So Hillary should just step aside despite the fact that she is competitive and the fact that Obama does not have enough delegates to clinch the nomination. Hmmm.......Ther Obama idolatry is widespread.
Sorry Mr. Alter but there are voters in several states who still want there vote counted. But good effort in trying to clear the path for the new messiah. Here in Texas we like to choose or presidents, not have them forced on us by an adoring media and groupies drunk on Obama kool aide.

I THINK THAT IT IS TIME FOR ALL THE PEOPLE TO WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT OBAMA IS THE ANTICHRIST AND IS GOING TO DESTROY THIS COMPANY. I BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO VOTE BUT ALL THIS THAT OBAMA IS DOING TO THE YOUNG VOTE IS HORRIBLE. BABY VOTERS DO NOT REALLY UNDER THE WORKING OF THE GOVERNMENT. IT IS TIME TO START ASKING HIM ABOUT WHAT HE PLANS ON DOING INSTEAD OF JUST ACCEPTING HIS WORD. HILLARY HAS THE RIGHT ANSWERS AND SHE ISNT MAKING EVERYTHING LOOK LIKE THE ANSWERS ARE COMING FROM HEAVEN.

cadigal94- "obama is the antichrist and is going to destroy this country. " interesting. no comment. it's so stupid that people are taking so many cheap shots at these candidates. they have nothing real to complain about so they just make childish comments like this one. anyone else agree with me?

Why does the press ever question anything about Barack Obama? He seems to do know wrong according to the press who love him and do not question him about anything.

    • Posted By: Obama supreme @ 02/25/2008 7:03:30 PM

      That's not true.

Hillary has been wanting and planning to be president since Bill was still in the White House. She made a calculation then that staying married to him would be better for her political career and aspirations to be president. Evidence of how darn bad she wants the presidency, is that she has been willing to stay married to that pant load for all these years. She is beside herself that it has all been for naught. I agree that she won't be able to let herself quit until the last, bitter moment.

This is article is more than ridiculous and it makes me think that the author is trying to convinve readers that Hillary wont make it through. I am a democrat and strongly support Clinton but in case she doesnt make it I will vote for Obama. But I do believe in Clinton and I do believe she will not stop till the votes are in.

All the people who say that they will not support one candidate over the other, and will vote for McCain is a disgrace. You are very individualistic, and are not looking at the whole picture. If McCain is elected into office, due to people with that mindset and self interest, the suffering of the American people should be on your head. The blood of the soldiers who McCain plans to keep in war for another 100 years, will be on your hands, and the tears of the family and children that will lose their loved ones will rain down on you.

All of you Hillary supporters are chiding Obama with 'empty' remarks. None of you back up your comments with facts. Is this not what you are claiming Obama is doing? If so, then by your own claims you should not be commenting.

    • Posted By: readyforchange @ 02/25/2008 7:01:32 PM

THAT'S THE POINT!! He is a blank canvass!! He can "say" whatever he wants, because he's so new to the American political scene!

  • Posted By: justmeinArk @ 02/25/2008 7:00:31 PM

I agree with Bigsexy1. I hope Hillary wins and shows the media She is an overcomer. You would think after all She has endured that would be a well known fact. I am not against a black President , though I do not think of Him comparable to JFK or Martin Luther king. I do not believe He is experienced enough or that enough is known about Him.

  • Posted By: djhumphrey @ 02/25/2008 6:45:28 PM

I think Hillary should quit. I think she is so tired that she is forgetting what she has said as of late. Even using her own husbands words and then trying to black ball Barack Obama. I really do not think she has a chance without trying to make Obama look bad only to have it turn around and find out she is doing the samething. Give it up. For all of our sakes.

A little enlightenment.... that is what a presidential contest is all about. People can say anything.... politians always say what they think the voters want to hear. We all have a big slit in our face called a "mouth", In my experience, actions always speak louder and more tangible than words....Think about it....

as a woman, i am scared to have a female president. i know how my mood swings are and all i have inpact on is my family, she'll have our contry and any other nation that pisses her off. sorry girls you can deny...deny...deny all you want, but you know what i am talking about and i am sure the guys know what i am talking about, she is a little unstable if you ask me.

    • Posted By: 4theboys @ 02/25/2008 6:59:56 PM

I agree with you 100%. I belive that a man should be the head. It is the womans place to stand by help and manipulate man.

Please keep perpetuating these idiotic sexist myths to display the mindset of those who oppose Clinton. Maybe a little biology lesson would be in order, Clinton is 60 her hormones have settled down by now. Do you really believe what you just wrote? Clinton is most rational of all the candidates running.

