I am an independent. The article is very stupid. Please let me know what Obama has done to bring any meaningful change in Chicago when he was a state sentor. Come on! Use you head, not just post your head picture here!

I guess I should've read a few more comments before targeting True American. Granted, he's still an idiot...but there are a lot of posts I'd like to comment on. Too bad I don't have the time to insult all of you. College papers to write, future presidencies to win. You know how it is.

Who cares? No matter which one wins , Osama or #2 choice to Monica, they will both kiss and makeup, say how great the winner is, hug for the liberal media to see, photograph and write about forever and then immediately start talking trash about the Republican party which has conducted itself above board, without name calling and/or photos on the internet thus far. Just goes to show you the class of people you are dealing with here.

The comments of the press concerning the Democratic nomination only illustrate the durability of our deeply held predjudices. Obviously, Mr. Alter would rather welcome the wet-behind-the-ears Obama into the Old Boys club, than give it up for a woman. To echo and earlier comment--what an idiot!

What a terrible headline, What a terrible article.
It's so much better to finish the race than to just give up.
I would never let my children give up just because a challenge is hard.
    This is so UnAmerican!
Hey, did the NY Giants give up, NOOO

Hillary is going down so big on March 4th. I can hardly contain myself. She will lose because she is unelectable. LKet me say that again: UNELECTABLE. She is by far the most divisive politician out there. It's also becoming quite clear that the Clinton 'machine' isn't what it was cracked up to be. She would lose the popular vote by 10+ point bringing independents, republicans, new independents, new republicans, and a few Democrats out to the booth en mass to pull the lever against her. The news media know this that's why they've turned against her. At least Obama has a decent shot at winning. Provided they play their cards as smartly as they have with this current campaign. Hellory is going down and I'm going to be drunk for a week. I am having such a great time following her downfall. I don't think I've ever been happier!!!!!!!!! Thank you GEEAAYYYZUHS!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the same way. She has been so nasty, but gets away with it. I don't at all agree that the media has been soft on Obama -- at least not for at least the last month or so. Hilliary is getting all the breaks. The media keeps bringing up her silly phrase that he "lifted whole passages" from someone -- even though the truth is he used a couple of sentences, and writes a bigger percentage of his own speeches than other candidates. He is obviously very bright, but just as important, he knows how to surround himself with bright people. He learns quickly, and is ready to serve. His ideas are solid. Hillary is just getting nasty at this point. It has nothing to do with sexism. It would be ridiculous to vote for her simply because she's a female-- Obama is a male who happens to have a better understand and vision for the country than she does. Period.

Jonathan Alter is is Newsweek's equivalent to Rush Limbaugh. "He" dreams of a brokered convention - what are his dreams for America? Don't forget Mr. Alter has one thing in common with Senator Obama...He's a man and his gender bias is showing. It's Mr. Alter''s kind of coverage of the Clinton campaign that have many people questioning where did the unbiased press disappear to in this Presidential Primary? My advice to everyone is to quit listening to the "talking heads" and do what is best for your country. Let's hope that in the next debate in Ohio Mr. Obama gets into more detail and less with the "I'll reach across the isle and work with the Republicans" speech. How many times have we heard that in campaigns across America? The Republicans will give him as hard a time as they possibly can - that is why we have a two party system. Mr. Obama has a big learning curve ahead of him and we have no benchmarks to gauge what kind of President he will make. Remember, words without action or experience are nothing more than words.

Yes, Hilary's whiny attacks on Obama are irritating and childish. There are more important issues than him quoting his friends words in one of his speaches that his friend backed him on. It makes her look like a typical woman and that's what she should be trying to avoid.

  • Posted By: clearpath @ 02/25/2008 5:17:28 PM

If Hillary quits now she is electing JM. Obama is a phony, from top to bottom

  • Posted By: korsow @ 02/25/2008 5:17:19 PM

I don't think Obama has run a better campaign and really she is by far the better candidate!
and she should not quit ,she hasworked too hard and cared too much!
I am surprised at you Johnathan Alter for even wanting her to....

