I was so glad to see Steve who said he refused to drink the koolaid. I, too, am voting for McCain if Obama wins....this will fall so fast before the election and if in office, we will be reading the blogs of those asking, WHA' HAPPENED???? What goes up fast and quick, goes down hard. There is no foundation here.

why would you vote for mccain if obama wins? is it because he's black? why is it so hard for people to realize that some just some of us can set aside our racial differences and vote the best democratic person in. how many republicans voted for bush and thought that he was incompetent i can tell you a lot why because he was republican and that was there party and thru thick and thin whether they like the candidate or not they're going to vote there party. now you i am guessing that you are democrate but, because you are racist and believe me you are you would rather risk another 4 more years of our soldiers being killed for a unjust war and you would rather risk 4 more years of this sunken economy all because you don't like obama. you are pathetic, and shame on you all of you who think this way i would think that at this point in time that another republican in the house would be rough on everyone white, black, brown.so let us put aside our personal feelings and take care of business at hand. vote democratic at all cost. I am sick of hearing so many negative stories about Mrs. Clinton while Mr. Obama gets away with murder. Two weeks ago Michelle Obama's said "For the first time in my adult lifetime I am really proud of my country", and nobody question her or Mr. Obama about comment. Them last week we got Michelle Obama' Princeton thesis where she wrote, ???I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don???t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second,??? and once again no one ask Mr. Obama any questions about it. In my opinion, to have a first lady who feels like this about white people is dangerous. Also, no one is making a big deal about the FACT that the man that could be our next president refuses to wear a USA Flag on his shirt collar. Why is everyone so afraid of asking questions of this candidate? He is a public official,so we are entitle to answers from him. If he becomes president would any body in congress of the senate have the B----s to disagreed with him without having to worry about their political future? Mr. Obamas' wife is proud to be an American for the first time in her adult life, and I am scare to be one for the first time in mine.

    Mr. Alter,
Thank you for your opinion, however, that is all that it is - your opinion. I am more than curious why you and others have not done your homework and advised the American public "who" is footing the bill for the massive Obama campaign and what are they going to get for their investment. I am a Hillary supporter and should she not get the nomination, I will no longer be a Democratic. For the first time in my life, I will vote Republican. Mr. Obama is a nice guy and speaks well, however, right now we do not need just a charismatic President. We need a strong, decisive leader who can make tough decisions fast. Both John McCain and Hillary Clinton have the background, experience and tenacity that America needs. Either would be better than Mr. Obama.

My sentiments exactly. I recently wrote Senator Clinton and stated that, faced with a choice between Obama and McCain, I would vote Republican for the first time in my 55-year life, and vote for McCain. That's how much I distrust Mr. Obama's fine words. He says much that sounds wonderful, but actually DOING it all will prove quite another matter.

Why is it so hard to fathom Hillary as viable? I don't think Obama is all that gracious (didn't shake her hand at the SOTU) or strong (gets his feelings hurt, etc.). He is just a good, smart man. She dishes like a man, but he can't take it like one. Yes, I'm guessing that if Hill got the nomination McCain would win because of an UNREASONABLE dislike in this country for a strong, capable, intelligent WOMAN. Can't help but be a pragmatist, but darn, why does it have to be like this? An a-hole like Bush gets to cheat his way into the White House and stay there for two terms. And this country let it happen. Don't kid yourselves, Obama can talk change all he wants....this country won't change.

me too my friend; I dont think Obama is all that . I think the american people are making a fool out of themselves by treating him like a super star. The man just got a big sweet mouth that's all.

It looks like everyone on the outside of the camp likes to make discissions on what or what she does or does not do thats just like saying NY. runs the whole U. S. such a small place that wants to be they call that a wannabe don'they? Well i am not a big fan even though i believe she has some great ideas and will put them into action if she should make office but for someone like the time to tell her when to leave is like listing to the NY. times or the Washington Post, people only listen to this redric when they have no mind of their own and for theier own purpose and way to sway the weak minded who (HOW SAD) can't think for themselves. Let her run her race who says Osoma has won. It seems as if everyone trys to run people into the ground anymore there is just not enough encouragement for anyone. Oh and why hasn't all the reporters and news people & commantators raised their ugly heads and run for office instead of hidding in the shadows giving advice that their such experts about. So much for the BS., MS., and Phd. degrees (Bullsh**,Moresh** and Phildupsh**) sad day for dems. and hateful people.

