Why do people think that polls mean ANYTHING? In the New Hampshire primary journalists reported that Obama was going to win by 12%. Well if you paid attention, that wasn't the case. It's blatantly obvious that these newscasters and "journalists" report on extremely biased measures. The only consistency they have in their reporting is their hating the Clintons. By delivering these polls, they know what they're doing; the American people are very fickle, they'll vote for whoever someone tells them to. If a poll says Obama will win, the people will think he's more electable, and go out and vote for him. You may think that people out there really are genuine in who they vote for, but I've worked for a campaign...I've seen it first-hand. One little survey or poll can sway a vote to another side. It's really sad. Furthermore, these conspiracy theories that Obama is linked to big oil companies and that the Middle East "will be the big winner" are bullshit. It's not because of his race that he's not the right candidate, it's because we know nothing about him, he's done nothing of value for the United States (he has no record of any results), and right now foreign policy is the most important thing for our country. Everyone hates us. We are obnoxious and meddling and we go where we don't belong. Obama has absolutely no foreign policy experience, and therefore there is no assurance that we will be able to restore our place in the world. Also, let's not vote because "she's a woman" or because "he's black." Let's be mature and vote for who can really cause change..not just "HOPE" for it. Hoping for change will not help our crisis. Doing something about it will.

    Are you kidding?

This idea that Mr. Obama has "no track record" or "no experience" is, in my opinion, silly. At 46 years old, he has had successful and unsuccessful runs in life, whether as a legislator, senator, community organizer, attorney and law school professor. If, as is the case with most critics, the reference is made to "experience in Washington", I think someone with common sense and experience in other areas of life (such as business experience, or law experience, etc) is precisely what we need. FDR had little foreign policy experience when he campaigned for president, yet he inherited a much more dangerous world than today's. The founding fathers created a government of the people, not of the carreer politicians.

WHY IS IT THAT HILIARY IS OUT BEFORE AMERICA CAN EVEN GET TO THE POLES? WE REALLY HAVE NO SAY SO IN THIS PLACE WE LOVE

Some foolish poster has suggested that Hillary Rodom Clinton is a woman of grace- I say HOGWASH!
Hillary is anything but graceful. She rants, and screams and pouts and flip-flops and behaves as though she has lost her marbles. Perhaps Clinton supporters are delusional.
The fact is that she and her husband are yesterday's news and she is finished.
The publisher of this article is on the mark and is reporting what is fact. Good job, and don't worry about
your subscriber base. You and Newseek are doing a fine job.

I THINK SHE NEEDS TO STICK AROUND, I AM NOT VOTING FOR NEITHER DEM. BUT SHE IS BETTER THAN OBAMA. I THINK OBAMA IS ANTI-AMERICAN AND STILL PRACTICES HIS MUSLIUM BACK GROUND. I AM REPUBLICAN AND THATS THE WAY I WILL ALWAYS VOTE. I THINK OBAMA IS BAD FOR THE UNITED STATES, IN HIS OFFICE ON THE WALL HE HAS A CUBAN FLAG, I AM TELLING YOU THIS MAN IS NOT WHAT HE SEEMS. AND NO WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME INSIDE, NO ONE KNOWS THE OTHERS TRUE HEART.

It would be a gift to the voting public if Hillary would withdraw with grace. It's interesting to see the battle but we don't need any more blood drawn within the Democrat Party. Obama may be the balm the U. S. needs, Clinton is not.

Jonathan must live in an "Alter"-nate universe if he thinks Hillary will quit. Why should she ?
She is the best and most qualifed candidate that the Dems have, and unlike her opponent, she has the substance, not just the style, to lead this country to where Obama can only " hope "and dream about.

Yes, the current polls are in Obama's favor, but I, for one, still have faith that the American voters will recognize Obama's campaign as being one of marketing a product that doesn't even exist. Motivation is a wonderful thing, but without any concrete direction or original ideas of his own, Obama will lead us nowhere SLOW.

In 2007 Obama's own wife Michelle ,spoke publicly about her husband, and this is from a direct transcript:

''And then there's the Barack Obama that lives with me in my house, and that guy's a little less impressive. For some reason this guy still can't manage to put the butter up when he makes toast, secure the bread so that it doesn't get stale, and his 5-year-old is still better at making the bed than he is.''

She also said that the TV version of Barack Obama sounded really interesting and that she'd "like to meet him sometime."

With National Security high on the list of campaign issues, I don't understand supporting a candidate that cna't even secure a loaf of bread.

