Iraq: The Youngest Survivors

You don't have to be in the war to make a comment about the war. Your opinions may be different from those have been there and completely disagree with what we're doing there (fighting for a war that should not have started to begin with). Opposing the war does NOT mean that you don't support the troops. Those who oppose the war ACTUALLY care more about the troops than those who want to continue the war so that they can profit. I have served in the Army for over 13 years. I have seen the horrors of the War in Iraq and treated wounded soldiers.
If the Administration wanted to "liberate" the Iraquis and remove the dictator, then they should have told the truth from the start and tell the American people we went there to remove the dictator and promote REGIME CHANGE and NOT because of WMD's and all the other lies we have heard...

The Soldiers have secured a real future for these kids not some hellish life under a Dictator who used rape and torture to terrorize his own people and hold that part of the world hostage. Here is a perfect example of how the media tries to steer things. Newsweek posted 5 videos and only promotes commenting on "The Youngsest Survivors" which they've tried to make look so sad. Well, these kids have a chance now other than a dismal future with a tyrant! They don't understand now, and I am sure feel confused, but their future is full of many more possibilities! Did you notice the lame tone of the reporter, trying to make you feel nothing but agony even in the second video where these honorable troops were there making the best of their situation and in my opinion, didn't give her the satisfaction she of showing deep opposition and dismal stories from these soldiers. They gave her answers that makes me proud to have them as service men. They are fighting for freedom. For us, for the Iraqis, for the world! When you have an infection, you don't wait for it to spread before it gets out of control... you stop it as soon, and as fast as possible! It's a tough call being there, but you people better learn some respect for those looking out for you since you can't seem to figure is out for yourselves. Newsweek, if looking for real opinions would have let people comment on all the videos. If you haven't watched you better since the second one showed many brave people doing what they believe in. The 3rd, 4th and 5th videos were very nice tributes to the people who died for "The Youngest Survivors" How about a big ol' THANK YOU from the people of the U.S.A. and from the teacher who might have been killed 5 years ago for teaching those kids! God bless them and the troops who gave them more opportunities than they ever knew possible! God bless those who gave their lives with their own families for ALL of our families!

. I am a proud Muslim US citizen born in New york although I have travelled to the middle east and Pakistan and they are not any different from the people here in the US. The whole thing is a way to make the world one, which is not a bad idea but thats like taking away the diff cultures and languages. Lets not forget more then half the people in the US are immigrants aswell.

actually, I'm not full of hate... but do have some common sense about how war works. and, yes, I have been over there, been all over the middle east lately. And I trust that there are some vets that you'd believe rather than me. so, instead of demeaning me, why not take a look at what a large number so troops say about these wars: go ahead, make your day: WWW.IVAW.ORG ....There is a vet right here (sickashel) who'd probably give you a better version of the truth based on his pinion and his experiences.

I have found that in todays news we get only the reporters veiws and their opions. I remember the das when we were iven the facts and we were left to make our own opion. I was told long ago by my father " belive none of what you hear and only half of what you see!"
