Comment: Lady Clinton has with determination & the couraze has reached so far in the election for the nomination & as being the first lady candidate for the white house i think she deserves more than Mr. Obama. However political game may work out some other way. Female gender is half of the society & as yet in the land of the mother of the modern democracy & the liberty has not produced a female president when may developing countriues have already produced the main political CEO. Is there something wrong in USA. Is it male chauvinism or female gender weakness i wonder ?. I wish all the best for the Lady Clinotn. Engineer Ram bahadur K.C. form the land of Mt. Comment: Is there any doubt that Newsweek and the people that work there want to see Mr. Obama elected president? I'd say after reviewing this week's edition, there is only one thing you guys could do to best this week..........take a cover shot of all the employees, with the headline..."Vote For Obama". Looking at Newsweek makes that Saturday Night Live skit look like reality instead of humor! Seriously, there are more support Obama stories on this site than all the other news going on around the world all put together. What a JOKE!

Comment: She has played, race card against Obama, gender card for herself, fear card, then race card, now the patriotism card, thrown mud at Obama, with many more months to go, she will come with something more dirty, but none will stick, as Obama inspires hope with his message of reconciliation. Hillary is a mean old woman, who like a woman scorned will destroy the Democratic Party. She has no shame, like her husband who went on to sexually use and abuse those he had used and stood by him as he lied and she directly demonised them, including Monica, just a bit older than her own daughter then.

Comment: Former First Lady's papers to go public. GOOD FOR YOU HILLARY!!! We need to be seen as the "PARTY OF INTEGRITY"!

I realize that this is a little off subject, BUT IT'S STILL A VERY HOT TOPIC!

Attention Hillary and Obama's camp: We need to put a STOP to all this revote or do-over nonsense (Florida/Michigan) that the media is playing up. Important side note to all you Floridians!

    Re: Florida Revote

KUDOS TO ALL FLORIDIANS! The power of the "PEOPLE" and a handful of honest Democratic politicians prevailed! Thank you for NOT succumbing to the intense pressure of the "Washington Insider Club" (Establishment). After what happen in 2000, God forbid we have another Florida voting scandal ... only this time by means of "DO-OVER" mail-in fraud.
Good for you Floridians! Shame on you Michigan Power Players!!

I know that it's NOT the average Floridians fault---nor the average folk from Michigan---I blame the powers that be in both those states for not taking care of business with the DNC when they should have. They should have worked out their differences with the DNC BEFORE their respective primary's.

THEY CAN'T CHANGE THE RULES NOW!!!

I don't care how close the race is right now. Somehow ... someway a winner will be declared without DO-OVER's in Florida and Michigan. With all the DO-OVER talk and Super Delegate controversy, our primaries are starting look like a three-rink circus. C'mon my fellow Dems!

All you folks in Michigan speak up! Refuse to take part in these bogus DO-OVER'S, it's causing embarrassment to our party. Again, I know it's not your fault, but do the right thing like Florida. Just sit it out until the General Election. Then come back STRONG! RECORD NUMBER TURNOUT!!!

As a party, we need to "UNITE" and be seen on the World Stage as the party of INTEGRITY! We need to rise above ANY and ALL suspicions of voter fraud and/or manipulation.

Without that! I really don't see us beating the Republicans come November.

    Hillary/Obama 2008! OR Obama/Hillary 2008

I don't care which name comes first! LET'S UNITE NOW, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

Florida and Michigan SHOULD just split the pledged delegates 50-50. PERIOD!

    GOOO DEMS!!!!

Comment: Following her comments of the last two weeks, Senator Hillary Clinton should abandon her Presidential Campaign. In fact she should probably resign her Senate seat. Endorsing the Republican candidate over Senator Obama and casting aspersions on Senator Obama's patriotism and religion are tactics we expect from certain Republican political advisers. We do not expect them someone who would ask us to vote for her for President.

A petition made by Obama supporters to be sent to the DNC
stating that if Senator Clinton becomes the Democratic Nominee for
the presidential election, you will either:
    a) abstain from voting in the general election
    or
    b) a third-party-candidate during the general election.

