Not only do we have "Miss Bimbo," but we now have "Mommy Bimbo"! Yay for plastic surgury; it's the only way to be truly beautiful! *vomit*

This is a horrid idea. People don't realize what true beauty they have. as a man i look into the mirror and see myself and accept everything as who i am. Though, some women, God's most beautiful creation, look intot he mirror and are putoff by their gorgeousness. I seriously do not think that plastic surgery is the answer to anything. And this book is so disgusting because of how young the target audience is. It's bad enough they have television shows for adults about people who go through plastic surgery to look better, but now they are pushing the procedures on children? That's immoral.

The idea of a doctor coming up with this book is crazy to me because doctors are supposed to be smart. This guy is obvioulsy the exception to the rule! How dare he direct a book at children and basically tell them that they aren't good enought the way God made them. Plastic Surgery should only be discussed to children with it comes with a medical reason, not a superficial cosmetic reason. I actually think it is pretty sad when you have a child in the book who tells her mom that "she is the prettiest mommy in the world" and all the mom can say is "sort of". That in itself is just disturbing. We are supposed to teach out kids to love themselves the way God made them. It's hard enough, especially for girls, to accept themselves as they are because someone is always prettier and skinnier. This book is a big joke to me. The message is sick, the writing is meaningless, and the artwork sucks!! WAY TO GO DOC!!

This is so pathetic. It just shows how shallow this world is becoming. What people don't reaize is how beautiful they really are. As a man i look in the mirror and see flaws, but i am able to accept these flaws as who i am. Yet women, Gods most beautiful creation, look in the mirror and are put off by their beauty. To think that you need to change who you are is wrong. This book is disgusting and its even worse at how young the audience is. I suppose the field is pushing this book so that they can reach the youngest audience imaginable and make it so they see plastic surgery as the cure to all the "problems" with their appearnace. This book should be boycotted from stores so its poison doesnt do any more damage.

The only good reason I could think of to buy this book would be to enjoy the simple pleasure of running it through my industrial-strength paper shredder. What TRASH!

Oh great - just what we need. A book teaching children that how people look "naturally" isn't good enough. As if we don't already have worlds of trouble stemming from the cosmetics and fashion industry to thank for the hideous state of self-esteem in young girls to begin with. Totally disgusting, and wholly inexcusable, not to mention irresponsible and potentially damaging for young female children, particularly. The only reason I could imagine buying this book would be to afford myself the pleasure of running it through my paper shredder!

The idea of this book, along with the creation and mass publication of it is absolutely revolting. It is quite obvious that the book's existence fulfills one purpose ONLY: filling its author's pocket with more cash. There is no altruistic purpose for this book whatsoever: "You're already the prettiest mommy in the whole world!" Mommy's response: "Sort of." Sick, sick, sick. While I do think that it is a lovely idea to create a book to help children understand the world around them, this is completely misguided and just sad. A child psychologist is the only one who should have even approached this topic; not a plastic surgeon who is a MAN. In reality, children with mothers who willingly subject themselves to dangerous, instrusive surgeries to alter their appearance are going to need a lot more than a book to help them heal...like therapy.

Ladies who commented below: I agree, and stay strong. We have to be the positive role models for our children in this world, because clearly no one else will be. My fear for this world is that young people will be increasingly more subjected to and bombarded with topics that are too adult--and actually, in this case, just completely disgusting--for them to understand. To sum up my personal feelings on this book: GROSS.

This is just sick. I cannot believe someone actually wrote, illustrated and published this book. Young women have a terribly hard time dealing with beauty issues. Why on earth do you have to bring those issues to young girls. Ridiculous! And the art work is awful! I agree with the comment that was made about the way the mother looked before the surgery. What this book is telling children is that you will never be pretty enough. Stop this madness now!

It is difficult enough to be a parent in this world right now, God bless the ones who are actually working towards setting good examples for the children. People like this author just want to get money for their pocket. Why don't people with stupid ideas and beliefs just keep them to themselves instead of sharing them! -- By the way, who is going to buy this?? I feel sorry for the children who will have this so called book as part of their reading collection.

Super, now we're messing with our kids body image when they're really small? Geez people, give me a break! This is just ridiculous! I love the fact that the way God made us is not good enough, and now kids will think they aren't good looking enough from the beginning. Sad, just very sad.

This is ridiculous. I remember being picked on at school and my mother would always tell me that I was beautiful just the way I am and not to listen to what other people said about me. Isn't that the message we should send to our children? Self acceptance and inner beauty as opposed to this prosthetic world where if you have the money, you too can be made of plastic just like Barbie? The great women in history who helped shape women's rights, freedom of speech, and equality for all would be turning in their graves right now if they knew this is the what the world they fought so hard for, as become.

Seriously? Is this an April Fools joke? What kind of message is this sending to children? "It's OK if you don't like yourself, Timmy. Self improvement is only a surgery away!"

    Get real.

I totally agree with you, it is so sad that we as a society have forgotten to accept ourselves for who we are and be grateful for the unique gifts that God has given each one of us. I had a breast enlargement 18 years ago and I am sorry that I did. I was young and dumb and had the money, now I wish I was the way God naturally made me, I would probably look alot thinner!!
