Americans in general are still fear of having a female leadership. Probably need another decades or so to have thier mindset turn the tide. Latinos and black communities are the as equal as 3rd world voters, they judge people by skin colors 1st. Since Obama is a half black and half white, he is more of the black to black and close to latono for latino expecially when Obama promised them a may be amnesty to illegal who is current still in USA. Obama captured almost 90% of the support from within these groups and also attracted a third of the white and other minorities.... Oobviously, this is a race of skin color but not who can really do the job.

Newsweek and Alter are trying to create the story with a sensational, premature call for Clinton to drop out. This is a silly article and typical of the media bias against Hillary. I thought Newsweek was better than this garbage.

Will Hillary be impeached? WIll Obama be assinated by the 'white power" seperation that still exsists in the south...This country is getting close but not so close that we will see a female hold the key or a man "mixed". They have similar views, great speaches, and amazing ideas...they are just ideas...I wasn't alive in the John F. Kennedy era..however...he was the key...someone knew it and took him out...Obama and Hillary are the key...someone will take them out as well

I cancelled my subscription to Newsweek, and I am glad I did!!!

Alter should be ashamed of himself. The smirk on his face in the picture is a telltale of his meaness and hate for Hillary. Bad journalism. Hillary should fight till the fat lady sings. It ain't over till it's over.

    Go Hillary '08!

i agree... ever since hilary decided to win these media group including cnn and msnbc are taking turns on bashing at her. why is it that when obama is on the news it's always about the good things, but when its hilary she always looked bad on the news. that'snot fair! i know hilary is not perfect and she acknowledges that but obama is not a saint either. If he wins the nomination i'm going for a republican. I don't care if i have to endure another 4 years under a republican president it's better than having an airhead, cocky, inexperienced president in the white house

Hate to tell ya...but you've had that for the last (7)+ years. I am counting down the days until this administration is over. I like Obama & Clinton both. I like his idealism and charm, but I was leaning more toward voting for her, simply due to familiarity....until lately. She is trying everything imaginable to win, and you know what...there's nothing wrong with that, except when you show people that you will do ANYTHING to win...at what point do you draw the line, and concede to the fact, you've gone too far???

  • Posted By: PatRye @ 02/25/2008 7:37:26 PM

Hillary doesn't need to quit yet. She could still get the nomination and even if she doesn't I plan to write her name in anyway. I have waited many years to vote for a woman for President and now I see my last best hope going down the drain. At this point I don't give a damn about Obama or the Democratic party winning the election. I feel like I have been been stomped on and kicked to the side of the road. Well, right back at you!

  • Posted By: hergonz @ 02/25/2008 7:37:17 PM

Five Democratic votes in my family for McCain if Obama is the nominee.

  • Posted By: jkh5804 @ 02/23/2008 9:15:56 PM

Okay. It seems obvious... Hillary doesn't have foreign policy experience. I've asked three times for someone to explain her foreign policy experience and no one has in the two hours since I first asked. I can only conclude that's because it doesn't exist. And, of course, no one has tackled the "38 years" piece either. Hmm... here we are back at that substance issue again. (Now, who is everyone saying lacks substance?)

    • Posted By: FOROURFREEDOM @ 02/25/2008 7:37:13 PM

You are correct in your observations. I ask various people about her "foreighn policy" experience, and am met by deafening silence. Likewise with the 38 years of "other" experience. This woman has an ego which is rivaled only by her husband's. It seems to be that so many females in the United States want a woman president, they are willing to settle for this sordid creature. Let's look past the flirty, smiling Hillary we see ad nauseam on the television and other media. Remember the First Lady Hillary. Good God, could that woman smile or be pleasant to anyone, or was her sole intent at that time to openly ram her liberal agenda down the throats of the American people? Now she is the epitomy of Ms. Congeniality, a FALSE FACE for a FALSE WOMAN. She is still the frustrated, angry woman we saw during Bill Clinton's administration. Hillary Clinton would bring nothing to the White House or the country, except maybe more filthy politics and back-room deals, just like her husband. Americans are wonderful people, but our memories are painfully short.

Clinton is on the armed services committee in the Senate. She has been a senator at the national level much longer than Obama has. In addition, her experience as first lady, accompanying her husband counts a little bit.

  • Posted By: abod @ 02/25/2008 7:36:46 PM

I consider Hillary Clinton the best prepared to be president this time. Her record as senator shows she is very affective working with democrats and republicans and enjoys wide support in NY State. To think she is too controversial means to follow old game some people play against her for last 15 years. You should support Hillary Clinton considaring urgent need of effective leadership for our country.

  • Posted By: IAMROUGHDRAFT @ 02/25/2008 5:30:57 PM

As a two time national Clinton supporter I have to say that their recent public tantrums are distastefull .!

But out of all of this a new meaning for the word Hillbilly is born....Hill-Billy, as in acting like Hill-Billy's
like Hill and Bill and their nasty street fighting actions. Bill actually aproaching citizens who have the guts to shout out Obama, and her failure to take responsibliity for getting us in the War, Nafta (Bill was a cheerleader for the support of Bush one and two).

