    I wonder when the blu ray recorder will come out. you know, so we wont lose our disk from scratches and have a back up. I think I'll stay with the DVD and DVD recorder untill blu ray comes out with an inexpensive recorder, then I can copy all my DVD's to blu ray.

    Yes , the more hdtvs are being sold, the more Blu ray players will be replacing dvd players. But it will be a slow process , just like Vhs to DVD.
