The media sways with the wind looking for a hero and it seems Obama has filled the ticket...at least for now. It is so obvious how Clinton is portrayed with strife while teflon Obama slips by without a scratch on his suit. He's the popular jock consuming the spotlight while the read hard work was already done by a more competent women. I scoff at the reasons supporters of Obama speak. He makes me "feel" good. Well that's just great - "feeling good" solves problems like hallmark cards cures cancer. Too bad women have forgetten what we have fought for since gaining the right to vote. I've always said, women are their own worst critic. And this election will prove it again. When it comes to leaders, sorry women of the U.S. you still end up picking the man. As for me, I'm proud of Hillary's efforts and tenacity. And as for the "saving face" issue, I don't believe Hillary gives a rat's a** about that!

I hope your ability to have a dream and dare to use your talents to make them come true return. Sorry you are angry at Obama because he doesn't have the baggage of the Clintons. But... he doesn't. The hate won't heal you, and it doesn't care. Dare to dream. Sit at the table. Demand to be heard and look for a better life. Hate makes you look ... like a bitter slash mouthed fish wife with nothing good to say about anything or anyone. All the best.

Well, there's at least ONE connection between Johnathan Alter and Barack Obama -- they both graduated from Harvard. Hillary graduated from Yale.

Something is going on here when there is a connection between a prominent journalist publishing an utterly biased article on the eve of the most decisive primaries in the one of the most hotly contested bids for the Democratic nomination we have seen.

Either Alter is purposely committing the most abominable of acts as a journalist -- to mis-use his power and responsibility to purposely influence the outcome of an election...or someone is holding something over Alter to cause him to publish this. Jonathan, tell me the latter is true.

While a novel idea, it will never happen. The Clintons are in it for one reason and one reason only- THE POWER! She/they will do anything they have to in order to win- she is MUCH too proud to admit defeat- heck, she can't even congratulate him when he won! And this is the kind of attitude we need to bring the parties together? I think not!

Didn't hear much grace from Newsweek about Mitt's graceful withdrawel? Only applies to Democrats as far as Newsweek is cincerned?

  • Posted By: rab015 @ 02/25/2008 6:57:18 PM

Since when did Jonathan Alter or Newsweek become the voice of the Democratic party or it's constinuents?

    • Posted By: GregHere @ 02/25/2008 7:44:18 PM

Hillary Clinton should keep her campaign active now it is rediculous for Newsweek or others to suggest that the nomination should be just handed to Barak Obama in February. MiKe Huckabee keeps his campaigh going to this point even though he is down more than 3 to 1 in delegates, he says he wants to keep the issues before us as does "No Chance Ralph" Nader who wants exposure to give his political views. Let the Democrats keep it going and lets give more time to finding out who the real Obama is other than a guy who gets up on stage and has the speel and glitz that attracts the new and naive people who have surfaced this year. Hillary has teen under the spotlights and taken the heat for many years from the press and the Rush Limbaugh types while Obama has been cloistered in the background waiting to pop up and pounce politically..........Let Obama be scrutinized under the spotlights and in full view for a season or so and see how he stands up to the pressures and heat when viewed from all sides.

Yes, and the million men march in Washington DC inspired black men to be good husbands and fathers. My parents must have done something wrong, because I learn about responsibility from them. In any case, there are well spoken ministers that have convinced otherwise normal people to take their lives in the name of faith and hope. Mr. Obama is just an eloquent speaker who says what people wants to hear but at the end of the day he is nothing more than just another politician. Because no matter what he said he is going to do, we all know that it has to go pass congress and the senate before it becomes law. He is not going to be dictator, an emperor or a king, he is just running for president.

The reality is the best thing that ever happened to Obama was New Hampshire. They, nor anyone else have forgotten it. It is forcing the Obama camp to drive hard to the finish line while Clinton awaits another miracle that will never happen. Thank you New Hampshire.

What I don't understand is that we have several comments from people saying that Hillary has such a "good senate record", and these comments are from people who haven't even looked at that record. What's so good about it? A vote to authorize Bush to go to War, a vote towards a trade policy with China, what else?

the media has a responsiblity to report news not to speculate...

I want to say this once and for all as clearly as possible. Barrack Obama is not, I will repeat this, NOT muslim. He is Christian. I'm not even a Democrat, I just can't stand to see ignorance.

I think that you are running a dirty pro obama campain! all this fuss about the empty obama message (change!) has something close to religious phanatism-- this country need a president and a leader not a prophet! I really really hope that hispanics will be smarter and we can ERASE the name of this man from the election-- forever!

obviously a woman can go into another country and talk to male leaders...her presence is influential and will be a tremendous catalyst for change--truly the epitome of constitutional ideals.

It was a goog run for Hillary Clinton but I think it's time to admit defeat and exit gracefully. We are experiencing a avalanche of support for Barack Obama, "Hussein" and all. And should he win, I will still vote for him for president. For me, Mc Cain just doesn't feel right. He's still a very traditional politician. Something we DON'T deserve.

maybe this guy should just shut up. Ever since hilary announced that she's going to run as president, cnn, msnbc and other news media started to bash her left and right. Everytime i read the papers now the only thing i see is how good obama and how bad hilary is. If Obama gets the nomination, i'm voting for mccain. i don't care if i have to endure another 4 years under a republican than vote for somebody who is arrogant, cocky, and inexperienced!!!

    • Posted By: tombovera @ 02/25/2008 7:41:05 PM

WAY TO GO MY FRIEND| me too i will vote for mcain because i dont any fricken super star in obama i only endorse one super star is name is MICHAEL JACKSON too bad they don't have any respect for him treat him like *** in his own coutry

It doesn't matter who you are for... The fact remains that there is a process and that process is called Democracy! Everyone has the right to vote and the right to run for President if they so desire. For a newspaper columnist to try to influence the American public and sway voters to benefit his way of thinking is just plain ridiculous! We already have a President that uses religion to do the same thing! The Huckster is still in the race and claims he will be until the end. So why is this columnist trying to persuade Hilary to quit?
She is still in the running, much more than the Huckster!
