If the goverment not provides sufficent life conditions, they will be hunting wild animals, even risking their life. Well managed herds of game animals are harvested under a quota system that ensures the viability and sustainability of the species. Like it or not, rich foreigners willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to hunt in South Africa or Tanzania ensures these species will continue to be valued and managed instead of slaughtered and wasted. One hunter kills one buffalo or one zebra or one lion. Quite different from savage barbarians with AK's killing 30 of the last 32 northern white rhinos. The countries where hunting is allowed is where the poaching is under control.

More people should eat buffalo and deer, these animals consume less water and grain than cows and are better for the environment. More farmers would raise this meat if there was a demand for it. Ostrich is also another meat that takes low water to produce.

By giving money, they will be able to hire more rangers and buy better weapons for them to defend those majestic animals. This organization receive funds from the european union, but not enough. Create a group like the misguided American Minutemen, but allow them to actively hunt these poachers down. Comment: experience shows that when hunting is banned in areas (kenya for example) that the wild life looses its value to the native people. hunting is big business and brings tourist dollars to needy regions. when hunting was banned in kenya at the end of 1976, the animals became a detriment rather than a source of employment and income. hence the non regulated poaching.
