Comment: eddiewhere: Laws were also written to give white women their civil rights before they were written for minorities. Women are still trying to become considered equal to their white male counterparts. In this society filled with bigots, it does take time for things to turn around for everyone. But it is an attitude like yours that fuels inconsistencies that we find among race. What you need to worry about right now is educating yourself right now. And this is being written by a white woman who has been with a company for six years...and instead of being promoted they hired a hispanic man to take the position I was qualified for. I have no issue with that. He is a great person and manager. BTW...I am an Obama supporter too, but I think he still needs more experience before he will be president. BUt i believe he will be one day.

Now these same WOMEN like CLIFT cannot take defeat, so they will hate on OBAMA and plan so called "insurgencies "to help McCain.

Comment: Let's see, banks and their investors lent hundreds of billions of dollars to poor people, who are not going to pay the banks or the investors back. So, banks and investors who lost $945 billion dollars are the "evil ones" Poor people who were given hundreds of billions of dollars and aren't going to pay them back are the "victims". Comment: I read an excellent article in "Newsweek" entitled "No More Financial Katrinas" by Jane Bryant Quinn in April 14 issue. Now consider there are over 6,500 hedge funds selling THOSE WORTHLESS DERIVATIVES and until the IRS calls them anything esle, that's what they are looking like. We need federal regulations put on the enron tactics they are using and now we read other incidents where insurance companies are down-graded by the bond rating companies which is no accident. I used to think banks were susposed to be conservatively run but now I hear they are borrowing from Visa to get out of debt. At least they have Fed Chm. Bernanke working for them because his answer to everything is to push the CD rates down. They ought to do what they did over in England, when Northern Rock got in trouble, they nationalized it in February. Let them know you mean business rather than rewarding criminals.

From one Obama supporter to another, I'm sure that both Dr. King or (future President) Obama would agree with me when i tell you that your post sounds like a women-hating rant.

I think they would also say (though no doubt much more eloquently than me) that the real American dream is a political discourse that has no need or want to dwell in the specifics of gender, class, color, creed, sexual orientation or anything else that artificially divides us.