    • Posted By: Itripsmom003 @ 02/25/2008 6:54:19 PM

Shame on you! I know I manage to care for my family, finances and do anything else that needs doing (and other moms know what I mean, the job for women never ends) all day every day all year. Men can't even get close to handling all the things an average woman does every single day. Are you a man yourself or just a brain washed traitor?

    • Posted By: alittle2theleft @ 02/25/2008 6:47:15 PM

Hmm don't mean to be insulting, but that is the most idiotic sexism comment I have read. BTW be assured that at 60 her hormones have settled down.

  • Posted By: taizy8 @ 02/25/2008 6:59:34 PM

"Perhaps with a woman as president we might avoid testosterone posturing and the inevitable outcome...war." Flahippy, thats a silly argument. Not all men are war mongers, just as not all women are level headed angels. Contrast Margaret Thatcher and Nelson Mandela. BTW Ireland has had two brilliant Women Presidents....Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese...very well qualified "people".

  • Posted By: lhelton48 @ 02/25/2008 6:59:30 PM

I personally favor Hillary for all the obvious reasons, her experience, her desire and ideas to help the middle class and lower income families with affordable healthcare. The only reson someone woul try and talk her into giving up is maybe fear that she actually may win!!

  • Posted By: lillyliberty @ 02/25/2008 6:59:30 PM

So by your brilliant logic: despite the fact that polls show her competitive in Ohio and Texas she should step down.......leaving Obama out there WITHOUT the majority of delegates needed for the nomination. Like all the Obama disciples you want to clear his way: over the backs of voters in several states who still need to have their voices heard. No Mr. Alter, not all of us drank the kool aide.

  • Posted By: sicktodeathofsexism @ 02/24/2008 11:11:52 PM

Thank you, hilltopper08 and coolrepublica---I agree with your sentiments entirely and could not have said it better myself. I am sick of the sexism I have seen demonstrated in this campaign and the gang at MSNBC are some of the worst. I will vote for Clinton, if for no other reason that because of this crap.

    • Posted By: Obama supreme @ 02/25/2008 6:58:56 PM

There is no sexism. I'm a woman and a feminist and I vote for Obama because he is the better candidate. The press has been very easy on Clinton.

When talk of Hillary running for President first began, the first thing that came to my mind was that she would overwhelmingly receive support from females. But then, occassionally I would come accross a female that would've voted for a convicted wife beater before she voted for Hillary...and I just didn't understand that. And even as I read through these posts, there are women against Hillary. Well, this was puzzling to me until one day when I spoke with an older business owner and he made sense of it. He explained that he had employed several women in his companies. Some were office managers, some were clerical workers etc.. But the one thing they had in common was that they were caddy. They did not want to see other women succeed. It really wasn't that long ago that women were given the right to vote. If I were a female, you can bet that I would be on the Hillary bandwagon. In my opinion, regardless of gender...Hillary is the best candidate period.

would you people stop saying this article shows media bias.. it DOESNT... the fact is she is going to have an almost impossible time catching Obama in delegates or popular vote.. and if she doesnt do that, the superdelegates aren't going to go against the "will of the people" and give her the nomination. All Jonathan is saying is that if she drags this out and it drags the party down then her political career and any chance of her ever capturing a nomination in '12 or '16 is out the window. If she steps out now, she can take something like Majority Leader of the Senate and prime herself for the next run.. it's not bias, its just common sense.

This is the worst case scenario for Democrats.. we have two GREAT candidates, but because of this primary they are being torn to pieces by each other to the point that Hillary supporters hate Obama and Obama supporters hate Hillary.. Democrats, for the sake of the country, dont fall into the trap of thinking that EITHER ONE OF THEM would be a bad choicePresident. That sort of thinking will have John McCain being sworn in in January '09

If Obama represents anything "new" he wouldnt be endorsed by the establishment, like, the "old" ted Kennedy.

and i dont want the "new" "fresh" face learning his way through the presidency. SInce when is experience a problem? i would rahter have an experienced surgeon operating on me than the new guy. The race is close, and Obama has no entitlement to anything. Why should she drop out? I missed the memo that said he was ordained anyhting.

and note to Newsweek, report the news, get out of the prediction business and stop trying to affect this race. Report the news. I'm really sick of what this news station and that reporter thinks...REPORT the news!!!!

    • Posted By: everyboby-counts1 @ 02/25/2008 6:33:30 PM

He is entitled to just as much as anyone else. It's about change and I believe we will get that with obama!

      • Posted By: lisalee78 @ 02/25/2008 6:57:55 PM

i believe in proven change! and by the way he is entitled to what everyone else has, not MORE than what she has...hes not perfect.

There is nothing saying he should be handed this. The race is so close, there is no reason for her to.

Besides, when independents and republicans get to pick our democratic nominee, there is a problem.

Regardless, the news should not be biased, and this story is just that. Report the news. end of story
