I am so disgusted with the media. You have done 90% of the damage to the Hillary campaign allowing your love for Obama to cloud your otherwise fair and balanaced reporting. You all have been mesmerized by him and reported in his favor for months. Even a title like the one of the this article is such a direct attack on Hillary that I can't read your journal anymore. Hillary is by far the best qualified of the two. Barak is going to take an entire term to get up to speed. I am so tired of the wool being pulled over the eyes of the public (and now the media). I am marketing professional and know EXACTLY what strings to pull to get my customers to drink my cool-ade. It's a formulaic process that Obama is following to a T. It gets the general public to buy in, but it's not goint to get Washington insiders and international leaders to buy into anything. BE SMARTER THAN THAT. Don't let the wool be pulled over your eyes. WAKE UP! HELLO--you give the job to the most qualified. It's sexism at its best with the women of the country most to blame. If Hillary can't be elected, no woman will be for a long time. Women would rather be in love with a man than put a woman in power. They are too jealous and want their fellow women to be meek and quiet as well. Woman have a problem with other women being powerful but I am woman and I don't. I feel aweful for her, for herself and for all other women. Not because I think people should vote for her because she is a woman, but people are NOT voting for her because she is a strong woman, and that is tragic.

Frankly, I think women can (and will) do better than Hillary Clinton. As for Obama being the media darling - maybe they've seen something you haven't. Just maybe, the folks in the media are bright, educated people capable of making up their own minds... and when they lean to support a candidate, we shouldn't simply point fingers and accuse of biases, but should consider why these people would protect Obama so much in the first place.

      • Posted By: beaker87 @ 02/25/2008 7:28:17 PM

Bright educated people in the media, my first thought was isn't that an oxymoron. As you say these bright educated people in the media may lean toward one candidate or the other, but they are there to report the news not their opinions. If they are leaning towards one candidate or the other they are biased and should be accussed of it.

Pesonally, I'm tired of hearing how Obama voted "no" for everything. It ws revealed to me during the Nevada debate that he doesn't know how to vote - so he probably meant to vote "yes" for NAFTA and the WAR. Even Lou Dobbs was in favor of NAFTA it was what daddy Bush did with it when he was in office that messed it up. Obama is green and from out of nowhere - I certainly do not want him leading my country do you? And HIllary is respected in the middle east and other countries where they all hated G. W. Bush - the idiot! Hillary will pull the reins in on the corporations that G. W. Bush let run amok! Corporations need order and regulations. She will get G. W. Bush's mess straightened out. Why do men hate a strong woman, is it because she reminds men of their mothers who made them wash behind their ears. Yeah, but mother's saw that you had your homework done, your dinner and lunch made, and money in your pocket? You know Hillary will get the mess cleared up and in record time where Obama would be still stammbering and stumbling around looking for lost papers and trying to figure out how to vote or sign off on bills.

      Is Testosterone more controlable????????
There are many countries who have have successful female leaders. America is one of the few that has not had any female leaders.

are you kidding me..! boviously you've never been around a woman when she is being fine (freak-out, insecure, neurotic and emothinal)... you must be a 10-year old boy without any curlies - wait and you'll see..!

This is sooo cool. I can't stand Hillary and the the '2 for one' power grab that she and Bill are trying to pull off! Four or even eight more years of looking the other way while Al Queda attacks our ships, embassies and financial centers? Four or eight more years of dishonoring our history and values by having sex in the Oval Office? I don't think so. Clinton has screwed herself with her big mouth and hot temper, and her hubby has put the coup de grace on her bid by playing the racial card. Now you throw in Ralph Narder to steal a few more delgates and Hillary can kiss her rear good bye. Here is the sweet part...........you now have a black man with an Arab name running against a real (not swiftboat John) war hero in November. No matter what our nation says out loud, it ain't gonna happen. Looks like the republicans are going to be around awhile longer!

I agree to the fullest!!! She and Bill have done nothing but rob this country and it's people!! And as far as a black man or not, NO WAY will I vote for him. No experience....No vote!!!

