Comment: Obama agreed to an Interview w/ Wallace on Fox News Sunday !!!!
As Obama's patriotism is questioned, he's starting to look more and more like John Kerry in '04.

Comment: As much as I detest Hillary Clinton's ethics and campaign tactics, Obama clearly needs to start showing some stronger emotion and fight during his speeches. While I, myself, appreciate his calmness and logical thinking, Hillary is starting to garner significant support based on her "fighter" character.
He needs to make an adjustment, and show the same fight (albeit wedded with more sound logic than Hillary demonstrates).
Other tips for Obama:
Make a crystal clear speech about guns and that you are always going to respect gun owner's cherished right to bear arms. Many of these people are extremely paranoid that their guns are going to be taken away from them. You haven???t made clear enough that you won???t try to take away their gun rights.
Make a crystal clear speech about how you are going to fight the big companies and special interests, and stand up for the average folk.
Make a crystal clear and highly specific speech about how you are going to address our economic problems.
Use your talents. Hillary cannot make a speech like you can. Now is the time to start making strong, highly publicized speeches.
You can???t try to play it safe, or you risk having your win stolen from you at the convention (fair or not).

Comment: As of July 1, 2007, 1,449,634 persons reside in Philadelphia. Nearly half (43.2%) of Philadelphians are African-American (626,242 persons). About 93% of these 626,242 African-American Philadelphians voted for Senator Obama (582,405 votes) or 56% of 1,042,573 votes for Obama in last night's election. Of these voters for Senator Obama, nearly 100% reported that race was not an issue in voting for him. Therefore, the mayor and Governor had little or no effect in the outcome of the largest city in PA.

Comment: The Democratic "wimp" accusation is a long-time republican propaganda tactic. The mainstream media picks it up and runs with it endlessly. Glenn Greenwald disposes of this myth in his latest book. There is no party pathology here, it's a mainstream media and Republican propaganda tactic that is deployed at the behest of their corporate sponsors. If the media was "balanced" we'd hear a lot more about Senator McCain's elitist background in terms of his divorce and marriage to a multi-millionaire heiress, as well as his despicable courting of right-wing radicals like John Hagee and Ron Parsley. Why is John McCan a "bona fid patriot" because he wants to engage this country in an endless war and spend trillions of dollars doing so that could be better spent building our economy?
Comment: The Democratic party is so very lame. And the Republican party is so stuck on party loyalty that they have just gone along with the current administration`s policies....no matter how obviously wrong they are. So both parties are ineffective. That`s why there are so many Independents now. We need a new party.
Comment: These testimonials highlight Senator Clinton's qualifications, experience, and strength of character.
General Wesley Clark:
"She has done her homework on national security and I know from my personal discussions with her and with many other friends that go in and brief her in her role in the Senate Armed Services Committee. She knows the facts, she knows the details, plus she has the big picture. She is a strategic thinker but she has the building blocks of the strategy in her personal knowledge. This is someone that when she is president our military is going to respect very highly, and when our Senior Officers brief her and meet with her they are going be very, very impressed by what she knows and the intelligence that she brings to these problems."
Brigadier General John Watkins, Jr.
"As I think about the challenges facing the nation and having been in uniform for almost thirty years, worked with a number of presidents to include the last four, I can't think of a single person - those generals included - who's better qualified to walk into the Oval Office than Hillary Clinton. I don't make that statement very lightly. She is more qualified, in my view, than her husband Bill was when he entered the office. It is no surprise to me that you would have as many flag officers who serve this country and Secretaries of the Army and Navy who have served this country who would come out and support Hillary."
Comment: If the Republicans (with the media's help) could turn Bill Clinton's wonderful presidency where the economy was booming into a trial about his personal life, it will be easy for them to crucify Obama for his questionable connections with militant racists, his hate-preaching pastor, his Muslim relatives, and his lack of experience. He can not beat McCain! We need to take the country back from the Republicans more than inspiring words right now. The Republicans (with the media's help) gave us Bush, this bad economy and a crazy war that is costing us a fortune. He can not win! Hillary will make a great president! She will do what is right for the people in this country. She cares, just like Bill did. I hope the superdelegates do their function at the convention and vote for the candidate with the best chance to defeat McCain. They need to think about what is best for the country. I'm sure many people who voted for him before all this information was out would want to change their vote now! Please Penn. Stop Obama Vote Hillary!
Comment: I love how the media bring up all these Republican non-issues during the Primaries in an effort to frame the Democratic nominee as an elitist, wimpy un-American radical and then they turn around and blame it on the Democrats. What chutzpah!
But unlike 2004 the majority of Democrats in 2008 are wise to this media ploy. Everytime you guys try to pull this pathetic stunt in the General election we are going to be all over you. If you want to lose your reputation as a serious journalist the best way to do it is to push these GOP themes in 2008. This is one year the public will not stand for elevating trivial tabloid trash over substance

