Comment: I am not sure who was polled; Rabbi Vogel at Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills is one of the best Rabbi's and didn't even appear on the list. I don't know who Lynton, Ginsberg and Sanderson spoke to ... apparently not anyone from the West San Fernando Valley or any of the hundreds of people Rabbi Vogel encounters on a regular basis.

Comment: Was this list Divinely Revealed? If I do not accept this listing, am I an "Apikoris"?

Comment: Is this list Divinely-inspired or man-made? If one does not believe that these Spriitual Leaders are spokesmen for the Jewish faith, is he an "Apikorus"?

Comment: The charismatic leader of Congregation B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim in Glenview, Illinois, deserves to be on the list. Rabbi Karyn Kedar has published three excellent books on spirituality, delivers sermons without notes, engages our multi-generational congregation, has given us the courage to build a new synagogue, has energized the fund raising for it, and is a hellavu woman. Comment: I'm happy to see my senior rabbi, Janet Marder, ranked. She is amazing. But Congregation Beth Am is in Los Altos Hills, not Palo Alto.

Comment: Although I am not a Chassidic Jew. Ignoring such Rabbis as The Satmar Rav and The Square Rav is a glaring omission. These men are both political and financial power brokers. They head massive movements and can deliver block votes such as the one that propelled Hillary Clinton into office in New York State.

Comment: I beleive Rabbi Shalom D. Lipskar of The Shul in Bal Harbour FL would be an excellent candidate for a list of this nature. Aside for buidling -from scratch- one of the most beautiful synoguge edifices in the US, and having a weekly attendance of over 600, he has an international influence on many other areas of Jewish life. Something to consider.

Comment: I'm happy to see that Rabbi Brant Rosen of JRC in Evanston, IL made the list. He is indeed worthy of this honor!

Comment: Ridiculous. There are so many excellent rabbis missing from this list. Lynton, Ginsburg and Sanderson are not God!

Comment: You overlooked Rabbi Sally Olins of Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs CA. She is charismatic and has brought a dynamic new outlook to a Conservative congregation that serves a traditional as well as the gay and lesbian population of Palm Springs.