Wow Trenton, how about you reread the bible and relax/ If anything we need someone who will not vote along religious ties and think with their head instead of their faith. Our nation was built on the promise of a separation of church and state, but apparently everyone has overlooked that. The religious right and you (if you are not a part of that particular section of our nation) are so outdated and ridiculous. Let go of the hateful religious talk and look at the scientific facts in our world. By the way, the Earth was not created in 6 days, it was a metaphor.

Unfortunately, I agree with your article and I am an Independant who supports Hillary. I am a senior that feels that Hillary would support my health care needs better. I am reluctant to vote for a "Dr Feel Good" but I do respect Obama. I think he will have trouble with Congress and probably be ineffective as a President. If Hillary loses or withdraws I will probably vote for McCain but not out of anger for her losing to Obama. I also think that the notion that Obama will be a uniter is bull. Every Democrat I know that supports Hillary, including my wife swears that if Obama wins they will vote for McCain. This country's electorate no longer rallies behind the winner. They just wait for their time to come.

I should explain that I was answering someone's question about Obama's middle name. I don't have any opinion about it either way.

Alterman is a Hillary hater who wants to go out with dignity...give me a break. Keep up the good fight Hillary. At least us Clinton supporters will not have to seriously consider whether to vote for Barack or not. A problem the Obamamaniacs seem to have.

I'm from PA and I'm upset that you would suggest that it be decided before I vote. Hillary would not be humiliated if she were defeated. After all isn't that what democracy is all about? Are the millions of people who voted for her minced meat? Why don't you emphasize her positive numbers i.e. popular vote and delegate vote? If Barack can't survive the general after being tested in the primaries, then perhaps Hillary is the better candidate. I've been an MSNBC regular, but I've really been disappointed with their bias in favor of Barack. And you're one of their regulars and you do the same. STOP BEING THE STORY, JUST REPORT THE NEWS AND DON'T DECIDE FOR THE VOTERS. Hillary was fighting for Civil Rights when it was not fashionable and even dangerous. Her efforts contributed to minorities being able to have a shot at the presidency. Why aren't you emphasizing that? Hillary is Hillary and Bill is Bill. If Hillary is elected, she'll be President, not Bill. When people talk about family values, I think of Hillary who could have easily and justifiably dumped her husband like some of the other, holier than thou candidates, but she stuck up for her family and forgave. Oh yeal, you have an answer for that too. She just wanted to get elected in the future by sticking with Bill. You've got all the angles covered but for the posibility that she is a person of decency and valour and dedication to the causes she has put her life into. So don't say throw in the towel so you can be proven right in your manpulation of the headlines. Let democracy run its course. You make FOX look better than it is. Maybe I'll swith to CNN. I won't be subscribing to Newsweek anytime soon. Yours truly, a former Legal Services Attorney, Jim

Obama has an almost 1 million vote lead in the popular vote. She only has a lead in super delegates because of her ties to Washingont insiders. Facts, get them straight.

      • Posted By: JJM-NJ @ 02/25/2008 7:27:17 PM

And you forgot, the popular vote doesn't count in the final elections, the electoral vote it's what really counts, and from the looks of it, Hillary is winning the electoral vote. Look it up, google it, search it, research it; however you search your information.

Hillary Clinton has been running for president for two years while holding a seat in the US Senate. That means that the US Tax payers have been paying her for a job that she was not doing. I think that any time a elected official is seeking a new job, that they should resign from office.

I keep hearing in the debates of what each canidate will do when elected president. Has the power of the presidency changed where the president can only sign a bill into law or veto it. I know it sounds good to the public but why hasn't the canidates done something while serving in the law making body of the Government? Is it a snow job?

    • Posted By: kimiesue @ 02/25/2008 7:26:55 PM

At least Hillary is still voting, unlike Mr. Obama, who only votes PRESENT. Exactly who is wasting the tax payers money? Whether I agree with Hillary, or not, at least I can research and see where her votes went, what issues we agree on, and which issues we don't. I am not bashing Obama, but I do not blindly give my vote away. I want to know who and what I am voting for. Is it too much to ask that a Senator votes and make a stand on an issue? I do not agree, that a person should step down just because you are running for another position, but I do agree that you still have to perform as if you were not running.. intresting that you only called out Hillary on that (and she is still voting...)

