throughout the past year. Usually, the frontrunner will always recieve the negative news to try and bring them down. When Hillary was ahead she got knocked down and still recieving it while behind. Its been two weeks and I have not seen ONE negative article on Obama's campaign. I wish people actually went to BOTH Obama's and Clinton's website and read the issues. Stop trusting what you see on TV and in adverts. You'll see Hillary has SPECIFIC policies as opposed to Barack. Take a look at their College Education plans, Hillary has MANY plans, Obama has ZERO. Hillary's got a plan to resolve the housing crisis, Obama doesn't. Just don't be lazy and actually READ their policies!!!

As for the two negative ads Obama's camp posted; completely false. Obama's camp was correct in her forcing Americans to get healthcare but COMPLETELY wrong with it not being affordable. Her plan is made to be affordable. She even states how she will make them affordable. Through gov't subsidies and tax credits according to people's income. Obama doesnt state specifics at all on how his plan will be affordable. How do we trust someone else's judgment on what affordable is? And Obama keeps emphasizing that Americans will recieve the same healthcare options as members of Congress. Well guess what, I have that Federal Employee Plan through my mother. The doctors in that network are so expensive that we often go outside of our network to any other doctor b/c its cheaper. Its only good for ER visits. Obama know's this yet still advertises it. Hillary has the same option but you dont hear her selling it on every debate. She know's many american's wouldnt be able to afford it. Its Obama once again making things seem absolutely great and perfect when they arent in reality.

PLEASE I urge you to look at their policy rather than what you see and read. Obama had endorsements from SO MANY newspapers and other media throughout the US. Of course the news you recieve will be biased! Do you homework and go to their websites as well as the news websites and you'll see what i am talking about.

YOU ARE 100% CORRECT: Thank God there are some out there who are not high on Obama gas. The media has found a new story and so they cram this new cover boy down our throats by painting Hillary as satan. I for one will not join the MEDIA&OBAMA ORGY!!!!!!

Hillary will not and should not drop out. She will be just fine and hang in their because we need her and Bill's experience that they have already with all the money we are in the red with. I pray each day & night that Hilliary will keep up the good work that she is doing and stick out for the WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

UGH! Hopefully this can put an end to you Obama bashers! I USED to be a Clinton supporter but in no way should anyone pass judgement or call this man names. So annoying. I wonder what the issue with him "really" is. This helped me decide so hopefully if any of you read this and still stay with Mrs. Clinton, maybe it will end the negative comments on Mr. Obama. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/20/201332/807/36/458633

I'm an Obama supporter who admires both McCain and HIllary Clinton. I just think Barack Obama is the person for the job at this time in our nation's history. Strong leaders can inspire strength and prosperity. I also agree with his policies and plans.

I will say that I am sick to death of the media already in this election year. Regardless of whom you support, the media coverage is slanted, over-spun, annoying, churlish, and downright distorted. The media influence over the political process in this nation has crossed the line from freedome of informaiton to distortion of information, be it Obama, McCain, or Clinton.

Individuals can make the biggest impact by researching the candidates, volunteering for their campaigns, and stating their support in a dignified manner.

I am a Texas Republican and I have every intention of voting in the Democrat primary on March 4 for the expressed reason of voting AGAINST Hillary. Listen up and pay attention!!!!! This woman is the most DANGEROUS woman on the face of the planet, an American Taliban. This woman has has forgotten (if she ever knew) what character and integrity are. She is nothing more than a political whore that would compromise ANY value, virtue, bit of character, and integrity for any political expediency. Ther is absolutely no difference in Hillary and some prostitute selling herself for $25.00. Actuall, there is a difference, at least the prostitute is being honest about what she is.

I totally disagree with your article. Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States. She stands for America and she is the only one running who is qualified to run our country. Obama is purely a cheerleader. The question I would ask him, "What can you do for our country?"

If Hilliary resigns, I'll have to vote Republican for first time since Reagan

    • Posted By: wick25 @ 02/25/2008 9:47:25 PM

I agree that if Obama is the democratic nominee, I will also be voting republican for the first time in 35 years. If the Florida and Michigan votes counted, Obama would not be in the lead right now. She needs to fight for those delegates. Obama wants to change the superdelegate rule, but everyone is knocking Clinton for pushing for the delegates she won in those states. Everyone should read Geraldine Ferrara's OPED piece in the NY times today. She explains the superdelegate's purpose. They are not supposed to be a rubber stamp for the popular vote, and the popular vote is not really representative of the popular vote anyway. Just examine the way caucuses are run. Very few primary voters take part in the process. many people find it very difficult to take part in caucuses, that's why Obama supporters are favored in those cauuses.

Can you believe the sheer disgust and audacity in how the media..esp CNN and MSNBC has treated this woman? What is wrong with these morons? Where am I in hell? No, really, am I? Hello?

