Hillary is a "woman"...I never thought that that would be a factor, but it has been. She has actual solutions to our economic/health problems...I have yet to hear anything absolute from our "someday President" Obama...a talented speaker (many have been, like Jimmy
Carter, with no real affect)...SHE CAN GET IT DONE! We need her desperately...the press has been harder on her: She can't be too tough...because then she is a "B......", she can't be too soft, because then she is a WOMAN!!! She reflects the struggle many of us face in society today...but her heart is true...she wants to save this country. Obama will be a lame duck president (IF HE WINS AGAINST MCCAIN, WHOM I WILL VOTE FOR) for at least four precious years while many more die in Iraq...AMERICA WAKE UP...THE CHANGE IS IN THE PLANNING...VOTE FOR HILLARY AND SAVE OUR COUNTRY...OBAMA WE WILL VOTE YOU IN EIGHT YEARS FROM NOW...I promise you my vote then!

There are still alot of people out here who wish Hillary would be President, since she's the only one "man" enough to do the best job. If Obama was really smart, he would be her Vice President and then work his way up to President.

Number 1, before you post something - make sure you know how to spell. Number 2 - thank you pattyg, you are correct. Number 3 - There are 5 candidates. If you are against the war, every single one has voted to fund it and to go into Iran EXCEPT Ron Paul. If any one of you had done your research you would know this. If you can't explain your candidates stance on every single issue, then you have no business defending them.

Hillary Clinton should not quit the race!
If she did I would not vote for Barack Obama He is not what this country needs
We need Clinton she is knowledgeable and experience
And I'm also very disapointed how Obama Disrespected the flag and US Anthem
That should be a red flag
Hillary is our hope for America Obama is a fantastic preacher with no experience!

This is an election not a coronation. Let the voters and the party decide, the race is still close.

    • Posted By: midnight05 @ 02/23/2008 4:11:04 PM

This election should be about Bush and the total screwup of the last seven plus years of this nation's history and not about whether it's Barack or Hillary. Whomever can make the point clearer is the one we ought to be rooting for. Right now, it's Obama who's making the case but Hillar is clearer about what the case actually is. Being a Democrat means having a really good choice between candidates and not having to hold my nose.

      • Posted By: BRogers08 @ 02/25/2008 5:45:12 PM

Do you even understand the concept of the primary elections? Even if Obama and Hillary quit sniping at each other and focused on Bush, what good would that do? The last time I checked, the president is limited to two terms in office by the Constitution. Since Bush is in his second term, I'm quite certian he won't be running for re-election in November. Get a clue.

    RE: robert.macfarlane

You are a totally ignorant ranting fool. I hate to use those terms, but that's what you sound like. I'll tell you who Obama is: he is the birth child of America. He is the the bridge between white and black; His mother is white and his father is African. He is the bridge between a blemished past and a hopeful future. Hence he is the son of a Southern Slave Master's decendent, and the son of the African Slave. He is what America hopes to be united as one. Our country has a checkered past true, but we can change that, we can rebuild the legacy of America. What we stand for now is diveristy and that's what he represents, across age, race, and social economic barries. It's really not "who" he is, but what he represents. Anyone with a policatical background with "experience" can run for president, but what they lack and what he has is "vision". You can't work for that. Hillary is an amazing woman and I commend her strength, but right now she doesn't have what the American people are looking for. We need something new, fresh, untainted; A visionary with passion, purpose, and hope. We need unity. A wise man once said, A house divided against itself can not stand. We need to unite and work together to rebuild this country, and leave a legacy for our children that we all can be proud of. Obama may not be the person to fully complete that task, but he will be the flame that ignites the heart of the American people to see it through to the end. God Bless America, God Bless Obama.

