Condaleeza Rice running for president or even having a chance of winning....NOT IN HELL. You might as well have Bush stay in office. I'm pretty sure if a Democrat wins it will change something about how screwed up the economy and especially the War in Iraq stands.

I agree that she should pull out if she doesnt win by a landslide in both Texas and Ohio. But I feel she has already ruined her reputation in a way that people wont soon forget (due to the dirtiest of campaign tactics: playing the race card, playing the Muslim card, playing the plagiarism card, playing the slumlord ties card, etc,etc,etc.). She would help herself a little by pulling out Wednesday, March 5th.

    You... Mister... ARE A SCUMBAG!!!!

  • Posted By: TruthTeller1989 @ 02/25/2008 5:35:52 PM

Ms. Clinton should NOT drop out of the race! I, like many democrats, am counting on her to represent my values and needs, as well as get the country back on track. Furthermore I, like many democrats, will vote for a republican before supporting "pie in the sky" Obama. Stay the course, Hilary!!!!

I respectfully disagree. One cannot perfectly predict that Senator Obama might run into some problems which could hurt his nomination chances. If Senator Clinton leaves the race, and something comes up, I see the Al Gore could be drafted as the Democratic nominee to save the Democratic party from itself. In the end it is Senator Clinton's decision.

Sure seems like everyone wants to once again force a powerful and brilliant woman to submit. Why should she back out of her presidential bid when she is clearly what is best for this country? I didn't hear any calls from the Obama obsessed media for him to back out when he was behind in the delegate count. I long for the day when the media treats female candidates the same as their male counterparts!

I completely disagree. It has nothing to do with her being a woman. At first, in fact, the media assumed she would be the nominee. It's just that people have gotten to know Obama and see that he is the better candidate. This is serious business. We can't electe a president simply because we think it's a good time to have a woman candidate -- or a black candidate -- we have to elect the most intelligent person, the person best at getting people to work productively for the good for all of us . A person with vision, a willingness to learn and a background of organizing. That's Obama.

For Hillary to quit now is to deny the voters the choice to vote. Your suggestion is as ridiculous as telling Obama to declare himself the winner right now (however much he want to be!).

The election should be determined by the voters, not the biased by political pundits like Mr Alter, trying to subtley convince rather than inform the voter. Unforthunately, this election has devolved into a sporting event, and in sports sexism is much more tolerated than racism.

  • Posted By: alaflemi @ 02/25/2008 5:34:38 PM

The last posting about racism has no basis. Like many liberal democrats before him, Obama believes it's the thought that counts, not the action. He hasn't elaborated on anything he's promised so far. Americans need action not promises.

Hilary Clinton should not quit the race, she should go all the way this is her time, she speak better than Obama because she is knowledgeable, experience and dipolimatic where Obama even come close. How he gotten this far is luck, but luck also runs out. Obama can not win against McClain, but Mrs Clinton can.

Listen to hillary, it is amazing how she can change like the wind to try and draw favor to her campaign.
It just really leaves everyone wondering what she really stands for.

Obama needs to be our next President. He will be a great leader. Experience doesn't matter, we need CHANGE! Those with experience (Clinton and McCain) would put us back in the same spot we have been the last 8 years.

If Senator Obama were in Senator Clintons position, right now, 10 straight Loses and a clear voter man date, I think he would get out now with grace.
In honesty, right now, Senator Clinton is only dividing Our Country, and our party.

  • Posted By: Grande.com @ 02/25/2008 5:33:40 PM

Mr. Alter. You will get your wish for a brokered convention. Ms. Clinton has the balls and ego of her husband. She will never quit and will win the nomination in a brokered convention. McCain will beat either one. The Clinton baggage and Obama's past will defeat them both.

Baloney! This is one of the stupidest articles I have ever read. Seriously, I'm not even a Hillary supporter, but I think she still has a chance. Having a choice is what America is all about and I think every state needs to have a chance to give their imput. If Hillary was afraid of being 'embarrassed' she would have never run for president in the first place. This article is obviously just another Obama vehicle.

This is the best campaign that the Republican Party can run. Sit back and enjoy the inter-party slaughter. They'll make themselves look like childish idiots as they rip into each other. As an independant, this makes me want to vote Republican. There is no squabbling there and the only way for the Democrats to pick themselves up is to unite. That won't happen as they're both focused on the brass ring, not the big picture.. Welcome to another four years of Republican government! I like the special touch of both campaigns releasing smear photos today (the apex of juvenile fear mongering!)

  • Posted By: peterprank @ 02/25/2008 5:33:21 PM

so what experience did our current president have that everyone is concerned about Obama's experience? hey, at least the man can talk and speak English! Younger generation of Americans would like Obama to lead this country. I thought Clinton was post menopausal, but i guess i was wrong.......

First, get your facts together about this Monster you and the Media is trying to put in the Whitehouse:

If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed." (endorsement from Farrakhan)

Hillary is Hope less. When she lets us glimpse beyond her raving and ranting public persona she become less Presidential. Unfortunately for her, her current rants also make her less Presidential. She can't win no matter what she does.