Comment: Hillary Clinton has proven, once again, how she is willing to destroy anyone, bend the rules, betray the Democratic Party, and manipulate the hopes and frustrations of women--in order to achieve her selfish goals. She signed a pledge--and agreement--to neither campaign in nor accept the results of the Florida and Michigan primaries--but now that she is behind in the delegate race, she wants to betray her pledge and count the votes. HALF THE DEMOCRATS DIDI NOT VOTE BECASUS THE THOUGHT THE PRIMARYES DID NOT COUNT. Hillary has twisted logic, professing to care about "disenfranchised" when the real disenfranchised voters are those who obeyed the rules and didn't vote in MI and FL. If Hillary were a five-year-old and broke the rules, I would send her to her room and have a long talk with her about how important it is to keep one's word and play by the rules. I am embarrassed for women who have fallen into HIllary's trap. She plays victime--and every women who has ever felt slighted or angry with men--identify with her. She has done nothing but complain and play victim and appeal to women's sympsthies since she lost Iowa. Now that she is so far behind in pledge delegates and the popular vote, she is trying to destroy Obama so that he will be ruined as a viable candidate. She and she alone has interjected sexism and racism into this campaign because it helps her. Triangulation is her strategy. The rancor of the last few weeks is an example of whoat the next four years will be like if Hillary is in the White House. They will, once again, cause the Democrats to lose their majority in the Congress, as they did when Bill was President--because the Clintons' modus operendi is to triangulate--to set people against one another. Hillary has been a cancer on this campaign season--dragging the Democratic Party and the nation through this ugliness because she has not won and cannot win fairly. If she wins the nomination, John McCain will win, thanks to Hillary. She is cynically trying to destroy Obama so that she can try to convince the superdelegates that he is too damaged to defeat the Republicans. Hillary is so hypocrital, it amazes me how easily she pulls the wool over women's eyes.

Comment: HILLARY: "I really believe in what I'm doing"

The fundamental difference between Hillary and Obama. She believes in what she is doing and knows she is qualified. That's why Obama hasnt been able to knock her out. Why her voters won't let him. He can't take away something inside her heart. He can use whatever "new politics" he wants in trying to defeat her, but he will not be able to do what the media has tried to do - make Hillary back down. He
can't destroy something inside from without.

Now, as far as the Dem race goes ...apparently the Fox is outsmarting the Fox. Who would have guessed???

Boy did the Washington Elitist (aka Establishment) underestimate this young kid from Harvard. Smile! Bring it on Obama! The war hero is ready for a good fight.

Comment: Clinton and Obama on the same ticket. Isn???t that a clever way of hinting that she is more capable of being president than Obama. Nobody would take the VP role under Hillary. Hillary should not be in this race, the Clintons have too many secrets to be trusted back in the W/H. They have done enough damage to our country. Hillary claims she was ???co-President??? during Bill???s two terms in the W/H. ???They??? are after a third term. Bill has too many ties to other nations for his ???charities???, so why isn???t it ruled a conflict of interest? Don???t non-profit organizations need to provide yearly returns with donors, donation amounts, payments, payees and amounts? RED FLAG: The charitable ???donations??? from foreign countries, but no disclosure. Red flags, in triple, for these ventures. Hillary often demonstrates her self-centered arrogance that ???rules??? only apply if she benefits. She proved while in the W/H how deadly she could be with ???revenge??? as her weapon. She has no soul, and tries to crush any opposition using any available means. When will the Clintons provide complete documentation of her years in the W/H? This time, will a lie detector test be required to guarantee that no documents were removed? RED FLAG: Sandy Berger had unrestricted access to highly classified terrorism documents at the National Archives. Failure to follow extremely strict security guidelines was a bonus for Berger, he was a familiar figure. He was eventually accused of stealing documents, but claimed that he borrowed a few copies to study, which he later returned. At his trial, the DOJ let Berger off on a misdemeanor charge and surrender of his license. He didn???t even submit to a lie detector test. RED FLAG, RED FLAG: It was later learned that the top- secret original NSC documentation, with hand-written notes (no inventory, no copies existed) covering the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION HANDLING OF THE TERRORISM THREATS were ???MISSING??? from the National Archives. The entire 9/11 Commission report was a waste of time and money, due to incomplete data. RED FLAG: We will never know the full truth about how 9/11 COULD HAVE/SHOULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. Guess whom Hillary has picked to be on her National Security Team? Give that man a cigar! It???s Sandy Berger