Has the American public grown so used to the thinly veiled "Sneer & Veneer" cover-up tactics of the current administartion that we do not even recognize it in a new candidate ??

Hillary, in contrast has taken on the big drug companies who are gouging the American public once before, causing them to spend 100 MILLION dollars to defeat her efforts ...AS THE FIRST LADY !

As President, she will have the power and clout to finish what she started for our sick children, veterans, parents, and us and work her determined and focused way, down the long list of issues that face us as a Nation.

So the only cure for this Obama deliirum,( that seems to be spreading by word of mouth,)
is a good dose of reality and facts that should cause any informed voter to welcome an incurable case of
"BARACK-NAPHOBIA" : a sobering fear of electing an unqualified and inexperieced President..

Barack Hussein Obama needs to get out of this race. He has no place in this election. How can the people of the United States elect a Muslim man who refuses to put his hand over his heart during the American National Anthem. And this is your next President??? Come on people, get serious. Stop listening to the bull this man is dishing. Obama talks a good game but has no has no real idea how he can actually implement anything he's saying. Clinton is action oriented and can get the job done. Don't be baffled by the bull of Obama!!!

SO TRUE GO HOME OBAMABINLADEN. YOU HATE AMERICA SO MUCH YOU ARE ASHAMED TO PUT YOUR HAND OVER YOUR HEART OR SALUTE THE FLAG.YOUR WIFE IS ALSO ASHAMED TO BE AMERICAN.SO GO TO WHEREVER IT IS YOU CALL HOME AND CAN BE TRULY PATRIOTIC.

I believe that Hillary has proven that she can handle anything the presidency has to offer since she has fought a lopsided, uphill, discriminatory battle against the press, as well as the deligates she is running against. Shame on all of you.

Obama is a great man, no doubt. But, I have serious concerns over the viral Internet campaigning for and sweeping mindless devotion to Obama. It feels to me like this campaign has the potential of being manipulated worldwide by Internet access to our government elections, as well as, an Internet wildfire fueled by a sea of YouTube 'Obama Girl' video series enthusiasts.

Any phenomena so sweeping is - [someone else used the word creepy]- creepy, and needs a reality pause and check.

I like Hillary, she brings the country together in the middle of the two other choices. Is she being discounted because she is a woman?

You write with jealousy of Senator Obama and fear of the Age of Electronics and his campaigns mastery of the Future and this form of communication. File your taxes online and breath deeply. You'll Learn To Like It, then Live It.

I must have missed it again! I thought what Jonathan Alter was trying to say was that in lieu of what has happened in the past three weeks, the only chance to preserve the Democratic Party's chance of winning is for her to quit before any more harm is done. Who would believe her backing Obama now, after all the mud slinging, mean spirited comments she, her husband, and her staff have made. Come on people! Sit back and take a honest look at her campaign, and ask yourself if that is truly the person (black or white, male or female, straight or gay, etc.) that you would want representing you to the world?

Obama voted for Cheney's energy bill in 2005. Clinton voted against it.

Obama's 2007 League of Conservation Voters report came out this week. Obama's score is really low at 67.

Obama's largest contributors to his campaign are executives of a nuclear power company in Illinois.

No wonder Kucinich laughed at Obama during a debate when Obama accused Clinton of being tied to special interests. I didn't know why he was laughing. Now I understand.

Alter is a woman hater, and seriously he needs to get over his love affair with the Empty Suit. Newsweek and MSNBC particularly hate, hate Hillary and are extremely biased for Obama. They have lost all sense of journalism as journalism. They wouldn't know real journalism if it hit them in the butt. It's not only women who have stopped buying Newsweek, but Hillary supporters of both sexes, all races, ages, and ethnic background. Bill has said how the media has treated Hillary, and he's right. Actually, the one who SHOULD QUIT is the Empty Suit himself, Barack Obama for being WAY UNDERQUALIFIED to even run for president.

I agree with the posting that states if Hilary steps down McCain will win. Obama does not have the experience to be a govenor much less the president. In this time of many woes this country needs a presient who has the experience to lead. We just had eight years of a president without the knowledge to lead I don't think this country can take four more years without leadership.

BUBBLES: What is his idea of change. We have never heard it, when ver he is asked he dances around the question. We haven't gotten a straight answer from him in the last 3 debates. I agree with Joe M. the media needs to stop calling the election with 2% of the polls reporting, its crazy.