Please let it be said right here and now that I coined the phrease that the Clintons gave new meaning to ....Hill-Billy

MY FRIEND *** HAPPENS, BLAME IT ON BUSH. HE IS THE ONE WHO FOOLS THE CONGRESS AND EVERYBODY TO GO TO WAR SAYING THAT SADDAM HAS MASS AND DESTRUTIVE WEAPONS CRAP
BLAME THAT *** ON BUSH OKAY

Sadly, Her bert, like so many in the media, is enthralled by the new "American Idol", just as they were in the past two elections. I pray that Clinton will become the nominee; I can trust her lead the country. I wish all Americans could understand that. we are choosing a leader for our country, not an "American Idol".

    • Posted By: Obama supreme @ 02/25/2008 7:35:42 PM

That's just silly. People are smarter than you give them credit for. They see Obama has what it takes to lead the country, with the help of others, to a much better future -- for everyone.

What are you all worrying about? McCain is going to be the next President, can't you see it? 52 percent of the people do not want Monica's boyfriends (wife) back in the White House and 56 percent of the people don't want a guy with a middle name of Hussein in there either. The Winner is....... McCain. Face the facts folks

  • Posted By: nipplebuster @ 02/25/2008 7:35:28 PM

I think the only good to come out of this election would be to see Hillary get crushed by a rookie, how wonderful that will be to watch, all of the candidates have the same views and none of them can change anything so lets just enjoy the defeat of the Clinton's.

  • Posted By: FranforHillary @ 02/25/2008 7:35:26 PM

Shame on you, how dare you tell Hillary Clinton to get out of the race. Not all votes have been counted and I sure hope she stays in it until one candidate has won the correct number of delegates to win the nomination. At the rate the press has been continuously attacking Senator Clinton, there is no chance that the press would ever report on any mistake Obama makes. The press could be slapped in the face with a mistake made by him and they would twist it around and make it Senator Clinton's problem. She is a fighter and I admire how she handles herself by overcoming every obstacle that has been thrown her way. Obama has had a free ride and I hope March 4th will stop that ride. Senator Clinton is the person we need in the White House. And the press needs to stop it???s biased reporting. You seem to forget, Hillary Clinton is a woman, and women do not give up just because they are told to do so. That???s when we fight even harder, especially when we believing in something as strongly as Senator Clinton believes in this fight for the White House.

I am so sick of people calling Hillary 'experienced'! Experienced at WHAT exactly? She was frickin First Lady ..so what! She promised health care then and didn't get it..why? because she was too busy trying to take credit for it to really do what was necessary to get it passed. Now she wants to make up for that by FORCING me to pay for something I CANNOT afford! How dare she tell the American people that we are lazy, uncaring and ignorant! How dare she say if we are not FORCED we will NEVER buy it...she has NOT been listening at all!!!! 47 million people don't have health insurance because the special interests groups and lobbyists that are funding her campaign WON'T LET US afford it! PERIOD!
Her so called 'experience' is 8 years in the senate building up a mass collection of favors OWED to people that don't give a rats behind about the American people. I do not want another president who is controlled by PAC's, special interests, lobbyists...and THAT IS what Hillary's so called experience will bring us!
Her 'experience' is NOT that much longer than Obama's. He actually has MORE elected experience than she does!! and his 'elected' experience shows he does NOT bow down to lobbyists...the ONLY change Hillary will bring to our country is she is a woman...BIG DEAL!!!

Jonathan, I expect better from you. Enough of this media bias against Hillary Clinton; it's getting old and annoying.

    • Posted By: aad135 @ 02/25/2008 7:35:07 PM

Now, this is an interesting comment, media bias against ***-on..? A year ago, it was the Obamamas crying foul that the media didn't do enough for their "cause" - this is classic democrat hypncricy..!

If Hillary Clinton was a man no one would be saying she should quit- no one would be saying she should "exit with grace". She is in the fight of her life and for our country- yes, should could exit now and it would be better for her political career- but she's doing what she feels is best for the country. It's funny how I don't see too many articles urgind Mike Huckabee to drop out when it's clear he won't be the nominee- Hillarys supporters in Texas and Ohio would be disappointed if they didn't have a say in this. Obamamania is soon going to fade in the minds of fickle Americans, but she is resolute. I agree that it doesn't look good for her- but she still has a shot so why not keep going -she's made it this far. If she drops out she'll look like a pansy to Americans- it's always better to go out swinging.

God I am so sick of hearing from writers like you. Especially from a publication as powerful and influential as Newsweek. Ironic, this article suggesting Hillary has no chance of winning and should leave that race comes out right before major contests that she needs to win. Although I've heard many complain about it before, this is the first time I've noticed how manipulative the media can be during an election. It's obvious they are trying to shape the contest by telling voters what to think, unfortunately so many Americans are unable to think for themselves that this practice works. It makes me really sad. Have you ever considered that the reason Hillary continues to fight on is not because she is the power-hungry politico that you've painted her to be, but instead feels she owes it to the MILLIONS of voters that believe in her, have supported her, have donated to her campaign, and are counting on her to fight as hard as she can to make it to the White House and turn this country around? Give me a break. Maybe instead of Hillary stepping aside, the author of this article should resign.