Comment: Wimps do not stand up and challenge the status quo; Obama's opposition to Bush's Iraq policy is just one example. Wimps, like much of the Conservative Republican party, trot along with whatever the leader says and does. Domestic spying? No problem. Torture? No problem. Outing CIA agents. No problem. Questioning the patriotism of opponents of your vacuous, and incompetent foreign policies? It worked for Mussilini. How about some real reporting instead of sensationalism. This is about as relevant as soliciting a police officer in a mens room.

Comment: Well...this Newsweek article just about does it for me. Next it will be saying that Hillary is a communist and a baby killer. Mr. Hirsh should be on bama's campaign committee instead of trying to write news. The title of the article sucked me right in and I had hoped for more info on that "wimp" factor that is so clearly dominant in the Dem party. He mentions some astute examples of the "wimp" factor but they were glossed over and so MANY factor's were simply omitted. Instead, I was treated to a slanted attempt and outright support for bama over the only person that could win the White House for the Dems....Hillary. This was a blatant cheer for the fair haired bama (mustn't mess his hair up and show how shallow and hollow he is) and a put down of Hillary. What ever happened to the NEWS?

Comment: If we are going to judge candidates by their associations, as many previous bloggers have indicated, let's look at some of McCain's associates.
One of McCain's chief campaign staffers is Charlie Black, a lobbyist for Blackwater - known for its random slaughter of unarmed Iraqi civilians, acts which terrorists use for recruitment. In addition Black was a lobby for Ahmed Chalabi, whose lies and misinformation got us into the Iraqi war and who later turned out to be an agent for Iran. (The only clear winner in the current Iraqi war is Iran.)
McCain worked hand in glove with the Bush administration, as one of the chief promoters of the Iraqi war. Between 2001 and 2003, Bush,Cheney, Rumsfield, Rice and others lied to Congress and the American people 935.
As an insider, McCain is closely associated with the people who outed Valerie Plame, compromising our national security. Outing a CIA agent is a federal crime, but no one in the Bush administration has been brought to justice. McCain's associates are closely associated with this cover up.
McCain welcomes the support of "hurtful and divisive" preachers like Jim Magee, James Dobson, and Pat Robertson, all who preach various forms of hatered - particulary toward homosexuals. In fact one of McCain's associates, Republican representative Sally Kern who stated that homosexuality is a greater threat to this country than Al-Qaeda.
Karl Rove is another staunch McCain associate. Rove is currently working to rig the 2008 election by denying from 7 to 20 million Americans, mostly Latino and African-American their constitutionally guaranteed right to vote. (For more on this consult Greg Palast's web site.
McCain associates with lobbyists from big Pharma, Health insurance agencies, oil companies, coal companies. All of these people are pledged to rob this country blind and poison its air and drinking water.
McCain also courts the Israeli lobby and their Christian evangelical allies. Many of these fundamentalist Christians welcome a war in the Middle East because it will bring about the Rapture.
McCain's legal associates include the Federalist Society, and McCain has secretly pledged to support judicial nominees from that organization. An `18th century political party, the Federalists believed in suffrage for well-to-do white males only. They found nothing wrong with slavery. If you view the policies of the Republican party, especially the drive to suppress the vote, you can see which centruy McCain prefers to live in. And McCain dares to call Obama an elitist.
While Obama has renounced the behavior of Jeremiah Wright, as well as the Weatermen, I have yet to hear McCain making much noise about his associates. All of McCain's country club buddies are far more dangerous to the future of this country than any of the people Obama supposedly hangs out with.
My question is simply - why doesn't the media spend as much time on McCain's associates as they do with Obama's?
Comment: Obama says his greatest foreign policy experience is growing up in Indonesia -- that is exactly the John Kerry approach of 'understanding the terrorists.' These are Obama's own words, not a smear hurled at him by the Republicans. So you're right, having followed the Bush-Cheney way, do we want to swing back to the John Kerry way? Senator Clinton will lead us on a balanced course between the extremes of Bush-Cheney and Kerry-Obama.
Ayers hosted a coming out party to launch Obama's political career. It's fair to suspect Ayers was looking for a black politician to manipulate -- a standard tactic of white radicals. So yes, I want to know for sure Obama was smart enough not to get played by the Weather Underground. My questions can't get answered if they are never asked. Obama should welcome the chance to dispel these doubts. They exist because of his meager resume.
And yes, in light of his meager resume, Obama should answer questions on whether he truly believes what he says in his eloquent speeches. There are several signs that he does not.
Comment: Well since you want answers ask Hillary why Bill pardon two members of that same radical group. Was it for money or do they owe favors for getting into the White House. Also, we know Hillary's experience of dodging bullets oh wait that never happended she miss spoke several times. Wonder why no one trust her and the liar in the White House they both say whatever they have to in order to get what they want.