    • Posted By: ports @ 03/11/2008 13:30:10

Comment: Your comment only seeks to stir people up. Some of Obama's superdelegates switched from Hillary also. In the end, all the delegates will go to one person and the other candidate will support that person. That is what happens and that is politics. These two candidates are democrats first and will support each other in the end. They are trying to point out the differences between each other to get the nomination. I happen to believe that Hillary Clinton will be the best person for many reasons but I also believe that if elected president, she will work with both parties to try and bring the nation together. That is really needed right now and I for one would like to see that happen. I quote former Florida senator Graham from the Washinton Post article. "It happened in the 40 years after WW11 when 9 presidents worked side by side with Congresses of both parties to contain the Soviet Union to strengthen the free world. We can resurrect theat healthy condition, but it starts with cutting out the cancer of hostile partisanship. It's time to use the knife not to injure, but to cure". I want to believe that we can do that again. We must do that again. We are facing a dismal future if we don't. I believe that Hillary Clinton will be that kind of president and make this effort to bring us all together.

Comment: It's one thing to debate plans or issues.
It's another to make false accusations and try to deceive people.
Furthermore, somebody who is dishonest in their campaign is not likely to become more honest when in office.
It's important that we drop "go team" attitude of football, and start focusing on who is the best candidate.
Whe need to be checking our facts.

      • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 03/11/2008 14:14:37

Comment: I agree that we need to work together, but Hullary has proven time and time again that she will NOT unite the people. She has done nothing but lead campaigns against Bush since he was elected. This doesn't show a desire to work with both parties. Congress has not worked side by side with Bush, they have fought him from the beginning in what appears to be the rage of a child not getting their way when he was elected.

Get a candidate who will do this and yes we will be better off as a nation. Unfortunately, people seem to be too blind to see that Hillary has given us no indications that she can.... she can't even lead a civil campaign against someone of her own party - how can we even think she would later....

Comment: Actually, Military man, that is blatantly false. If you listen to the people who are against Hillary's nomination in the democratic party, she worked too much with Bush. You can't have it both ways. No, Hillary Clinton is a uniter and everything that I have seen of her tells me that. At any rate, I do support her nomination but will support either democratic candidate elected. Hillary in 08'

Comment: Listening to someone else is one thing, seeing her in action is another. Too bad people can't see her true colors shine through when the cameras aren't rolling. Hillary working with Bush.... that is something that is very funny, thanks for the good laugh.

Difference between you and me is that I served under several presidents. Didn't necessarily like them, but supported them as commander in chief and as the person elected by the people. You on the other hand only support the one YOU WANT.... how very patriotic that must make you feel

        • Posted By: ports @ 03/11/2008 14:40:31

Comment: It is clear that you are a McCain supporter and only here to stir up the democrats against each other. I hope that all of the democrats see through this divisive strategy and call you what you are, a war mongerer. You spent years talking our boys and girls into going into the military and you want to justify that action. When this democratic nomination is over I and most of the democrats will band together and support whomever is the democratic nominee and McCain will be OUT.

          • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 03/11/2008 17:00:38

Comment: Actually I don't support anyone yet. Still waiting for someone to shine and rise to the top. As far as aggitators.... have you actually read your own posts?

Yeah, I spent a "VERY LITTLE" time recruiting. Most the rest of my service was in combat. If that makes me a warmonger (for going as I was told after swearing to support and defend the constitution and the US, then ok label me a warmonger. I don't need to justify myself, nor does any other military serviceman or woman need to justify themselves to you. You are enjoying the freedoms you have at their expense. Hope you are at least enjoying it. Based on your numerous negative posts you certainly enjoy the freedom you have to speak out. If only you and most of the democrats would have joined together beforehand things might have turned out better.... You quite blatantly are willing to support when things go your way, but otherwise you seem to whine and cry like your friend Hillary.

Yes, am getting a bit nasty because am tired of stupid ass attacks from you simply because I do not share your point of view. You want to have your right to express yourself, then engage in personal attacks towards someone else for expressing their rights as well. You my friend are a hatemonger. All you worry about is "PARTY WINS" as is evident in your comments, not what is going to be the best for America.

