One of the reasons there were no elections in the Asian countries is because power was handed down the family line. Chieftains not only turned over power, but the men who were under their control to their son's. In turn their son's did the same and so on. it's not uncommon to hear about attackers wiping out the whole family line just to get power. Picking a qualified person at random has never been the way of the Muslims. Everything is done by family line and family ties. Ben-Eliezer has no other choice but to pick Barghouti. It's a tough job meant for a tough person who can handle the stress and the wild radicals. Ben-Eliezer isn't giving Barghoutic anything if he is given a pardon and accepts the job. Once he accepts the job, his life will also be on the line. The radicals won't be accepting authority any easier from Barghouti, and Ben-Eliezer knows this. Still, it's best to have a radical deal with a radical.

Sorry, I'm a middle aged white female professional who has felt the glass ceiling, but I can't identify with Hillary or with Geraldine Ferraro AT ALL. Ferraro's recent racist comments regarding Obama's skin color are despicable. And though I can fully appreciate what Hillary has accomplished, I have to disapprove of what she has done to get there. Not even mentioning the many shady deals in the Clintons' past (or Bill's out-of-control libido), I am appalled by what Hillary is doing to the Democratic party right now. It's a power play she should be ashamed of, This attitude of "take no prisoners and seize power at any cost." Her insistence on taking this to the superdelegate level and cutting a back room deal that disenfranchises the actual voters is a reprehensible replay of the 2000 Bush/Gore debacle.

The problem with stealing elections is that it opens the door for a political free-for-all in which the individual voter's ballots have no meaning and elections are only for show. That's called fascism, dictatorship, or communism (take your pick). It certainly is not democracy. So, even though I'm a feminist, I can't be swayed by feminist rhetoric when I see crimes against the American people being committed in the name of "girl power." I want a female President too. But consider how damaging it will be to women's future chances in politics, if our first female Commander-in-Chief is hated by the people for her skulduggery and election fraud.

And remember how Geraldine Ferraro's cheating on her taxes KILLED women's political chances at the Presidency until now, 25 years later. I don't want to give away the next 25 years to Hillary Clinton's mistakes.

Oh, yeah, Hillary hasn't released her tax returns yet. Are you old enough to remember what happened to Ferraro's candidacy after she released her tax returns? She got flushed down the toilet, and with her went the dreams of millions of American women.

Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll still be alive in 25 years, when Obama's daughter will run for President.

Hamas should be very grateful to Israel. It ows its power to Israel. Sharon destroyed whatever little security forces Arafat had. Something Mr. Hirsh forgets to mention talking about How few guns Abbas has.
Hamas took full advantage of this situation by usurping in Gaza.
