    I, too, am a Liberal. It does not , however, come from the word liberty. Just for the record both come from roots. Neither word "comes" from the other.

    I consider myself Liberal, and I believe in the Tenets you list. That makes me an American, not a Conservative. Liberal is from the word liberty, which means Freedom. You confuse that with Socialist or Communist. Not the same.

    I am Liberal, Comes from the term Liberty. Those tenents you list are not Conservative they are American. Extremists would have you believe Liberals are evil. Liberal does not mean Socialist, or Communist.