  • Posted By: thop111 @ 02/25/2008 5:17:10 PM

Why is everyone saying Hillary has so much experience. I can't remember her being President. I don't want Bill back in office. HIllary says she is going to get back on track, back to the way it was before Bush. Shure Bill payed down the national dept, but he weakend our military to do so. I am going to vote for Obama not because he is black and not because he is male. I will vote for Obama because he say he will fight the gas, and phamicutical monopalys, the two major contributors to our failing aconomy. I get mad that people would vote or not vote for someone because of there race, religon, or a persons sex. You should be voting for someone who represents your views the best.

  • Posted By: alexabrady1 @ 02/25/2008 5:17:08 PM

I agree with JDL Monroe and John Frank. OBama Does not have the experience to be President. All Americans educate yourselves. This author needs to find something else to talk about!!

Don't get out now Hillary! I'm hoping she has a strong showing on March 4. By the time the dust cleared at the convention there'd be so many alienated and disgusted democratic voters that with the help of "Nader's nudge", McCain should win easily in November.

Comment: Such much for the first woman president.................an unattractive woman, with a shrill voice, hard-edge, but with experience and a bedrock of ideas is going to lose because.......................a young, attractive man comes along with pretty words, sugar-coated speeches and woes all the ladies.

Obama is smooth - tell the girls what they want to hear, it does not matter if it is the same, repacked "change" politicians have been promising forever.

Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome with a millionare dollar smile...............

    Women fall for it everytime................................................

  • Posted By: genci @ 02/25/2008 5:04:33 PM

I hope McCain will take the presidency in November. I cannot imagine president of USA being black.Simple.How can you vote someone who's grandfather was living in Kenya with animals, tradition means a lot, more than we beleive.
I'm not a racist, far away from it, all I want to say is to clearfy some basic phylosophies.

    • Posted By: IAMROUGHDRAFT @ 02/25/2008 5:16:13 PM

well you smell racist to me,
you and your reference to Kenya .....I can smell your racist ass way over here in New Jersey!
My children will live in a America where they will not take cFool like your seriously , but realixe how arcane your comments are ! My grandmaother from Pennslyviana used to say that their was a good reason for th old saying "Their is no fool like a old fool" and here you are ! But I don't find you funny at all.

When haters like you pass away....the country will be better for it.

Comment: Why should she quit now, when some states have not yet voted. It looks like it's still tied-up. Obama's gains have been in states with caucuses, which do not represent the general population. It a sad situation when in 2000, we had the hanging chads in Florida determine the presidency, this year we have the media!!!!

  • Posted By: christi's opinion @ 02/25/2008 5:15:30 PM

Seriously? She does not need to exit the race because Obama supporters want it. She's in the race to be a voice for the citizens who believe in her articulation of the issues. I am taken aback by the gall of the author who claims she risks "humiliation" by staying in an extremely close race. Get a grip.

  • Posted By: political observer08 @ 02/25/2008 5:15:29 PM

I cannot believe the audacity of the US media to rule Hillary Clinton out of this race. What is it with you guys. you discust me. She is well in the race. Do your job and scrutinize Obama please.

  • Posted By: purebred11 @ 02/25/2008 5:15:24 PM

im a republican, but i am so sick of self important journalist feeling they have the right to give a personal opinion, you should report period. The media has run this election from the begining, and i am sick of it

  • Posted By: True American @ 02/25/2008 5:08:45 PM

Obama is a BIG FIGHT LIAR AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO WIN THIS NOMINATION. I guess all of Obama's Cult followers would love for Hillary to quit so that Obama would finally have A chance of WINNING A BIG STATE. Hillary is not a QUITTER. If you need something to write about, write about Farrakhan's endorsement of Obama:

"This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better," he said. "This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."

I see now that Jonathan Alter has been transformed to one of Obama's Robots. Get real, Hilary is in it TO WIN. LOOK, IT TOOK Obama 11 wins to just catch up with her. Do the math on that.

http://www.freedomsenemies.com/_Obama/ObamaLies.htm( here is something you can do a article on)

The media and the press makes me sick. Obama is a Looser and if he makes it to the General Elections I cannot wait to see how the Republicans WIPE THE FLOOR WITH HIM.

    • Posted By: swdemocratforchange @ 02/25/2008 5:15:02 PM

Senator Obama has won 23 states....do the math on that and has 150 more delegates than she does...again do the math!!!
