Since ignoring Jimmy Carter's Oil Peak warning in 1977, it is a lost game. Oil war is also lost and Bush cannot reverse the clock. Going green is only a stop-gap arrangement to prolong oil peaking period. The oil tank is already on reserve and alternate renewable energy source is still a dream in clouds.
It was estimated that, oil per barrel at $200 would be catastrophic without viable alternate. Present oil prices are fast approaching that limit and alternate energy source is no where to be seen. Race is already gravely handicapped. Therefore, all efforts need to be diverted in finding the immediate alternate, for which the most viable should be, conversion of coal to methane as base green-fuel, for use till such time when fully renewable source is discovered and developed.