I can not believe this ***, day after day after day...that is going on in the US in the 21st century. People need to tell the media hounds to shut up and wise up...and learn who these people/candidates really are about, not their over exaggerated reps. Stop acting as if this is Algezeer television or however it's spelled. Obama is pragmatic, and not even good enough to be touted as such...I can speak better than him, This is a joke to say the least. WAke the hell up fellow Americans. Stop being pandered by not so equipped somatics because you think it's all about you and what you think you need. Grow up

the sheer mysogyny is so blatent...i feel as if these people are playing devil's advocate is a retarded fashion. i mean what is this Algazeera TV? CNN, MSNBC are making Fox news look intelligent and compassionate. I will never understand what these losers think of the Clintons being so bad?? Is it money that they have now? Is it jealousy...is it because these guys can't get laid and are jealous of Bill Clinton? Get over the past and get a life media hounds...I guess anyone can work in the media as dumb and pathetic as these people are..geesh. Obama is not even that talented to be touted as a speaker or even that good at pragmatizing or talking white. He shows himself to be peevish, and insecure...he does not seem to show maturity, loyalty, or conviction about real issues and clear cut objectives...stuff that we have already seen in Hillary C.
And Mccain??? I can't believe I'm living in the 21st century with this kind of media and some of these ill talented candidates. Hillary is thee only one we have, ppl.
Get real America and wake up

I completely agree. Stop sending Hilary money now and invest those dollars in your mortgage payments.

There is nothing wrong in advising Hilary to quit in dignity and grace. I was her supporter until Thursday night but changed my mind irrevocably when she evaded two important questions. First, she was asked if she thought she was wrong for voting against the Iraq troop surge and it now seems to e working???would she now admit she had made a mistake? She went on and on and never answered the question.
The second question was about earmarks, of which she seems to be one of the heaviest spenders. She supplied an ???answer??? that was totally unrelated to the question. Hello, Hilary? You spent $343 million of taxpayers??? money and you did not think we voters needed to know what your rationale for spending that money was or that we are not intelligent enough to see you are taking us for a ride.
On the other hand, Mr. Obama admitted that the troop surge seems to have reduced violence in Iraq, and gave the world the reference to where to find information about his earmark spending.
I suddenly realized that Hilary???s behavior in that debate is actually a pattern. As much as I yearn for answers, I still don???t know if she admits she made a mistake for voting for the Iraq war. What is she hiding? What does she seem perpetually allergic to the truth? Is being smart and a fighter one and same with evasiveness?
I also became angry at how I had been duped by the press all this time. The questioners did not insist that she provided an answer and just let her get away with these two important questions. Frankly, even Hilary???s campaign manager cannot do more if you got her to moderate the debate. It was a shame that CNN would supervise such a sham.
Up until that time, I had rationalized her words and actions on the basis of political exigency, but Hilary is now way past the threshold of acceptable political attack in any situation, much more so when it is against an opponent from your own party.
I will shortly make a donation to Mr. Obama???s campaign.

The money Hillary raised for her State of New Your tells me she is very effective at representing her state. Hence, she would be a great representative advocating on behalf of the American people and the the US. Your arguments for changing from being a Hillary supporter to an Obama supporter doesn't pass th smell test---

Hillary Clinton should exit. Maybe try to make some great changes in NY, first then run again if the record proves it. Or just leave office all together. She's always waiting for other people to start something and then hop on if the polls say its good. I remember watching 911 on cnn. She didn't say anything just walked behind the mayor and gov. I would like to see her take charge in the state. Lead new ideas, plans, and programs to help all people in NY.

  • Posted By: maccc @ 02/25/2008 9:44:50 PM

Why should Hillary quit? She may not have the nomination yet, and if she quits now she never will. This country would not be standing if everyone one quit because things did not come easily. The election is not until November. Just like everyhing else, we do not want to wait for results. I wish the press would put the facts out on all who are running, and then let the American public make up their own minds. The thing I wish everyone would do is vote, regardless of who someone else might be voting for. I also think the article in Newsweek is very slanted, and poor journalism.

Why? Because John McCain will get us out of Iraq and institute national health care? I know that you want Hillary to be president, but why do you you want McCain?

  • Posted By: pasbair @ 02/25/2008 9:43:08 PM

Again, I repeat, if you are looking for a connection between Jonathan Alter and Barack Obama as some way of explaining why on earth he would write this inane article -- Alter and Obama both graduated from Harvard -- and HIllary graduated from Yale.

Everyone knows at this point that there are secret societies at these Ivy League schools. Of course, they are also "Good Ol' Boy" societies, so Hillary wouldn't be getting into any of them.

It looks like what we REALLY need right now is a good old-fashioned investigation into the relationship between Alter and Obama and who is doing the financial backing of the Hillary bashing.

Somebody with MONEY doesn't want Hillary to be president. Somebody who owns a lot of media stock.

It's a good thing Hillary did not withdraw from the race before new Hampshire. If she had, you would not have had the chance to favor us with more priceless opinions about what she should do next. But truth be told, the only reason for primary elections is to give the punditocracy something to pontificate about. And luckily for you, Hillary will not be affected in the least by what you write. So you can still get paid for a few more months, no matter how much nonsense you write.

Obama could actually make some republicans vote democrat this election, clinton wont be able to do that...

    • Posted By: debgo330 @ 02/25/2008 9:41:05 PM

NO WAY, I am way too conservative to vote for Obama, although I might vote for Hillary. Most Republicans aren't going to switch from conservative to one of the top ten most liberal senators.
