I have also had foot surgery and have been able only to wear crocs since. I am a nurse and spend many, many hoiurs a day on my feet on cement floors. I can't imagine doing this without my crocs. Who cares if their not beautiful, their comfortable and isn't that what counts anyway. And where would the world be without nurses in comfortable shoes. If you've never tried them don't knock them.

I fully agree with the article, well said man! It doesn't take a fashionista to know ugly when one sees it! I find Crocs to be tacky and utterly hideous, just as bad as those frumpy, clunky, stupid looking Uhg boots that every third dork and her friend are wearing in all venues and no matter what the weather. We are finally witnessing the end of the most wasteful and dumbest status symbol trend in America's history with the much anticipated demise of huge and mid size SUV's and full size PU truck's -often driven by people who seem like they are barely able to drive a Focus or Corolla safely. It's a happy time, It's twilight time for the era of these gas wasting, view blocking beasts which will slowly vanish from our crowded neigborhood streets, jammed freeways, and parking spaces amid 4 dollar unleaded. One can only hope Crocks (and those stupid frumpy Uhg boots too!) go the way of the SUV's!

I LOVE my Crocs. I work on my feet sometimes 18 hours at a time. I have had multiple foot surgeries and have spent a small forture on expensive "comfort shoes". to keep my foot pain at bay. Then a co-worker recommended Crocs. I discovered their unbelieveable comfort. My feet would not be able to stand my job without them. Are they ugly? Yep. Do I care? Not a bit.

My multi-colored walt disney boxers are comfortable too. But I don't wear them out in public. Crocs are in the same category.

I wish to express my love for crocs! I bought my first pair of crocs when I was on vacation in San Diego, 3 yrs ago. 6 wks prior to this vacation I had foot surgery and the shoes I took along were hurting my foot. I saw these crocs, tried a pair on and they felt wonderful on my feet. I wore them the whole week and I don't know what I would have done without them. Since then, I have added 3 more pair to my shoe wardrobe and I love all of them. I agree with you on the wild colors, they are kind of weird. I personally went for the "normal" colors, blue, navy and red. And another thing I would like to add, they DO NOT make your feet sweat. I now live in Az, so I know what heat and sweat is and my feet don't sweat when I have these on. I just wanted to give a little "add-a-boy" for crocs, because I think they are great!!!