Comment: Just prior to the Ohio vote in 2004, the Republican Ohio Secretary of State GUARATEED a Bush victory in Ohio. No wonder they love those electronic voting machines which generate NO paper confirmations of the votes.
Comment: Might I have permission to ask one question. Do Republicans win elections, or do they steal them? They stole the 2000 election with the Florida voting snafu? According to Greg Palast, they also stole the election of 2004. Through a widespead series of dirty tricks from hacked or defective voting machines, to caging, to purging the names of African-Americans from voting lists, to demanding citizenship proof of Latino voters, Republican operatives and apparatchiks deprived some 4 to6 million American citizens of their right to vote
The Republicans are working overtime to steal the 2008 election. First of all they are trying to stop the Holt act - President Bush has threatened a veto. Secondly, claiming to protect the integrity of elections against voter fraud, they are setting up restrictive ID requirements. In Indiana, for example, you must bring a passport or drivers' license in order to vote. Actually, according to exhaustive studies by NYU, voter fraud is virtually non-existent, but that doesn't stop Republicans. The ID requirement will act like the poll tax or the literacy test, whites without ID's will be allowed to vote. African-Americans will not. Furthermore, Republican apparatchiks are planning to challenge the citizenship status of any Latino voter in places like Arizona, depriving millions of Americaqn citizens of their right to vote. As many as 7 million citizens will be deprived of the right to vote this time around.
A lot of brouhaha has been made over Rev. Wright's angry remarks. With this evidence, doesn't Rev. Wright have a right to be angry. Our elections are rigged. Getting angry over rigged elections and swearing to do something about it is far more patriotic than wearing a flag pin in your lapel - which probably was made in a sweat shop in China, with the toxic wastes flowing into the Pacific Ocean and poisoning the fish. For more details, check Gregory Palast's website. Incidentally, why don't we get this coverage in so-called "mainstream" meadia or "mainstream" news broadcasts?

Comment: You have got to be kidding us! Hillary Clinton doesn't have a snowball's chance of beating John McCain for various reasons, including, but not limited to: (1) Her statement that an attack on Israel (who has nuclear weapons, by the way), would result in a "massive retaliation" by the United States; (2) the fact that Bill Clinton receiveed $800,000 to push for a trade deal that she is supposedly opposed to, and (3) most importantly, with her being probably the most devisive person in politics, there is no way she will receive votes from Republicans or Independents (of which I am one). If she somehow gets the Democratic nomination, I will be voting for John McCain in November, as I believe will many others.
Comment: Somewhere in this Primary Carl Rove is diligently trying to defeat the Dems. Fact: they didn't want Clinton to win. So how does he get the other candidate to win the nomination: he has little or no experience. He has a cloudy background. And he's anything- but -Hillary. He has a message and can give flowery speeches. So how did he rise to the top? FOLLOW THE MONEY! ALSO CHECK OUT WHY THE MEDIA GAVE HIM SUCH GREAT AND UNTESTED COVERAGE! There are HUGE problems facing this country, why would anyone with any smarts not vote for the repeat of an administration that did so well in the 1990's. American people are either liking the punching bag feeling or too many wealthy young people and their parents don't care about anybody but themselves. He recites programs from the past that are not his own just as if they were his-- 100,000 cops on the street. preschool and after school programs, etc.--all from programs that were enacted during Pres, C's administration and removed by Bush. I hope you will be enlightened by this and REALLY research the candidates and their programs. Voting is a right, researching who you vote for is a responsibility. As an American, don't be so lazy about this; do it right, your future depends on it. As a former teacher my students often asked who I was going to vote for. I would not tell them, but I would challange them to REALLY research each candidate and come back with honest research, not heresay , to support who they would chose. Too many people today don't do it this way and we end up with the likes of Bush and Obama. So sad!