Spin your lies anyway you wish, doesn't change the facts

            • Posted By: ports @ 03/11/2008 23:31:38

Comment: Yes, I do read my own posts, have you? I am for the democratic party because it is the best one to represent the people and I will support either candidate because they are the best for this country. I am tired of seeing the boys die for this inane war. By the way, I was there as I said earlier. I do remember the $56 gear shift nobs and the $52 radiator hoses and that was back in the 60's. The reason Bill Clinton was able to cut so much out of military spending was because he was the first to recognize that there was so much military waste. They are having meetings right now about the waste and corruption that has been going on with the money that was spent in Iran. Those are the facts and you have to live with them also.

              • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 03/12/2008 08:38:20

Comment: Like this war or not... that is a separate issue. Bill Clinton (Democratic Party) did more to enable attacks on our lands by cutting the size of the military. Granted there are wastes in the military, but there are even bigger wastes that should be cut from the government itself. Maybe the next time your Dempcratic Party hero reduces the size of the military, your neighborhood will be the next target of these extremist attacks. PARTY is not the solution. Voting for someone because he/she is in a certain Party is rediculous. You seem to be failing to realize that it was BOTH PARTIES who decided on the "insane war" you mention. But yet again, your eyes are too blind to criticize a party you believe in so fervently. I for one want the best MAN or WOMAN for the country... not the Party. These Parties have been the foundation of many of our arguements and problems

Comment: No, Nora, we will not destroy each other. You do not have to worry about that. People will eventually figure it all out and come together. That is the human way. Good always prevails no matter what the naysayers say. I heard a comment from a European one day and it is tucked in my mind when things go badly for us. He said and I quote "what my friends and I note mostly about Americans is that when they are down is when they are at their best". "They always come through". I believe in the American spirit with all my heart. We seem to survive no matter what is thrown at us and come through.

Comment: on a more serious note: The GOP is disillusioned after 8 years of Bush and the Dems are turning out in record numbers that will probably give them several million more voters in a general election. Also John McCain can't rally the far right which is about 25% of his base. Without that many he is doomed in November. And what are the Dems doing? Like Rome, destroying themselves from within. How sad. Say hello to Nero.
    What a joke.

Comment: I am a middle-aged white female Republican MD, and a fairly conservative person. I have voted Republican all of my life except once, when I voted for Carter out of disgust at the mess Nixon had made. I voted for Geo. W. Bush in 2000, but again I became seriously disenchanted with the GOP because of they way they strong armed the elections and used the Bush-appointed Supreme Court to "legally" divest Gore of his Presidency. That was not democracy in action, and the problem with "stealing" elections is that it opens the door for a political free-for-all in which the individual voter's ballots have no meaning and elections are only for show. That's called fascism/dictatorship/communism (take your pick). However, I was planning to vote Republican this year too, but I took the time to read all of the candidates' books and websites, and much to my surprise I found that Obama was the best candidate in either party, so now he has my support and my vote. But if in November the race is McCain vs. Clinton, I will be all for McCain, as will many Independents and cross over Republicans who have rallied around Obama.

That's like saying that because the Westboro Cult is a Baptist 'church' all Baptists are ignorant, evil pedophiles who picket funerals on this crusade for publicity and to spread fear based hatred. Barack Obama isn't a Muslim but even if he were it wouldn't matter. He's a good man and an honest politician. Comment: When Hillary Clinton makes a speech to people who have no jobs, are losing their homes, or are raising a family on sub-standard wages without health care, it is really hard to believe that she is genuine when she says for everyone who's ever been knocked down, counted out, blah blah blah this is for you. She's never been any of those things. She is among the privileged of the privileged. She's a millionaire, she's gone to the finest schools in the country, her husband was the president. She has no knowledge whatsover of what she speaks. She doesn't worry about her daughter's future or education because she easily provide those things. She's never once had to worry about those things. She's never laid awake at night at 3AM (waiting for a phone call of any kind, except maybe looking for her husband). When she pretends she cares, I find it really fake. At least George Bush admits he doesn't know poor people. I can't believe Hillary has any supporters. Am I the only person tired of seeing her. Eight long years we had to see her face and her husbands'. These Clintons clearly would stop at nothing to get into the White House. Bill Clinton proved that and Hillary shows it once again. Also, she likes to point to the Clinton administration as if it were her own. If so, she had 8 years and the Clinton administration obvioiusly failed the very people she's trying to convince she will work for. Why would they give her another 4 for the same? We need change. Hillary is the same old thing. Barack Obama is the right man for the right time. I fully support him.

