I have so many friends that suggest that Obama's moneys for his education and this campain come from terroist organizations...I want to know the truth. If this was so, wouldn't the media be puting it out there. I'm not crazy about McCain and Palin, but I' m scared to death of what Obama will do to this country!!

One of the drawbacks of the Internet is that it has become a medium for trashing a person with lies and making them seem like truth. All it takes is a technology literate person. It's even possibe to create offical-looking documents. What if waht is hapening to Obama were to happen to you. Would you be like Obama and refuse to defend a lie about him?

Obama is a man for our times.

He can heal our reputation on the world stage and heal our broken country. Mostly he works to heal our spirit. His is a politics of inclusion, he is a man of grace and intellect, and more than any politician in recent times he has inspired a nation. People are drawn to Obama, they are in need of hope, and an optimism that seems to be so hard to find these days.

While the Republicans busy themselves working hard to divide -- us and them -- the American people are looking for someone who will lead them. Folks looking for a better future are drawn to Obama. His is a positive message and he inspires us to hope. That is a powerful thing in these dark times.

That's great...a bunch of FN Fluff. What if you have a child in the mid east fighting for thier country? Sooo many promises and NO experience. I'm not a fan of MCcain, but considering our choices, I want someone who has been there. Heal our spirits??? How about a retirement fund we worked 50 years for?!!

How do you feel about this...Every country that hates the US is hoping that Obama is our next leader. What does this tell you. I think they all will be very eager to test our new leader...another 9/11. God help us!!

you are all idiots if you vote for that dirty evil scandalous person...he is a *** terroist and god help us if he is elected!!!

I am and have been a stanch democrat. However, this election I am voting for the McCain/Palin ticket. The democratic party has done a major disservice to all the women of America. Why they didn't let Hilary run and win the election, then let Obama run for the office in four year is beyond me. Women have had to fight hard for their moment in the sun just as has other minorities. Today I say let a woman serve in the office of the Vice President. Sandy

Sorry to say but you are not or never were a staunch democrat if you choose to vote for McCain! I know it is disappointing that Hillary did not get the nomination, but we are supposed to be voting on issues! Do you see the MESS the republican's are leaving us and our children in? DO YOU WANT 4 MORE YEARS? We cannot afford it! I know Hillary will be part of Obama cabinet, I have no doubt! I need HEALTH INUSRANCE, i need to KEEP MY HOME! wE NEED oBAMA, WAKE UP aMERICA!

      • Posted By: Shhh @ 10/13/2008 12:13:20 PM

oh wait!! so obama can change his name religion, and who knows waht else! but no one else can change their mind? WHATEVER!

      • Posted By: Shhh @ 10/13/2008 12:10:52 PM

Ebony your an idiot!! Obama is so wrong in so many ways I cant even count... And if you are stupid enough to still think this is about party affiliation then you are father gone than I had imagined! Look at Obama's history! Obama is a liar and you are beliving him! I promise you will see your stupidity in future days.

You talk all the time about how Obama will change things. He is a complete idiot. Biden is a fine man that would be great in the White House. If the ticket read Biden/Palin I would vote for it because I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I am an American. I want what''s best for our country. Not just to see "my party" win. Obama has lied from day one about his faith and upbringing. He said he grew up in poverty(lie), He was roomates in college under the name Barry, but after a trip to the middle east with his 2 muslim roomates he began to call himself Barack. These same 2 roomates are tops in his campaign. One of his major contributors is a well know real estate mogul in Chicago that has been charged with numerous felonies. Don't vote for this man just to see a black man in office. It is not suppossed to be like that. Vot for who will take care of this country. Mccain may not be a dream President, but he is better than having a Muslim in office. I have met many Muslims that I respect, but considering what is going on in the Middle East we can't afford to elect so nobody that just came up on the scene, liar to lead our country. This is going to blow up in everyone's face if he is elected.

deemac your stupid, hdgsjy never said they were voting for McCain because he has a woman on his ticket.. And what made you think this person was a girl? Nothing indicated it at all... Your an idiot... be you woman or man!

