It is clear that you are nothing but an Obama groupie. Clinton represents my political interest and she should not withdraw. Yes, it appears that Obama has ???touched??? the first time voter??? and the ???independents??? but he does not represent my interest as a long term female democrat. The Democratic Party does or at least use to represent democratic values that are core to its philosophy- ???those values cannot be compromised by reaching across the aisle.??? I am tired of the quasi-religious rhetoric of feel good jump on the ban wagon politics and political correctness??? the future of this country is serious business not an exercise of washing away the sins of our forefathers or white guilt.

It is the "Democrat" Party, not democratic - which is the process that we are engaged in. Don't get the two confused as they are light years away in meaning... They are not the "democratic" candidates, they are "Democrats" - there is nothing "democratic" about Obama or Clinton...

I disagree. Let her fight it out so that, come November, there will be no doubt in any of our minds of who deserves to be on the ticket. May the best candidate win!

I am tired hearing what readers think the AMerican people should do. Polls and writters as yourself need to take a deep breathe and assume you should do our thinking. Obama is from my State and alough he is a likeable person I believe he is a Democratic version of George Bush inexperienced ad not tested. Whatever comes one thing is for sure polls and political pundits like yourself are very destructive

I would love to see them go to the Convention and then have a new person; maybe like Lincoln; appear and be the candidate. What do you think?>

You people ARE A JOKE. You have some NERVES TELLING Hillary to quit. Obama is a BIG FIGHT LIAR. HE HAS SO MANY skeletons in his closet that it will take years to uncover all of them. HOW MUCH IS OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN PAYING YOU TO POST THIS? GET OVER IT. Obama, WILL NOT WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION. OBAMA IS A LOOSER. First, get your facts together about this Monster you and the Media is trying to put in the Whitehouse:

    1. "This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better," he said. "This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed." (endorsement from Farrakhan)

God forbid that we will ever have another Clinton in the White House, She is cold, calculating, and a Crook to boot. I am not a republican, but the idea of Hillary being elected sends cold chills down my spine, God Bless America and keep the Clintons out of the White House!

Gone are the days when newspaper reported the news, and not created it. Leave the decisions to the voting public. The newspapers, nowadays, seem to be more interested in distributing their opinions rather than reporting on the opinions of the voting public. I, for one, will vote for McCain, even though I am a registered demoract. Eight years of inexperience is enought... why should I put myself, and the country through four more... Come on people, get real A great president is not someone who can talk the talk, but someone who can walk the walk. What has Obama done for you lately.... or ever?

I LOVE Hillary! She makes feel all warm and fuzzy iside. She loves HER country so much that she is willing to scarifice her precious time to run it just for us. Thank God/Allah/Buddha (did I forget any...I don't want to offend anyone) she is here. She wants to take care of us for our own good. And if anyone disagrees with her it is because they are not as smart and caring and understanding as her. Peace people (except for Republicans who I hate like the pond scum they come from and hope to die).

I think Obama is a nice guy, but come on! How will he make Congress jump on the bandwagon? Did he take over the Senate with his charm and I just missed it? Give me a break! He is Jimmy Carter all over again; a great guy with ideas and no clue. Hillary will know how to work the system and we really need that now. The sexist media is making me sick; the women who are turning on their own make me sicker. If we stuck together like the men do, sisters, we would be in charge and the world would be in better shape.

Advice from people who never admired Hillary is hollow. I say go through the system and if the end comes then handle it gracefully. Those who hate her may never see what I see, but history will show what an intelligent woman she has been. If the Democrats lose this year after what we have put up wilh under Bush then the Obama folks are to blame.

There is one major advantage the democratic party has over the Republicans right now. McCain is a "war" person and has gone as far as admitting that he isn't that proficient on economical issues. Whether it's Barack or Hillary, both are savvy in economical issues. I know people have listened to a lot of the "experience" rhetoric, however, taking a gander at Barack's life history, he's got substantial experience in economical issues. Even as much as to say it is HIGHLY competitive OR better than Hillary Clinton! What it comes down to is, as long as we are facing a recession, McCain as the only Republican in the Republican party will be very weak in this area. Barack OR Hillary can take him in this area. As far as the war, I rest my case. Exit polls has already demonstrated that the average American sees the war as being second in priorty against our current economical situation.

I love Hillary. She makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She loves her country so much she will sacrifice all her time to run it for our own good. She is not running for President for ambitious reasons. Thank God/Allah/Buddha (did I forget any...I don't want to offend anyone) Hillary is here for us because she is so smart. She KNOWS what is good for us and if someone does not like it is because they are NOT as smart and caring and understanding as her.

You need to substitue Barrack Huessin Obama for "Hillary" and you will be a typical Democrat Groupie. Ah, Obama the sound of his wonderful name and speeches of rainbows, little furry creatures and love........

I am tired of Hillary's whining everyday. She says she has experience, but I've been watching since day one, and she has not shown what it takes to be Commander in Chief. Tearing one another down, and whining in my opinion shows poor leadership.

  • Posted By: mweifers @ 02/25/2008 6:42:38 PM

Why should someone who felt she was owed the Presidency fight a losing cause? Because she is not smart enough to put together a winning primary strategy and can't realize that the public and time has passed her by. Put it all together and you have a person who is out of touch with reality. Certainly, not someone who should be running the country.

Regarding Hillary Clinton; I respect what she's trying to accomplish as well as how far she has come, thus far. But, personally, i feel that any person running for the presidency; male, female, black, white, hispanic or asian, would be better qualified if s/he had successful military experience, as well as a more stable political and social background; re: Clinton's seeming wishy-washy stance on how to handle the Iraqi front of these current conflicts as well as her lack of tenure in a political seat.

I feel that she would maintain a degree of respect in the public eye and also be perceived as showing respect to her competitor (Obama) by supporting him in a victory for their party.

This is merely an opinion from a pawn in this game of politics. Hopefully, this throws out a different point of view for others.

Pardon my ignorance, but when did Barack Obama do any military service?? Was this while he was Harvard? Sorry your argument is as bad as this editorial.

  • Posted By: M.G. @ 02/25/2008 6:42:16 PM

NO she should not bow out now just because some people and online and local radio news services believe she should. She should go all the way and knowing what a classy woman she is she will have the intelligence and dedication to make it to the finish line, wherever and whenever that may be. So she may not get the nomination or win if she does, at least she can say at the end of the day she stayed the course. believe this is somSeSenator Clinti

SEnator Clionton should be given more respect as should her opponets

As a Canadian. It makes no difference to me whether Obama or Clinton wins. I do find it interesting however that voters looking fo change would turn to Hiliary. Nothing in her past suggests that she would be any different than Bill or any other past president. I also actually think her past experience works against her since she never promoted change before or did anything particularly different than her predecessors. I believe Obama's inexperience actually works in his favour since he is more likely to look at things with a fresh set of eyes. He will have no preconcieved notions of how it must be done.

Amen! She has run out of faces. The crying face didn't work twice-only once. The nice loving face didn't do it either and the bad, mad face will bring her all the way down. Bow out with a little dignity and be done with it. Maybe next decade??