    • Posted By: kburgoa @ 03/11/2008 09:59:19

Comment: You really should be embarassed for your stupid comment on Hillary being privileged. She work her hard to get where she at. Hillary served on the Board of Editors of Yale Law Review and Social Action, she advised the Children's Defense Fund in Cambridge and joined the impeachment inquiry staff advising the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives after graduating. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter appointed her to the board of the Legal Services Corporation, Hillary served as Arkansas's First Lady for 12 years. Her 1996 book It Takes a Village and Other Lessons Children Teach Us was a best seller, and she received a Grammy Award for her recording of it. She was elected United States Senator from New York on November 7, 2000. She is the first First Lady elected to the United States Senate and the first woman elected statewide in New York. Do YOUR homework or compare with Obama. Bet you admire her now......

Comment: Your comments show you to be for a different football team but otherwise the fairly similar.
Judge on facts, not the team you have been rooting for all along.
Hillary was privileged. That may not mean she's a bad person, but don't try to tell people that she didn't grow up in a wealthy family.

      • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 03/11/2008 14:24:11

Comment: Yale, Cambridge.... and she isn't "privileged"? I think maybe you should do your homework because to poor humble people like me, that sure sounds like coming from privilege. No admiration for her whatsoever - her actions speak much louder than any words.

    • Posted By: ports @ 03/11/2008 00:41:03

Comment: Excuse me nylaundry but maybe you didn't notice Obama is also very rich and comes from privilege. No one running is poor by any means. If you're looking for poor, it isn't here. That does not mean that a person running for president cannot care about the people and I assume that the people running do care otherwise they would not be here. Hillary Clinton is one of those genuinely kind people who want to make this a better world and I support her because she has shown by her past that she is that kind of person. I want the things that she offers for the American people, national insurance, economic growth and an end to the war this is taking our children.

      • Posted By: metzlerd @ 03/11/2008 15:39:03

Comment: He isn't rich by any other candidates standards. Check your facts. He's the poorest of all of them.
He's certainly wealthier than most of us, but he's a far cry from a Clinton or a McCain.

      • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 03/11/2008 09:38:22

Comment: Some are not running because they care about the people, but more often because they care about gaining power. While Hillary has done some humanitarian things in her past (for political expediency), it is a far stretch to say that she is a genuinely kind person. The woman has a temper and vindictiveness of which I have yet to see an equal. National insurance and economy are two words that DO NOT go together. Under her plan, we would be over taxed. When the population has no extra money, spending kind of slows down.... . Companies lay off people, more and more people are struggling for the necessities of life, etc... basically the economy gets even worse. The economy continually be a problem until people realize that government spending needs to decrease. As long as we want the government to take care of the things we should be taking care of for ourselves, we can expect to be over burdoned with taxes. These programs are not free....

Comment: If you're a retired marine, then you are getting a pension from the government and when you were in the service you and your family got all of your needs taken care of including medical care which you still get so you don't need Hillary's plan. I've been there so don't say it isn't so. It is easy to sit on the side of fence and say what others should have. I have seen what not having health insurance has done to people. I have seen people lose their life savings, their home and their transportation to pay medical bills and some of these people did have medical insurance. For the rest of the world, there is a cap on the amount of insurance they can receive if they have a catastrophic illness. You don't live in the real world where this happens. Yes, Hillary Clinton does care about the rest of the people despite the fact that as a senator, she got the same privileges that you have with free health care. That is what a caring person does. They care even when they don't have the same problems so don't put down someone who cares because you cannot relate to it retired Marine. If we can't afford to take care of the people paying the taxes, we shouldn't be having billion dollar wars. I'm sure that you agreed with the war because that is one thing you did not mention as an extra expense. You're showing your colors there retired Marine.