I don't think Hillary should quit. Heck Huckabee is still giving the college try. That doesn't mean I will vote for her. Real change will come from the people and someone who isn't corrupted (as of yet) with the DC bull for the past twenty or so years. Vote for Obama if you want change. From a card carrying conservative. I might not agree with his positions but I respect his efforts to unite instead of the partisan crap of late

When will you "change" people open your eyes and smell the coffee..? A new President will not change DC; chagne of power from Republican to Democrat in Congress will not make change in DC; you're dreaming if you think this..! Change will only come when we, the People, take the initiative to put people in our seats that represent our interests, not special interests. That is why there has been such a big bally-whoo about lobbyists consorting in the Presidential campaigns. When we get it through to our elected leaders that my concerns are more important and they act upon them. Otherwise, accept the fact that the "great democratic experiment" has turned into nothing more than an "elected aristocracy"..!

HIllary RODHAM CLINTON is an atheist.

That comment holds about as much truth as the one suggesting that Barack Obama is Muslim-
    How does it feel?

I am a democrat, if Hillary loses I will not vote for Obma.
He does not have enough sense to get out the rain when it's raining. H e has to have some come out and tell him it is rainging outside.
I will vote for McCain or Nader.

If others would take the time to see that Obama really speaks straight to the average voter, they would understand why Hillary should bow out. Not only is he great with speeches, but he orderly tells everyone his agenda and answers all questions possible from the audience. Even stupid questions. I have been a registered republican all my life and I believe he is what we need, Why? He inspires people to be involved with their government like they have not before, because what our previous politicians have done to us. Forget politics as usual. This is really different!!!

I predict that Barack Obama will have more delegates going into the convention. However, the Super Delegates will vote for Hilary giving her the party nomination. This will divide the party with the rank and file party members being alienated by the Democratic Party elite, and it will insure that John McCain will be the next President.

Advice from someone who already dislikes Hillary is hollow. She is in it to win and she doesn't need advice from Alter or Obama. If the time comes that she is not successful have no fear she will be graceful. Interesting word J. Alter chose isn't it--so ladylike. Will he tell that to Obama when he goes behind on delegates. I look forward to finding out. In the meantime I will continue to combat the media's distortions of this campaign and work for Hillary's win in November.

Hillary is the best qualify candidate to win the democrate everybody knows it But the american people are just blind to go for Obama. WHO IS OBAMA? the man needs to work out with bonny ass. He is too skinny and needs to eat some beef. He keep saying time for change right? I think what he really means by saying that is: IT'S TIME TO HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT IN THE STATES.

If Hillary couldnt keep track of Bill how can she keep track of the country???? sick, sexist, and by that reasoning no one whos been divorced, cheated on or is single should have a job. i question the relationships of those who need to say such disgusting comments. this posting has become so sexist i wont even engage in this. Way to go newsweek. second rate journalism

in a world where domestic violence is still prevalent, and women still die from this abuse, women are still raped and in other countries they are sold into sex slavery, i find the comments allowed on here nothing but ignorant and dangerous, and as a woman, im scared of the mentality of the people that have nothing but sexist things to say.

  • Posted By: ghostfisher @ 02/25/2008 7:06:43 PM

Hillary has been wanting and planning to be president since Bill was still in the White House. She made a calculation then that staying married to him would be better for her political career and aspirations to be president. Evidence of how darn bad she wants the presidency, is that she has been willing to stay married to that pant load for all these years. She is beside herself that it has all been for naught. I agree that she won't be able to let herself quit until the last, bitter moment.

As a 62 year old Democratic woman I have been waiting for this for so long only to find myself not proud of the race Hillary has put on. We were to be the civil, thoughtful, composed candadates and leave the nasty tricks to the men. Negative adds and rumor and inuendo should have been left to the boys it is unbecomming a woman. That is what happened to her she tried to be a good old boy and it backfired.

It appears Hillary and many here can't take the heat of negative press. It would only get worse if she were president; however, she would blame it on a "left wing" conspiracy. At least Bush can take the heat...I think all you need to get of the kitchen.
