Any American and the ones running for president (OBAMA) should salute the american flag and anyone who can't maybe should go to some other country .America needs some one who believes in the american way and the american people as shown in our recent elections last 7 1/2 years have not made the greatest choices and if the choices continue maybe the american people can pay 8 dollarsagallon for fuel and maybe we can really start having other counties have fund raisers for our poor and our homeless thats the path we are taking and it is a shame.Open your eyes.

Why sholud Hillary Quit? Obamais not that far ahead of her! It is still a long time until the convention. Hopefully people will will start to listen to what Obama isn't saying! Yes he is a good speaker but he doesn't really say anything. Some people are dazzeled that a black man is running for president. What they forget is that one of his parents are white. So why is he black? We need more debates between Hillary and Obama on the real issues facing the nation. Then we can see who is truely the right person to lead the Democratic Party hopefully to victory.

Dear Pasbair. We are thousands of educated people just like you that have done an extensive research to choose the right candidate. We are not being foolish by advertisements of any kind. We know that Mr. Obama is the candidate we need. Open your mind and be courageuous! There is nothing wrong to vote for a young african american. He is an intelligent man, very educated who has the right judgement and the energy that all of the others lack. He is a man that is uniting whites, blacks, latinos, asians, etc. A person that is willing to talk to the enemies in order to solve problems that affect thousands of peoples. How can you solve a problem if you don't comunicate with other nations? Do you still want the use of military force to destroy more lives? Time for a better change for all of us.

Has anyone else considered moving to Canda after this election? Because I definately have. Neither Obama or Clinton are going to help this country right now. Maybe in the future they will but right now we need someone who will actually do something not just talk about. And just because someone has lived in the White House doesn't mean they know how to be president. We need a country that helps the majority not the 5% minority that plan to move back to their native countries after they made enough money. I love this country but if it gets anyworse I am seriously considering moving to Canada or Europe. Either one, I'm not picky

My daughter and I JUSt talked about it about 2 hours ago! She to Canada and I'm going to Holland!

I just saw Sen. Obama last night in Akron. Now I know what all the excitement is about. His speech was inspiring yet substantive--not just empty words. The crowd was an enthusiastic mix of young, old, black, white.
If Hillary wins Ohio, it won't be by much.

Did he heal the lame, and turn the croissant and sushi into loaves and fishes too?

As a 62 year old democratic woman I had been waiting for many years to show the country that women in politics could and would rise above the male bashing that goes on in campaigns and work with the country to bring a visoin of a more civil Washington. Hillary let her campaign managers push her into trying to be one of the boys. Women look particularly bad when engaging in the mud of politics and she was not presidential when her campaign began to leak what we used to call dirty tricks. I find myself planning to vote for Obama because he is the one who has stayed on the issues and not gone negative or personal. The democratic party is the party for the people not the super rich. That is the issue right now. He is just pointing it out better.

Can you give a specific ad campaign or speech in which Hillary has been negative in?

      • Posted By: lisalee78 @ 02/25/2008 8:41:19 PM

obama has been guilty of negativity too. he doesnt get an easy pass. his knock on er getting down and depressed? those were skilled words attacking her gender. the fact that his wife would have to think about supporting her if she were hte nominee, when Hillsry has said she would rally behind hte dem nominee? hes taken low swipes at her health plan, votes etc. they both play dirty, its the game, but tisk tisk for letting him off the hook! hold him to the same standard you do her. They are both guilty of the same tactics. he doesnt get an easy pass

OBAMA is a pretty face, am afraid he will win, is not the first time someone gets hired based on looks and emply promises...his resumee is not very impressive

I just got back to my dorm from an Obama concert. It was AWESOME.

The Hopeful One took the stage, and the lame lept out of their wheel chairs, the blind were made to see. And he plays a MEAN pinball. Later, he ascended to a mountain top and I looked and saw MLK and Robert Kennedy standing next to him. Their garments shone like the sun. I asked if I should set up tents for them but He who is Hope said No.

Man, I can't wait for spring break.

It is a very sad day when at least half the peopl I know are planning or wanting to move to Canada after this election.

I reject the idea that all of us must unite under one candidate. Freedom to vote for the candidate of our choosing, and on his/her own merits is the right of every citizen

I do not care for Obama, for his pandering, for his Black-preacher tactics, for his stumbling in impromptu interviews, for his words which smack of the same rhetoric spoken by every candidate that has ever lived. Every candidate promotes and campaigns on change. It never happens quite the way they wish. This does not make me hopeful. It makes me cynical and jaded.

I do not have to support Obama if he wins. No president ever lives up to their words, and some fall quite short. I don't like him and there is nothing that he has said yet that rings particularly sincere or true.
He believes his own hype and the Republicans are setting him up.

It can be so disheartening to see the way that the media (that means you Newsweek) have been treating Hillary. I voted for Hillary in the primary, and she won here in California. Not only do I support her because of her experience, but also because I agree more with her plan for health care than I do Obama. Overall I think she is the stronger candidate with more ability to turn things in this country around. It doesn't help that everytime I watch Obama speak, I get completely turned off by his egotism and self-importance. Where did he get this idea that he's some sort of Democratic savior? And the media just eats it up. On MSN recently there was a video titled "Obama gets applause for blowing nose", no joke. Just the fact that the media themselves know how ridiculous their ego-stroking is is even more irritating. And don't even get me started on Obama Girl.

Where's Newsweek's article advising Huckabee to drop out? He doesn't have a shot in hell of winning a nomination, at least Hillary has a fighting chance. There is no way Hillary should drop out, not now. It ain't over yet.

If Hillary is all about doing what's best for her party, why doesn't she see that if Obama gets the nomination, many Republicans (like myself) are seriously considering voting for him along with many Independants. However, if Hillary gets the nomination, she will Polarize the parties more than ever and energize us Republicans to come out in droves to vote against her! I would rather vote for Kermit the Frog than her!

the fact senator clinton is behind in the delegate count at this time isnt enough to suggest that she should even consider pulling out until the convention. Miraculous wins and superior primary numbers havent satisfied or even begun to answer the questions of senator obama's presidential leadership capability any more than it has clinton's. with 796 super deligates on the loose this quetion of pulling out is going down to a convention floor fight.

I am really sick of reading negative articles about Hillary. She deserves a equal chance just like Barack. For some reason the media is so against her, I know it would be a shame if a woman that was intelligent ran this country. I wish the american people would wake up and realize without her we might as well stay with what we have , she is the only one that is going to get us on the right track.

It is too bad that people such as Holly1952 and lisaa1483 can be that pathetic and write in with complete ignorance with regards to this subject matter...I only hope that your children grow up with more self-esteem that you apparently have. You need to feel better about yourself before you can intelligently write in about someone else in order for your comments to be taken seriously and in both of your cases, they can't be. Good luck to both of you..you seriously need some.

Hillary needs to go back to the kitchen where she belongs ...

    • Posted By: kyteacher @ 02/25/2008 8:36:09 PM

That is just WRONG!! Women are independent and intelligent. They can manage classrooms, care for patients, organize and run coorporations, as well as propose government policies.

I almost feel sorry for you... because your prejudices reduce your posibilities.