Too many people today don't do it this way and we end up with the likes of Bush and Obama. So sad!
So how did he riseeto the top? FOLLOW THE MONEY! ALSO CHECK OUT WHY THE MEDIA GAVE HIM SUCH GREAT AND UNTESTED COVERAGE! There are HUGE problems facing this country, why would anyone with any smarts not vote for the repeat of an administration that did so well in the 1990's. American people are either liking the punching bag feeling or too many wealthy young people and their parents don't care about anybody but themselves. Hey, people , lots of folks( I hate that phrase, how about "people" instead) are truly hurting out there and you want to support someone who offers "change" (Bush's campaign word. Or didn't you know that) or "hope" (right out of B. Clinton's campaign speeches). Oh you fools, you've been a part of the OBAMINATION and you didn't even know it. Please try to be wise not just smart and consider Obama a good motivational speaker or a minister who could get volunteers to do good deeds. Have you noticed how his speeches aren't so grand now that you have heard them over, and over, and over again! Comment: Amazing how fearful some Democrats are of Republicans.
Comment: Much like John Kerry, Barack Obama has brought on questions about his integrity by his own actions and assocations. A person's qualifications to be president can't be solely based on their words. It's fair and honest to look at Obama's own history and associations as reflective of the man's character and integrity.
Comment: The creative juices are going to flow when it comes to the Republican swift water ad campaigns against Obama. The airwaves are going to be awash with loops of J. Wright, Reznick, Farrakhan and Michelle's chip on the shoulder comments.
Comment: Appearances can be deceiving. Ask John McCain. Keating Five. Look it up. On his Keating Five experience, McCain said: "The appearance of it was wrong. It's a wrong appearance when a group of senators appear in a meeting with a group of regulators, because it conveys the impression of undue and improper influence. And it was the wrong thing to do."
I predict McCain will conveniently forget the "appearance" of wrong-doing and argue that things are as they seem. It's politics as usual. It's why Obama has my vote.

Comment: t that time they ended the friendship abruptly because if it could seriosly hamper their electability if tt became idely Known The communist goal has always been world domination, even over the USA. That association and Bill spending draft dodging time in Russia, makes Hillary not bbe qualified to be President of Our Country.

Comment: The Republicans push questions about flag pins and this is an example of the Democratic Party's "pathology?" This is Republican pathology in full cry. Remember that Kerry was financially hamstrung by his decision to opt for public campaign funding in the interest of a level playing field. That decision left him with the option of either responding to the swiftboat attacks or mounting an ad blitz in the closing days of the campaign. They'd love to do it again, which is why they keep claiming that Obama promised to take public funding, when he clearly stated that he promised only to discuss it, should he become the nominee.
Comment: Wait a minute...the Right is going after Obama on b.s. issues and this is the Democrats "pathology?" No. This is the Republican pathology in full cry. Men who did not serve only too glad to send other people's children to die. A "war hero" who crashed three planes (two in training, which gets non-admiral's sons taken off flight duty before they have the opportunity to get shot down in combat) The Republican strategy is to try to get Obama throw away his fundraising advantage by forcing him into public campaign financing. You are forgetting that it was Kerry's opting for public financing in the interests of creating a level playing field that left him financially unable to respond to the swift-boaters, who were an allegedly "independent" group.
Comment: Obamas pastor trashed the American whites, but he did not advocate the American form of government. Hillary went to work in the law office of Robert Treuhaft in Oakland, CA when she left Yale law scool. Robert Treuhaft and his wife Jessica, nee Mitford, were commited comunist Jessica became a ommited commmunist during her teenage years in England and in Spain during the Spanish Civil War. Hilklary Clinton and the Treuhafts friends and or associates untill Bill and here decided the association would adversely affect THEIR chance for the Presidency.Only then did the Clintons end the association The communist goal has been world domination. Dictato Stalin Said America fall to communism would be from with in. No war of coquest would be necessary. Bill Clinton did some time of his draft dodging in Russia. It makes a person wonder what Hillary and Bills connection to communism really means. Why havn't we heard more about. I repeat Obamas Pastor did not advocate the overthrow of our form of government, while that was the goal Of Hillary Clintons Law office associates. In my mid Neither Obama nir Hillary Clinto are fit to be President.
Comment: Obama is a wimp....untested, not vetted and another Kerry -Dukakis fiasco .....the Democratic leadership once again will let victory slip through their fingers. Super delegates wake up "the Chosen one" will not win and we will have four more years of Bush. Obama is a hypocrite and I see through the games he plays. Slick talking with no substance....why didn't Oprah pick Dr. Phil instead!

Comment: Unlike sen.Obama, sen. Kerry did not have the luggage Obama has today, i.e. his questionable Chicago connections consisting of Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright. It is important
