    Comment: You don't have to be in the war to make a comment about the war. Your opinions may be different from those have been there and completely disagree with what we're doing there (fighting for a war that should not have started to begin with). Opposing the war does NOT mean that you don't support the troops. Those who oppose the war ACTUALLY care more about the troops than those who want to continue the war so that they can profit. I have served in the Army for over 13 years. I have seen the horrors of the War in Iraq and treated wounded soldiers.
    If the Administration wanted to "liberate" the Iraquis and remove the dictator, then they should have told the truth from the start and tell the American people we went there to remove the dictator and promote REGIME CHANGE and NOT because of WMD's and all the other lies we have heard...

    Comment: Here is a perfect example of how the media tries to steer things. Newsweek posted 5 videos and only promotes commenting on "The Youngsest Survivors" which they've tried to make look so sad. Well, these kids have a chance now other than a dismal future with a tyrant! They don't understand now, and I am sure feel confused, but their future is full of many more possibilities! Did you notice the lame tone of the reporter, trying to make you feel nothing but agony even in the second video where these honorable troops were there making the best of their situation and in my opinion, didn't give her the satisfaction she of showing deep opposition and dismal stories from these soldiers. They gave her answers that makes me proud to have them as service men. They are fighting for freedom. For us, for the Iraqis, for the world! When you have an infection, you don't wait for it to spread before it gets out of control... you stop it as soon, and as fast as possible! It's a tough call being there, but you people better learn some respect for those looking out for you since you can't seem to figure is out for yourselves. Newsweek, if looking for real opinions would have let people comment on all the videos. If you haven't watched you better since the second one showed many brave people doing what they believe in. The 3rd, 4th and 5th videos were very nice tributes to the people who died for "The Youngest Survivors" How about a big ol' THANK YOU from the people of the U.S.A. and from the teacher who might have been killed 5 years ago for teaching those kids! God bless them and the troops who gave them more opportunities than they ever knew possible! God bless those who gave their lives with their own families for ALL of our families!

    Comment: . I am a proud Muslim US citizen born in New york although I have travelled to the middle east and Pakistan and they are not any different from the people here in the US. The whole thing is a way to make the world one, which is not a bad idea but thats like taking away the diff cultures and languages. I don't know where your getting your info from, but I can tell you, that I have never heard of such lies that you speak of...When I was over there, Ar-Ramadi, we would make up bags of candy or whatever we could find (food, eadibles,candy etc.) and throw them to the children when went out on convoy..I guess you don;t have children, because the reaction, is that of ANY child,,...they were grateful to have received something, it didn't have to be much,,but it was something nontheless...and it gave us something in return,,we felt good about helping the kids,,,,Its ashame you make lies from your words...theirs alot that you have to learn of Iraq, before you start writing about something you probably don't know too much about...if you lost a loved one over there and your disgruntled,,,then I'm sorry for your loss, I'm sure he/she was a fine soldier,,,if not,,,then go over there and learn from the Iraqi's, they are very intelligent and are willing to learn as well...... 28ID soldier

        Comment: when my dad went over, us kids at home would pack a whole box load of 'candy bombs' or 'toy bombs'. My dad was a Blackhawk pilot and when there were kids flying beneath him, his buddies would take little stuffed animals with soccer balls and toss it down for them. Today's kids are tomorrow's leaders. They are the ones who are gonna rule Iraq soon.

Answer: The US, So, we did not care that he made atrocities because he was our "ally". I support the troops, I have served for 13 years and I will continue to serve. I do NOT agree with what we're doing and I believe we should come home immediately. I have seen how badly people are coming back and the suffering of the troops themselves and their families. Stop being so proud! Your experiences are not the same of all of us who have made the same sacrificies you have made. I honor and admire your service brother. But, we cannot remove every single dictator in the world by creating wars. We must promote peace by setting a good example and stop promoting dicators like Musharraf in Pakistan. Stop aide to Israel, bring all our troops home from the middle East including Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

        If the Administration wanted to "liberate" the Iraquis and remove the dictator, then they should have told the truth from the start and tell the American people we went there to do the things mentioned here and NOT because of WMD's and all the other lies we heard...
