WAR IN IRAQ

'Go Home'

Even in the sheltered walls of an upscale Baghdad preschool, tragedy and loss are everywhere. A teacher's tale.

Comment: I believe we have been in there way too long, Obama has the only good platform to get out of iraq and concentrate on getting osama, bush made a mistake by trying to correct daddys wrong, time to bring the soldiers home

Comment: I believe that we need to leave there and let them work out their own lives just like the teacher said in the article. We got rid of Saddam isn't that what Bush wanted? To make up for his daddy's mistake? We need to centralize in Afghanistan where Osama Bin Laden is. that is our real threat. We could also use some of our men on our southern border.

Comment: It is so easy for us to say what the Iraqi people should feel as we live our comfy lives in America. Yes, we have stresses but at least we are not worrying if the car next to us in traffic will blow up. Until we live under the stress that this teacher has been living under, we should not judge her. I hope our family and friends never have to endure what these people have endured. Many of the soldiers who return home from Iraq are suffering physically and mentally more than any other vet in the last century. There are no rules of warfare being followed. We should bring our people home. If it weren't for the oil, (and in my opinion, Bush's personal vendetta against Saddam) we would never have gone in. Why is oil so high now....not because of the cost as our own oil companies have posted the highest book income (in the billions) ever. Hmmm, who is our real enemy?

Comment: Either you want freedom for yourself or you don't.America should leave Iraq and let them settle it the only way they know how. If Bush\Cheney's cronies weren't making so much money, Iraq would be just like any other 3rd world nation with nothing to offer. America has let the people of Iraq down, and those countries that need our help as well. Not to mention the degradation of America's way of life here at home.Give Iraq the chance to rule themselves. When the killing is done, then bush can say I told you so, but our kids won't have to die to prove him wrong.