    • Posted By: BigSexy1 @ 02/25/2008 7:13:57 PM

I assure you that US Taxpayers have spent the majority of their money in Iraq.

  • Posted By: bounty92 @ 02/25/2008 5:57:49 PM

Get over yourselves people. Barack will put America back where it rightfully belongs, at the top, with everyone respecting us again. Can you imagine Hillary representing us in front of the president of Iran. He would just laugh at her. Go Barack. People just deal with it. We dealt with Bush all these years, now shut your mouths and go vote.

YOU THINK IS THIS COUNTRY IS LOOKING FOR A STRON PRESIDENT THE PEOPLE GONNA CHOSE OBAMA? THE MAN IS JUST A TALKER SKINNY ASS

  • Posted By: Pulpfiction @ 02/25/2008 7:25:55 PM

    I support Obama.
But Clinton to get out?! Never! She should stay in until the end. She has as much a chance of winning the Presidency as anyone else. She may be down, but don't count her out...not yet anyway. There is still room for a comeback. It's time for the Media to quit trying to select the President and let the process work! (Albiet it did not work in the last two elections!) Again the Media seems to think they are going to select a President by trying to influance the voters with such ideas as these. Let the process of Democracy work and just maybe we can pull this country out of what the Republicans have gotten us into. Time for Change! GO OBAMA!!

OMG IM SHOCKED THAT YOU COULD CALL HIM THE ANTICHRIST I MEAN THAT SEEMS TO ME TO BE A BIT EXTREME. IF YOU DONT CARE FOR HIS VIEWS EXPRESS THAT BUT JUST PAY ATTENTION TO SOME OF THE DIFFRENCES BETWEEN THE TWO. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN FORCED TO BUY SOMETHING YOU MAY NOT PARTICULARLY BE ABLE TO AFFORD? IT DOESNT FEEL SO GOOD. I AM ALL FOR HEALTHCARE FOR EVERYONE HOWEVER LETS MAKE IT AFFORDABLE AND THEN LET IT BE AN OPTION. IT SHOULD NOT EVER BE MANDATORY AFFORDABLE YES BUT NOT MADATED. LOOK AT THIS POINT YOU WILL PAY A FINE IF YOU DONT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE UNDER CLINTONS PLAN AFTER 3 TIMES OF NOT HAVING IT YOU WILL THEN GO TO JAIL. SO IF YOU CANT AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE YOU THEN GET AN ADDITIONAL BILL TO PAY GREAT! THEN YOU MAY LOSE YOUR JOB BECAUSE YOUR IN JAIL THEN WHAT ITS A DOMINIO EFFECT YOU CANT FORCE AMERICAN TO DO THAT. JUST MAKE IT AVAILABLE LIKE UNDER OBAMA HE SAID HE WILL LOWER THE COST THERE FOR IF YOU WANT IT ITS AVAILABLE FOR YOU............ THINK ...

I watched the debate on Thur night & I tell you I was proud of both Mrs. Clinton & Mr. Obama. I would love to see them on a ticket together..she is President & he as VP. I think they would be unstoppable. I have to believe that the enormous damage that George Bush has done to our nation & to the world ; that some of that damage could be undone by Hillary & Barac. I think both of these candidates are people of tremendous integrity. I would vote for both together or either of them who get the nomination. What a difference from President Bush.

You Obamatrons are foolish. Please visit Detroit and then say what black leadership will do for this country. Detroit imploded under black leadership and has never been able to recover. Is that what you want for America?

There is nothing wrong with Hillary being angry about him spreading misconceptions regarding her platform!

Hillary is the most intelligent and qualified candidate.

I like hillary, but I dont trust her or bill all the lies and money schemes they have been associated with concernes me, not to mention the nafta crap. Money, Power , and Greed is there motivation it always has been. I f you look at there records in the past it will tell the future, how soon the public forgets I dont see how she can even run much less have bill campaign with her without being so embarrassed its funny!!!!!!

    • Posted By: JJM-NJ @ 02/25/2008 7:24:54 PM

Then you should go read (factcheck.org) if Nafta really concerns you, because I think you are getting your information from the biased media and not a real source.