Comment: Once again port, you babble and put a spin on what you fail to understand. First off, the health care that I receive is not FREE. Second, yes it is the government but how is the benefits I recieve any different from any other retirement plan corporations have? Think about it. I spent over 20 years serving the government, working for a substantially reduced pay when compared to the civilian sector. In return I have a health care which is at a reduced price (not free). This is actually similar to a bartering system. I paid up front for what I am finally receiving. This is quite different from what you are proposing. What you are proposing is that we have our wages garnished to provide for everyone. Now, I have been a military recruiter and have seen a whole lot of people receiving welfare who have these expensive cars, wide screen tv's etc and actually made more on welfare than I made on active duty. What is their incentive for getting off welfare? Then there are people who don't purchase medical coverage in order to spend money on other luxuries (I currently help people with medicare). The when something happens they moan about not having coverage. Granted this isn't everyone and it is hard to blanket call anything. But the facts are the facts. You are proposing that we take from one group to give to another. This is socialism. By the way, guess what.... that so called "free medical insurance" that you say I have, that is available to everyone else as well.... if they are willing to pay the price for it. So get off your high horse and get a little honest here. That will be hard for you as I have read a lot of your posts.... As for the war, that was a separate issue. To answer your quite stupid question, no neither I nor most of us who went to war was "For It" In fact the people who want war the least are those of us who have actually been in them. But we do it for YOUR freedom as well as for our own. Maybe we should have continued to ignore the problem. maybe the extremists would have continued to get bolder and bolder and continue to attack in our own land. maybe it would have been you or your familiy that they indescriminately targeted. Yes... YOU HAVE SHOWN YOUR TRUE COLORS in not only this post but many others. Guess what, I the cost of my health care still doesn't add up to what I would have been paid had I had a comparable income fior all those years and it most definitely doesn't make up for how little my retirement pay is. I would much rather have the extra money and get my own insurance. I just don't subscribe to a government willing to spend like crazy and tax the hell out of its citizens. The government was never intended to baby sit you. You seem to like the idea of socialism / communism. That is not what America was supposed to be about

Or we can all get universal health care...

Comment: Then good luck to you. As for me, I want a future for my kids. Not something that mandates that I have to pay for it or be fined. Insurance is already high enough as it is, I don't want someone turning around and saying, "Oh wait! I forgot to mention that even though your child has insurance, you don't, and I'm fining you for not getting my insurance! It's already been taken out of your paycheck, and oh by the way, you can't pay your mortgage payment because of it. Oh well."

Comment: You will make the mortgage payment and you will have health insurance coverage. It will not hurt you financially. However, if you do not get the coverage, you could lose all that you have worked for all of your life and the children that you worked so hard for will receive nothing. Don't let the insurance companies sell you a false story on that point. They are looking out for #1, themselves and spending billions to make you believe in their story.

From the looks of things ... it sounds like you're EXPENDING billions of words trying to make people believe your story. Just a little humor there!

Comment: jjahns, you have hit on something very important that most of these people are neglecting. Why should there be a National healthcare? If people want the government to step in... wouldn't it better serve us if they stepped in to regulate the insurance industry as well as the medical profession? The cost of insurance and medical attention has skyrocketed because of over charging. If the government wants to help people, maybe they would enforce limits on what can actually be charged. This would make it affordable for everyone and not require them to take from one group of people to give to another. Unforunately, everyone supporting the "universal health care" theme wants something for nothing.

And for ports benefit, yes I have retired, but am more than willing to go fight (yet again) to keep mine and your families free and safe. This is the difference between those who are willing to serve and those who just want that something for nothing.

Comment: Universal health care is not the magical savior everyone and Hillary claim it to be. Chew on this: we get it, and its mandated you purchase it. You're a self-employed single parent of 2 kids. Insurance is hard enough as it is. You can only afford your children. Now you're fined for not getting it yourself. Suddenly this middle class person's life gets harder. Everyone is now insured, not because they can, but because they have to be. The number of patients for doctors and hospitals increases 50 to 1. Demand for doctors increases. Demand for higher salaries increases. Copays go up. Insurance companies charge more for doctors to keep them. Hillary wins. The insurance companies win. Doctors, nurses, patients lose.

Or you can have someone like Obama put a cap on the insurance companies, lower the rates, and actually make it affordable for this self-employed single parent of 2 kids to afford insurance for himself. Everyone eventually gets covered because its now cheaper. Copays go down because of the fact that the doctor has more patients, and insurance companies can't hike up the rates on the doctors/hospitals because there are regulations in place.

Its not rocket science for me.

Comment: Another side note, my insurance is affordable with me on it. You put my wife (who has her own) and my son (who has his own) on it, and the price jumps 400 bucks a month! I don't want a mandate on that. DO YOU?