To deemac and squints read up and get your facts straight!!! Dumb democrats never do anything but listen to what they hear on the TV news shows. Spoon fed like robots you are. Here's the facts: you read them and fact check what I'm sending you, then keep pointing the finger, but not at Bush or his administration. Your own party did this to this nation, and it started with Clinton. -
New York Times - Five Years Ago
I thought all of you may be interested in the following article reported in the New York Times five years ago. You won't hear this from the liberal media ! It seems that the Bush administration proposed increased oversight and regulation of Fannie and Freddie, but Democrats fought it.

    Here's the article:

"The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago. Under the plan, disclosed at a Congressional hearing today, a new agency would be created within the Treasury Department to assume supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored companies that are the two largest players in the mortgage lending industry.

The new agency would have the authority, which now rests with Congress, to set one of the two capital-reserve requirements for the companies. It would exercise authority over any new lines of business. And it would determine whether the two are adequately managing the risks of their ballooning portfolios."

Democrats pushed back. "Among the groups denouncing the proposal today were the National Association of Home Builders and Congressional Democrats who fear that tighter regulation of the companies could sharply reduce their commitment to financing low-income and affordable housing".

"These two entities, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not facing any kind of financial crisis", said Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."

Representative Melvin L. Watt, Democrat of North Carolina, agreed. "I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing," Mr. Watt said.

Please forward this to all on your list - and especially Independents and Democrats !!!

well go girl, if the only reason you are voting for McCain is because he has a women running for him. You are just a sorry person. If you don't care about health, the economy, all of those soldiers overseas fighting and dying for this country then like i said you are just sorry. Maybe you and Palin can walk hand in hand across the bridge going to nowhere.

  • Posted By: squints @ 09/16/2008 4:49:59 PM

Sandy im sorry...but, anyone that would vote based on gender or race alone needs to stay home on election day...This is about issues and problems facing this county that bush screwed...get over it and move on..gender doesn't matter...biden raised his kids on his own and obama lost his father...but, no one talks about that like they do palin...everyone has problems and issues...all men and women were created equal should be treated equal.

This is an example of the total sellout by the media for BO. Any journalist with any common sense would have outted this fraud. But the MSM acted like schoolgirls with a crush and allowed this wimp to fool all of you. Liberalism is a mental disease when information is controlled and not allowed to see the light of day. BO will lose because too many dems are having buyers remorse and it could be a sad day for dems. Where's Hillary?

Comment: IMPORTANT BULLETIN FOR ALL BLOGGERS ON THIS SITE:

    TO NEWSWEEK STAFF:

This is to report that there is a FRAUD going on, on this site, in which bloggers are using the names of various bloggers (Obama supporters are most likely the culprits) who are fraudulently writing blogs that are deplorable and tagging them under other bloggers names (non-Obama supporters names). I officially reported such a fraudulent abusive use of fake postings that I just viewed on this site today that affected me personally. This is what it said in which the blogger fraudulently used my name as the poster:

IT SAID THIS. I NEVER WROTE THIS. SO ALL OTHER POSTERS, ESPECIALLY FORMER HILLARY SUPPORTERS, BEWARE:

Comment: I agree. So why do so many Obama supporters make him out to be a Messiah?

I NEVER wrote the above comment or ANY mention of Obama being a Messiah. At this point I am ready to bring this abusive process that you are using on your site to FOX NEWS as I have done this before and they are very responsive. I have copied this report to send onto the media if I dont see a stop to the smearing of my name or others on this site moving forward!

Heyteach.....It was a personal moment between the two of them. To me it showed , I'm proud of you, I've got your back, I know you can do it....All of that not some sinister plot. By the way, have you seen Bush's sill antiics? What image is he giving the American people.

So what about the pound? She merely used a symbol which is popular among both whites and balcks of a younger generation to congratulate her husband. It has the same meaning as a hug or a kiss. Let us not start to find every conceivable thing that this couple does as some sinister plot to destry this country's image in the eyes of the world. Neither she nor her husband is dangerous they are just normal people who find themselves in an extraordinary place in an extraordinary time.

  • Posted By: bushlawyer @ 06/05/2008 5:21:44 PM

Whether it's a pound a hug or a handshake, does it really matter. She merely used a symbol that is regularly used by both blacks and whites and which is representative of the younger generation to which they both belong
