Well maybe if you and the other so called "non biased" journalists had shut up or at LEAST leveled the playing fiield and not cannonized Obama from the get go we MIGHT have had a brokered convention or at the very least not one based on hype and the medias unflinching resolve to destroy Hillary Clinton. What is it guys, is she too smart for you? Are your egos THAT weak? Apparentely so, you all make me sick..why don't YOU get out, you need a new job because you clearly are a lousy journalist!

I'm amazed at the hotheadedness of the people. Obama is clearly an intelligent guy, a president in waiting; but that is what he is, in waiting. At some point it will be his time. Just not yet. Not now. The country and world at large ARE divided, he does not yet have the experience, yes, experience to put his words to action. Hillary is the only one with a chance against McCain, otherwise the US is doomed to divide itself more from the world than ever before. Bill Clinton made mistakes, sure, but mostly personal ones. The world respects him for his work not just in America but globally. Hillary was part of that; the brains behind the man. Let her in, and I'm very confident that she will deliver her promises. Obama would do well at her side, and be primed to take over at the next stage. Let him learn and help formulate policy, with experience and guidance by his side. Each are worthy candidates, but perhaps its time they were seen where they should be.

by the way, why Obama is so angry about the photo. if want to demonstrate Hillary use dirty tactics, it is not useless. everyone know both of you use dirty tactics.
so my opinion is that the more you are angry, the more the older people think you are hidden Islam. the photo is not useful for younger people, because they are your fan. who can give me the answer??

I can't agree more! Hillary doesn't stand a chance to beat McCain in November. Ask any Republican voter and they will tell you: Obama poses a real threat to a McCain victory, Hillary ensures a McCain landslide. Hillary's nasty campaigning is only giving fuel to the Republican propaganda machine and making it that much more difficult for the Democrats to win. Please Hillary, for the sake of your country, heed this man's advice!

I also agree. It is time for Hilary to withdraw. She will not win in November. I am an independant voter and would not vote for her. I do believe the Democrats need the independant votes to win and she will not get them. I do see Obama as a good leader and can see myself supporting him. I hope the Democratic party can get there act together and support Obama. Division will equal a Republican president.

MR OBAMA HAS WON IN MOST OF REPUBLICAN STATES, When it will come time to vote
in real presidential election, His votes will dwindle against Mr mcaan. He won only among
black democrates and some whites. Demographically republican independents dont vote
democratic candidate. Look at the history for past electioons. He won because of very
strong black voters. Its different in democratic states. All the young people came out to vote
for him during primary, but may not do so during november. I am a minority voter but if obama
has been elected would he be able to turn the red states to blue, it will be a miracle,if it happens,
If you look at fox channel and media they are backing obama because they know he wiil loose
all the red states, and all the independent votes will sway toward republican. MR obama stand no chance against mccann , mr mcaan will reunite all the non democratic independents too. We will have a
repub lican president for next 4 years. All the anti war rhetoric will be neutralized and we will loose.
looking at hillary with major big states behind her we will have a chance. I am for who is stronger.
and common sense says hillary is strong.

I find it ironic that the party that has long complained of GOP efforts to "steal votes" and disenfranchise voters is the party where there is a real possibility that the Democratic nominee will not be determined by the voters, but by a select set of elite "superdelagates." Furthermore, the party's move to prohibit Florida and Michigan's votes from counting is further evidence of the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party.

If that happens, Obama's people will vote Nader.

  • Posted By: oscarp66 @ 02/25/2008 2:54:02 PM

Was anyone so concerned after Al Gore was robbed the elections? Don't think so !! At least Democrats in Florida voted in big numbers for Hillary, and wanted their voices to be heard. What happened? What if Obama had obtained so many votes? Everybody would be too scared to take away his votes, but well, it's Hillary after all. And I am an Independent who would rather vote for McCain if Obama gets the nomination. After all, better a wolf we know than a wolf in disguise. Speaking of HOPE, I HOPE Hillary will win the nomination!!

Nah, I'm an Obama supporter and if he had 'won' in Michigan and Florida, I wouldn't be pushing for those votes to be counted. The party decided last spring what the penalty would be and the state reps didn't care. They are the real losers who chose to go with what they thought would be influence over the actual vote of their citizens.

I think that Michelle Obama spoke eloquently for herself. As a minority however, I and most of my peers understood her statement to suggest that America is living up to her promise of opportunity for all. I am deeply proud to be an American, not necessarily proud of all the decisions that America has made. This is not an uncommon position for any American to hold- particularly a minority. Perhaps the misunderstanding regarding the comment stems from the hearers lack of understanding of others history in America rather than a lack of patriotism on Ms. Obama's part.

    Jonathan
You the hell do you think you are?!!! Why don't you go and get some hair plugs. Emily must really be a shameless, insecure and quite frankly disgusting woman to be married to a man like you. A smart, confident accomplished woman would never allow her husband to go out and attack a smart accomplished woman the way you have throughout this campaign. I hope that someday your children have the deck stacked against them unfairly, and that you can only look on helpless with your bald head you moron! you dispicable excuse of a man!!!!

    • Posted By: truth31 @ 02/25/2008 3:21:05 PM

poor loser!!!! Nothing but personal attacks. Pretty sad.

Hillary voted for the Iraq War. Hillary FAILED at health care reform while First Lady. Hillary can't even run her own political campaign effectively. She blew through $120 million and had to "loan" her campaign $5 million to keep from going bankrupt. She has surrounded herself with ineffective and bungling campaign managers who she has had to fire. She has been conducting a SLEAZY campaign, lying about and trying to marginalize Obama. And she can't even control her own husband, who has gone off the deep end. AND YOU WANT THIS WOMAN TO RUN OUR COUNTRY ??? I am terrified at the thought of a Clinton presidency.

Jonathan Alter has made the right call. Many of those criticizing him do so out of double standards. Since when did it become essential that "all states vote in the primaries"? Many would have to go back to 20 years ago to find one of the VERY RARE times that has ever happened in American politics.

Had it been Obama who lost unprecedented 11 straight primaries, and he has been making divisive, schizophrenic comments and bitter attacks, many (if not all) of you would be stampeding him to drop out. Under these circumstances, how is asking Hilary to drop out for the sake of the party sexism? If you made such a call in a reverse situation, would you accept the illogical charge of racism?

All those politicians (99% white males) who have dropped out in past primaries in both parties over the years, did they do so to ack "ladylike"? So why is asking Hilary to do the same expecting her to act "ladylike"? It is people like the person who made that assertion that undermine feminism, basically wanting Hilary to be treated differently because she is a woman.

And enough of this tired cliche that Obama has only speeches, not substance. I guess you have closed your mind to all his details about foreign policy, the economy, trade, healthcare, etc. Hilary tried that at the Austin debate and came out badly bruised--because it is nothing but a cliche.
