I am continually amazed by the self-centered nature of the "pundits," like Mr. Alter. Did it ever occur to him that there are many Democrats who put their belief in a candidate before the Party and who can deal with McCain in lieu of Obama, if necessary. Is Mr. Alter a schill of the DNC or the Obama campaign.

Obama may preach his way to the Democratic Nomination for President, but it may not matter as Nader has given Americans a chance to vote against the Republicans and not vote Democrat. A lot of swing voters with latent racism in their minds, or fear of his lack of experience, get a protest vote without voting for McCain.

We just think he is a better leader for this country. Hillary will stay in the race and bring out the best in Obama. I just hope she stopes spreading the hate and talks about the future.

It is not over until we say so. Your biased coverage and your obsession with Obama was not enough and now you are trying to deny Ms. Clinton any fighting chance. Why? Are you worried she might pull a convincing win in TX and OH. I can't believe you guys. I am cancelling my subscription to Newsweek, just as I have boycotted both NBC and MSNBC ( the new faux news.) Good Bye

  • Posted By: oscarp66 @ 02/25/2008 4:10:21 PM

I guess it is time that all Dems in FL and MI to request the party to get their votes back. After all, aren't we living in a democracy? the poeple rules, not the parties, and if that is the case, let's change the party then! I was going to get into the Dem party, but preferred to stay Independent after what happened in FL and MI. Well, just think of what happens to fireworks, after all the colorful demonstration, what is left? Nothing!! What is left after these promises? Well, just think about the fireworks and there lies the answer. Go Hillary!!! because you have never been a coward!!!!!

  • Posted By: Ohiocincinnati @ 02/25/2008 4:05:38 PM

Your Obama fans do not really believe that Obama can beat Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why your guys are so scared???????

You want "knock out", No way!!!!!! these two politician just played half way!!!
do not stop them fighting!!!!!!!!!!!! the best the last.

If Florida and Michigan can get their votes back, she would be in the lead. Please note also that Obama is ahead due to Independents and Republicans voting. Should those two groups chose the Democratic nominee??? Also he won mostly small caucuses(biased, mostly party activists and students attending, no id's required many times) Check out the Washington popular vote totals, much different than caucus results show.

Well, The Clinton's have decided. If the Republicans are going to beat Senator Obama in the fall with campaign lies and distortions, fear mongering, race baiting and slash and burn politics, we might as well beat him using those tactics in the Primary. Hang on America, we are in for a wild ride from now until march 4.
I am positing a Win for Obama and America, on the belief that his campaign is the fulfilling of the Highest Goal of a Democracy and represents a culmination of the hope and faith of those who framed this form of government and those who have fought for its reality. It is fitting that Texas and Ohio be the battleground for this decision.

If he can not survi ve past Hillary, then he is loser

So far, I employ persons with more experience., unless he demonstrated that he is better

I can not risk my company so do you not rish your country for another year.

I do not want the election end just right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment: Comment: Hillary Clinton Goofs Again
      A Commentary by Dick Morris

Who was it that defined neurosis as repeating the same mistake again and again, and expecting a better outcome each time? That is really what the Clinton campaign is doing in its post-Chesapeake primary strategy. Now Hillary defines Obama as the candidate who makes speeches, while she is the one who provides answers and solutions.

Why is Hillary embracing this new line? Its not that she has any great record of solutions or answers of which to boast, but rather that she wants to highlight Obama's lack of a legislative record. Once again, she and her campaign geniuses are making the same mistake they made when they decided to use the experience as their defining difference with Obama. Its not that she had much, but they sensed an opportunity to highlight that he had even less.
Of course experience not only didn't work. It backfired massively. By co-opting the experience tag, Hillary bought into the status quo and left Obama to be the agent of change. A candidacy that could have excited tens of millions of women, the first serious prospect of a female president, became merely a boring part of the status quo, shorn of its novelty.

Hillary's claim to be the solution-person won't work either for the same simple reason: She hasn't passed any...she hasn't walked the walk so now she cannot talk the talk.

As a first lady, Hillary's sole important legislative involvement came during the first two years of her husband's presidency when she sought to pass her ill-conceived health care reform, an effort that failed so miserably that it cost her party control of the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. Between 1995 to 1997, she was largely absent from the White House, traveling the world, promoting her best selling book and helping to raise funds. She never attended strategy meetings and her only intervention in the singular legislative achievements of Bill's administration welfare reform and the balanced budget deal was privately to urge a veto of the former and to oppose the latter because it provided for a cut in the capital gains tax. Hillary returned to the White House in 1998 to oversee the defense to the Lewinsky scandal and the impeachment attempt, but the Clinton administration essentially folded its legislative efforts during those years and hung on for dear life. No portfolio of accomplishments there...

Her only actual legislation included one bill to increase nurse recruitment, another to aid respite time for Alzheimer's care givers and another to expand veteran's health benefits, a paltry output for six years service.

In her second term, she has spent full-time campaigning for president and has the worst attendance record of the three senators now still in the presidential race.

I am sure a time will come when Obama will have to answer some tough questions, I am sure he has to actually tell us the American voters what he stands for, what he has stood for and what he is willing to sacrifice for what he believed in.
He spoke of making the right judgement not supporting the war but if we had fought the war the American way instead of the Rumfeit way -- will he still be claiming that? For all that supposes the war; I understood but, authorizing the war was not wrong -- rushing to war was; miss managing the war was; not letting the military pacify the country before senting in the civilian administrators was! -- because the fact that George Bush and his henchmen could not wait to claim their prize was.
We were suppose to use Afaganistan and Iraq to send a message to Amadinaji and it blow up in George Bushes face not Hillary! she did the right thing of not armstronging our command chief - like him or not.
