Everyone should notice that it was "written" by an MD. No doubt, a plastic surgeon.

    NOTE TO DOCTORS...

The tobacco industry thought it was a good idea to covertly market to children with campaigns that centered around cartoon characters like Joe Camel. $300 BILLION later in settlements and litigation costs, they decided that "indirect marketing" to children was a BAD idea. Then again... I'm a just a lawyer. What do I know...

I think the girl in the book said it all... "But you're already the prettiest mommy in the whole wide world!" ... Maybe she should listen to her daughter and not the rest of society...

I can't believe some people would see this as remotely normal.

I can't believe some people would actually see this as being remotely normal.

What a sick bastardised society we've created for ourselves.

I am so very glad that the doctor was savvy enough to ensure that the insecurities of the mother were propagated in the daughter. What better way to ensure job security? I also enjoyed the patronizing idea in the first page that implied the little girl would only understand the words tummy and nose as the rest was merely blah, blah. No arming a future generation with information here. Way to leave a literary legacy Doc. Shoot for the stars.

Looks like the doctor need a head enlargement surgery. I also can't help but notice that is a pretty skinny "before" mommy. Does she really need a tummy tuck?

My mother had optional plastic surgery. She was ashamed, and I never felt like I was ok, because I am a natural human being. As a young woman, I prayed hard to God, because my self esteem reached such a low that I did not fit a beauty stereotype. I began reading realistic books on health, and eventually I became fond of my my own face. Health is beautiful and worth striving for, not fitting into a scary and very attainable mold that is merely the average face and form. I am especially glad now that I am older that I did not have implants. I came into my own form and besides that is sort of the equivelent of castration, although if there is a buck for a dr to be made off of the already ingrained insecurity of women....I am so relieved after reading the comments...I was extremely depressed at the state of humanity having read this article, but the comments brought me back up again, and gave me the strength to continue being myself. Thank-you.

Seriously, I shudder to think what people in the future will think of us when they look back and see books like this. Actually, maybe I don't... There's a movie called Idiocracy. I think it pretty much sums up the world in which we live in and the future to come. Watch it and be scared. Hopefully some people will take it as a hint and get smarter...

So what is the message here? It's okay to over indulge now, we'll just cut it off later? Should'nt we be teaching our children to BE healthy and kind and help them to get an education rather than use our body to get where we want in life? I'm wondering if some where in this book it addresses the daughters next question, "Why do you want bigger boobs mommy, who's going to see them?" "

This continues from my last comment. If you cannot even pick it up to start reading it, this in itself demonstrates the power of the Truth. If something had no power in it, the Holy Bible, why would you be immediately drawn away from it.