Comment: What you don't realize that the insurance you have does not protect you or your family. I have worked in this arena and know what I am talking about. Health insurance does not guarantee health coverage. Even with a $2 mil cap, you could go bankrupt if one of you get a catastrophic illness. I have seen it happen on not just one but several times. I am not just talking about people who have no insurance but I am talking about people who THINK that they have health insurance now. I have a list of life stories of people who have worked all their lives and lost everything because of health coverage that wasn't enough. By the way, you have greatly exaggerated the cost to the family or individual of national health insurance . It would be controlled. That is why the insurance industry is spending billions to try to stop national health insurance. They are making billion more on your health and not guaranteeing to pay for
your illnesses. It amazes me that people do not see through their propaganda and realize that they are feeding us a "bill of goods" I have talked to people from Canada who loves this insurance. You listen to retired Marine who is guaranteed health insurance? Who loves the war?

At least learn the facts before you spout off. But based on your other posts, you probably know the facts and purposely spout out misinformation to progress your socialistic point of views. You fail to mention the long waits people need to abide in order to get their health care needs taken care of, and the fact that the ones who need service "now" cross the borders to come to the US because the medical profession is much better. You fail to mention the people in Europe who do the same when they actually need health care. You also forget to mention how much of these people's hard earned money goes into the government in taxes in order to have these plans. Yeah, you fail to mention many things. This is historically how people have sold their freedoms away slowly. It amazes me that people like you are so blindly stupid. Comment: When will the media finally ask Hillary Clinton "WHAT EXPERIENCE?"

Clinton is making a baseless assertion that she has "35 years" of relevant political experience. She must be counting the 16 years she spent at Rose Law Firm (1977-1993), specializing in representing mega-corporations such as Wal-Mart and Tyson Foods. Wal-Mart, famous or it's union busting and sexism, paid Clinton $18,000 per year for serving on it's Board of Directors, plus $1,500 per meeting and gave her $100,000 worth of Wal-Mart stock (these figures are a matter of public record, since Wal-Mart is a publicly traded corporation). How does this count as 16 years of political experience? And how could Hillary have been involved in foreign policy matters if she never had a security clearance, never attended a single NSA briefing, and didn't receive any of Bill's foreign policy briefings? The truth is that after she tried to force her health care plan down people's throats and it blew up in her face, Hillary was a relegated to relatively traditional role for the First Lady: attending events relating to women and children, and occasionally traveling on "good will missions" to other countries. She doesn't want to release the records of her schedule as First Lady, because people would see that she spent 8 years giving tea parties. For the facts that back up these assertions, see these websites:

    http://www.slate.com/id/2182073/
    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=18391632
    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=18335120

When will people notice that Hillary has only 8 years in elected office, compared to Obama's 12 years? But, even if it were true that she had "35 years" of relevant experience, democracy is not a quid pro quo. Americans aren't interested in being told by ANY candidate that they are "entitled" to be their party's nominee. The last thing Americans want is another "inevitable" president put in place by political elites because of who they know, just like "W" Bush, who arguably may be the worst president in history. Puppet leaders of the United States, not elected by the people but engineered by a political machine? Elections where your ballots are meaningless? Is that what you want, America? If we let this happen, how can we call ourselves "the land of the free?"

Comment: Clinton likes to disparage Obama for "running on a speech". Lincoln ran on his "House Divided" speech during the Lincoln-Douglas debates and layed out the moral argument for ending slavery that eventually led to his Presidency (he was defeated in his run for Senate). Lincoln was also "inexperienced", in fact much more so than Obama. Lincoln's lilting rhetoric in making moral arguments eventually trumped the staid political sloganeering of his rivals. This "inexperienced" backwoods upstart from Illinois eventually defeated the early favorite, New York Senator Henry Seward. Lincoln went on to lead us through the most tumultuous time of our countries early history. I am hoping history repeats itself and an "inexperienced" man from Illinois with a strong moral argument and conciliatory (not devisive) leadership style knocks out the New York Senator. Except, I'm not sure I would let her be my Secretary of State.

She's losing the popular vote, the electoral vote, and the most states. Yet she is still in the race. She is now going around asking the person who is winning to magically concede, and let her have first place. Afraid on this one I won't listen to any complaints from Clinton supporters. She is clearly being allowed to continue on in a position where no one else would. So my advice? Quit complaining if the refs are cheating in your favor. In the beginning of the campaign, Obama was the underdog and it was hands-off by the media. Now he's slightly ahead and the media still beats up Clinton It's not over for six months.

