Hillary is the future. Alter is an idiot and this Democrat refuses to ever vote for Obama.
Hillary is the future. Alter is an idiot and this Democrat refuses to ever vote for Obama.
God bless the presidential election this year, there is an unbelievable turnout to vote and interest, and I think due to Barrack Obama, he has given people hope, makes people feel included, and just as good instead of looked down up on, he's brought new faith to america like Kennedy, yes he died in his 3rd year in office, but that is the past,we can't live in it, for If we do then It becomes our future. He has touched America ,of all ages,
The young old, rich, poor, democrat & republican even (obamicans) lol kinda cute huh?
And now Hillary I think Is basically upset because he is beating her, she thought she had this in the bag and she is being proven It's not that easy!so now she must nit pick him, try to find flaws with whatever she can.
And I think most people see Hillary and think we dont want Bill back in the Whitehose again!
Hillary must perservere. If Obama is elected, this country will descend into chaos and corruption within weeks.
!You've got to be kidding! Why the hell should she exit "gracefully"? As a woman she has had to fight for her rightful place in politics as well as in the public eye. Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton are both qualified candidates - however, I think we (the voting population) need to decide. I am tired of hearing this crap from "unbiased" people -(media/FOX) know its man's world - but some of us would like to see a change and believe Hillary is the woman to do it. She is quailifed and has had a solid plan that makes sense! And I for one would like to see it be a fair race!
Welcome America's first half-black, and allegedly, half gay presidential candidate. He is also half white, but he never talks about that, does he?
longlivehst...I've been saying that same thing!
I'm very nerverous about Obama becoming the parties canidate, so much so that I would vote for McCain even though the Bush era has been so painfull for all of America. Obama has no track record and the world our next President faces requires experience that he just doesn't have. I still favor Hillary because she has the best possibe councilor in Bill. I would be fine with Obama as VP and stepping in in eight years, but not now.
All of the Inter-party fighting and cheap shots is reprehensible, especially if you are still making this a race or sex issue. Our country needs one of these two great candidates to step into the Whitehouse for the next eight years, and hopefully the other will be there for the next eight years after that. I have been an Obama supporter since his keynote address at The Democratic National Convention in ???04, and I plan on trying to make it out to Denver in August. Although I hope to be waiving an Obama ???08 sign I would be equally as proud to hold up a Clinton ???08 sign. That being said get out and vote for who you think is best not who I think or who anyone else thinks, but don???t take the cheap shots at the other candidates and especially on the columnist from Newsweek it is an opinion not fact.
I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The simple fact that everyone is posting on this article is a testament to the idea that we all matter in this race for president. I also believe that Mr. Atler has the right to his own opinion, granted he has the ability to let his opinion known to a vast array of people. I think Hillary is basically a power monger. She is only out to feed her own ego, her name is more important to her than the USA is
The thing is I love Barack. I wanted him to win. I wanted to see the black man win. But I have not heard anything from him to get my vote other than a chant for change. Well let's be honest to change Washington you have to change the whole system that you have in place now...I want to see a plan for that. He is right he gives a great speach. he had become arrogant and the chant of change and hope is not keeping me any longer tell me what you are going to do and how.
Honestly, it is Hillary's decision whether or not to exit now or later. It amazes me how even today there are those who suffer from tunnel vision. This Presidential Election should not be about a individuals ethnic background or gender. However, clearly for some it is. No one individual possess the answers to the problems that plague America today. It is my sincere hope that together the winner of the Democratic nomination can and will devise stragedy to start unraveling the mess that has been created over several presidencies. Neither Clinton or Obama has all the answers alone. The difference is the Obama platform is one of including everyone to take part in the responsibility of taking our nation to greater heights. Yet Clinton would rather spend time degrading Obama on matters that will not matter to anyone in six months. I support Obama not for any other reason except that he inspires that which this country has lacked for years, hope. kdowdy
Hilary! Graceful! She doesn't have a graceful bone in her body. Both her and the spouse are like trained dogs whose raw, animal instincts surface when they are trapped. She will gecome a bully, with Rosie O'Donnell as her her guide. Oh yeah, if was Obama, I would have the Secret Service watch out for the Clinton's. They will stop at nothing and for no one to get what they want.
