Newsweek had three sources to choose from for the estimated Iraqi civilian deaths: a peer-reviewed study published in one of the oldest and most respected research journals in the world, a survey conducted by a respected British independent polling agency, and some web site. Newsweek chose the web site.

I have a very difficult time believing the audacity of GWB as represented by the things he unconscionably offers for people to accept. We should never forget that the War in Iraq (as with so many other things they present) was falsely justified (obviously intentionally, again as with so much else, for the sole benefit of a few) and it has cost us so greatly (in lives, dollars, neglected other things - not the least of being the pursuit of Osama bin Laden and more) else the subterfuge offered begins to sound valid and we are then open to further manipulation.