Asking her about the current delegate count or what would happen if...whatever, is not the same as being falsely accused of illegal Rezko links or lying about your NAFTA stance. It isn't the same having trying to make it appear that your a muslim terrorist, a militant christian, having a gay affair, or a communist infiltrator.

Asking somebody what if you lose, will you make your taxes available, why do you take this stance or that... none of these are beating up on a candidate.

I am not just talking about Obama???s staff ether; just the people who support him in this election. She underestimated him before the election and now she is underestimating his strong support. Remember this is a movement will see what happens after she steals the election. This is going to go down as a classic battle in the history books. Your grandchildren will be talking about the 08 election; what happened? Do not worry; Obama does not have to say a word the people who support him will.

This is Hillary???s scorched earth policy, slash and burn. If she can???t win then her policy is to destroy everything and everyone including the Democratic Party. She is willing to loose her legacy and her dignity all in the name of power. I feel really bad for her if she does this she will regret it later in life.

I see a great opportunity here for the republicans in this election. If Hillary steals this election; by her any means necessary policy. The republicans should try to reach out to all the African Americans and Obama supporters to support John McCain??? Obama should not under any circumstances accept or align himself; in any way with the Clinton Campaign. He should go back to the Senate and get ready 2012. All of us who support Obama should either vote for John McCain or sit this election out in protest of Hillary Clinton???s campaign

Hillary???s judgment should one again be called into question!

1st: It was staying with Bill for political gain!

2nd: The war in Iraq vote!

3rd: Agreeing to sign up for the rules that were stated by the DNC in respect to Florida and Mich.

4th: Destroying the Democratic Party for her win at all cost policy.

5th: Slashing and Bashing Obama and then wanting him to be her running mate.

And this is who you want as President, come on women of America look at who you are supporting. It her judgment that needs be the #1 issue of this campaign. She has poor judgment that is the bottom line issue for all of us to examine

Comment: Obama spent more than Hillary 2 to 1. He had the press on his side throughout the month of February. He had everything going for him in February. Jonathan Alter - Newsweek's columnist along with other pundits wanted Hillary to quit before OH and TX. Yet, Obama failed to close the deal in Ohio and Texas primaries. If he had won those two 'primaries' the press would have been vindicated for all the adulation they showered on him. So the race has to continue. In a proportional distribution every state has to vote no matter the end result.

Comment: One can see the desperation???

If Billary were STEAL the nomination Obama is her only real choice for VP. The ONLY chance to reunite(at least somewhat) the party.

It could round out her ticket with the Positives that it is lacking. It LIFTS her chances of winning the presidency. It also doesn???t fly in the face of Obama???s canditacy, with a simple statement of bringing change from the VP role. Also setting him up for 2016. I don???t see her beating McCain otherwise.
That said, with Billary on the top of the ticket, Repubs are handed their UNITED base. A Down-ticket nightmare.

With the shoe on the other(legitimate nomination)foot,
Obama CAN NOT choose Billary. This does not round His ticket what so ever, nor does it hand him a state that he isn???t otherwise going to win (NY is true blue, I concede MAYBE Arkansas may flip if Huckabee is NOT on the repub ticket). Gov. Richarson is a good choice, although Secretary of State seems Ideal for him(and the country) Sen Biden would round out the foriegn policy end of things, although again Secretary of State seems appropriate as well. Tim Kaine of VA would be a great pick bringing VA into the blue column. 2 Young up-and-coming dems(one Sen., one Gov.) worked well in 1992. Robert Reich, Sec. of Treasury during Bill Clinton might be prudent given the economy issues, but not so well known. Any of these choices is better for down ticket Dems.

I???d like to think that Billary sees the writing on the wall. I???d like to think she is doing Dem???s a favor by bringing up Repub style attacks against Obama to help strengthen his operation as well as making lines of attack, ???Old News???. I know they are true dem???s and they see the AGED makeup of the Supreme Court, and the tenuous hold on congressional majorities that are apparent to anyone paying attention I can???t allow myself to think otherwise.

Comment: Without Hillary in the ticket Obama will not be able to win either.Yes, he will get the African-American votes and the upwardly mobile college educated elites which will count only for a small percentage. But he