Billary has run a dirty campaign. One cannot see the facts, that she herslef keeps trumpeting because of all the dirt she keeps slinging. I am and was a huuge suypporter of Bill Clinton, and started out being a massive supporter of Hillary, but her dirty campaign tactics, flip flop stances on everything and holier than thow atitude is very very irritating. Moreover, her trumpet issue of healthcare actually does involve forcing healthcare on people who cannot afford it. She would garnish wages for her universal plan thus resulting in families not being able to pay for school, food, gas and alot more. Obama's plan seems to exercise that most basic of human rights, CHOICE. At what point in time are we forgetting this? ANd most importantly, both camps in their respective bids are polarising support so much that voters for each are adopting an all or nothing view. so if one wins, all the supporters for the other are pretty much voting for someone else, or not voting. This is a shame and unfortunately completely defeating the system. If these two are the only real hope we have, it's sad that neither can see this...

Why does everyone think the polls mean ANYTHING? You aren't told who is being polled, how many are being polled, and the New Hampshire primary was proof that poll results do not equate results. The media hates Hillary, we can see that clearly from their day-to-day biased representation of the candidates. Journalists put up those polls knowing that the people are fickle...they'll vote for who they think will win, and those bogus polls will push them to do it. Journalists have forgotten what it is to be real news-driven people. They've really just become critics. Newsflash: no one cares who you like, report the facts.

Newsweek -- shame on you!! Obama and Clinton are essentially equal in delegates at this point, and Clinton is leading if you count Florida and Michigan. I have no idea why anyone would suggest that she should drop out at this point.

The media has been biased against Clinton for months now, and have called for her to withdraw since Iowa. Is this really what the role of the media should be in a democracy? I'm not sure why the media is so anti-Clinton, but I suggest that you all read the Robert Samuelson article about Obama ("The Obama Delusion") that's in this week's Newsweek edition. http://www.newsweek.com/id/113672

At some point, the rest of the media needs to wake up from it's Obama stupor and report this election fairly.

If Hillary wants to protect her reputation as a respected politician? I almost think she should exit the race. She is becoming too bitter and mean-spirited. Merely a distraction and evidence that she is spoiled/used to getting her way because her last name is still Clinton. All said IMHO, not out of some vindictiveness on my part. She is clearly not the quality candidate everyone expected her to be. She wants the position, but has proven herself an embarrassment through her abrasive comments alone.

Comment: The following is a quote from Barack Obama's Dreams from my Father. If that doesn't reveal an angry person, I don't know what does!! "We were always playing on the white man's court...by the white man's rules....If the principal, or the coach, or a teacher...wanted to spit in your face, he could, because he had the power and you didn't...The only thing you could choose was withdrawal into a smaller and smaller coil of rage."

Again, that was Obama's feelings a long time ago when he experienced them. He is now very comfortable with whites -- and I'm sure he won't let the Clinton's nastiness spoil that.

  • Posted By: thop111 @ 02/25/2008 5:43:33 PM

You people are killing me. How can you say you don't like Hillary or Obama as a person. Do you personally know them? I can see that you disagree with there political view, but to say they are bad or evil people is wrong. These two have gave a life time of public sevice. How can you bash Hillary for bashing Obama, when you do not hold your self to the same standards. Just because I am going to Vote for Obama, does't mean I dislike Hillary as a person.

  • Posted By: Storm915 @ 02/25/2008 5:42:47 PM

Why should she step down now. She is only trailing by a little over 100 delegates with more Primaries coming along. I think all states should have a voice on who they want to vote for, not have someone foisted down their throats. Btw, I know that Newsweek is up Obama's butt, but lets be a little less biased shall we.

salinasrj, if you honestly think that we will see any major changes in policy - other than supreme court justice nominations - if a Democrat is elected, you are sadly misguided. Obama or Hillary, it makes little difference.

I do find it interesting that we have moved to a place where it is infinitely more palatable to have a black man as president but not a woman,. I wonder what that says about us as a country.

Shame on you, Mr. Alter. You are the reason that we are even talking about Osama Obama. Our kids gave up their lifes to get rid of one Hussein that we can have another Hussein. People are crazy, they don't see that Osama is empty. I'm going with McCain and It's sad to say that I've never vote for a republican but Osama makes me sick. Go McCain, I hope democrats are going to loose and it's still better that to loose our good old USA