Can You imagine her as president. The Middle east hates us now. They have no respect for woman in power. The U.S. would be a huge target. Hilary's only move would be to defer to her husband for advise. But unless he can pull his pants up in time, we will be destined to the same plight as her campaign. GOD Help us. Oh I am sorry. I think Hilary would have a problem with HIM too. Yes I said HIM
Since when did the media get to decide who gets to be President? Yet, the media is trying to determine the course of the election. Shame on you, Newsweek! Shame on you, Jonathan Alter!
If Obama wins the nomination, I'm writing in Clinton. This race is much too close for anyone to say that Obama is the "clear winner".
You are assuming that she has class and grace based on the debate ending. You are forgetting the very next day she went on a rampage. She has grown increasingly desperate. The ending of the debate was not genuine. It was scripted to the T. She has no class and no grace and she is proving that to be true time and time again. What she should be concerned about is people re-electing her in New York !
Welcome America's first half-black, and allegedly, half gay presidential candidate. He is also half white, but he never talks about that, does he?
Comment: Ah yes...............Obama. Say it with me....Obama. The name rolls off the tongue. OOOOOOOhammmmma. Mr. Obama and his beautiful speeches of rainbows, little rabbits running about, flower, lots and lots of pretty flowers AND ALL PART of his idealistic, socialist utopia.
Oh brave new world! What a utopia it will be as long as Obama speaks to me. Pass me a Soma before I actually validate his words. I don't want to think....................but just dream of Obama's and his promise of utopia.
No Hillary supporters willing to try and state her accomplishments? Come on people, if she's so qualified, it shouldn't be that hard...
This past weekend the opening SNL skit parodied the debate in Austin, while remarking on the unabashed attachment of the media to Senator Obama's campaign. I have been volunteering for the Clinton campaign since just after the New Hampshire Primary, and through hundreds of calls have spoken with many Clinton supporters who would never support Barack or would support McCain. As long as it is possible she should never quit.
The main problem with Hillary right now is that she is going so inexplicably negative that women like me [who used to support her] are getting put off by her inane tactics. She tried to be gracious during last weeks debate, she tried, then she had to put her two cents in about the plagiarism charge [obtuse] and the entire crowd booed her.
Hillary spoke out of the corner of her mouth when she said, "I am honored to be sitting next to Mr. Barack Obama" not 12 hours later she was slinging mud in his face. What does that tell us women who are voting on Tuesday? It tells me that the person I want running for president should be able to do it with a clean slate, and not by using rovian tactics to win this election. Time and again Clinton has shot herself in the foot by going negative, so what does she do now? Goes Negative! What is she thinking?
I feel terrible for Hillary Clinton, as a woman who supported her through thick and think I wish she had had the dignity to play fair. He constant negativity has made me take a long hard look at the other candidate - and the more I learn about Barack Obama the more I truly see a man who can lead this country out of the hole we dug for ourselves in the world.
For the first time in my 47 years on this earth I donated my hard earned money to a political campaign. I gave a matching gift to Obama. I haver never done that before in my life.
I agree whole heartedly that Clinton should step down and give our party, the democratic party, a chance to win this year by backing Obama. Is he young? Yes. Does he have executive experience? No? Does Hillary? No. The Obama hype is something fabricated by the media, I am not a woman to get hyped, I am a woman who sees a clear, unmistakable choice in this campaign - either McCain, or Obama. And I sure as hell do not want to vote another republican into office again. My support is fully behind Barack Obama. I'll be volunteering for his campaign and will be casting my vote for him in Cincinnati on Tuesday. I hope and pray more women will do the same!
As far as I am concerned, Hillary is the next President. Should the masses of idiots continue supporting Obama until the point that he is the Democratic candidate, then this Democrat will be voting Republican. No more arguments or attempting to convince the snowed that they are being brainwashed. My mind is made up as is the minds of many other Democrats. Obama will never be President in 2008. Mark my words, As to this idiot reporter calling for Senator Clinton to drop out of the race, he should go back to writing obituaries because his vision is dead.
Wow - I guess that accocding to Jonathan Alter, when the going gets tough, no matter what you believe, you put your tail between your legs and run away! Is this how you live your life Jonathan? I believe that we are Americans are a lot stronger than Jonathan Alter gives us credit for and we love a good debate and argument about the future of this country, even if a resolution to the argument extends past phony, press established deadlines that express their shallow rushed judgements.
