There is nothing stupid about trying to mitigate the worst effects of climate change. Bio re-engineering the climate might be out of our abilities, but that doesn't mean we can't try, or at least do our best to slow down such changes, as to better prepare ourselves for its consequences.
And there is nothing "spurious" about climatology science. Spurious is better associated to so-called science in religions ...

Germany has also been the single most recalcitrant country in the EU when it comes to liberalizing Europe's energy market—a crucial step in lowering energy prices and increasing the efficiency of the continent's energy market.
