Poor Star Jones. Who would have thought her marriage wouldn't last? OK, everybody. Last week news broke that the exiled "View" host had filed for divorce from Al Reynolds, her husband of four years. What's got to hurt (besides the heartbreak for Ms. Jones, 46, as single again as Bridget) is that her wedding to Al was so mocked it even got its own "Saturday Night Live" skit. The lavish nuptials (Star had a retinue of 12 bridesmaids) was also a major reason she was dethroned as a talk-show star. Al's proposal turned her into a bridezilla: she so heavily promoted all the wedding freebies she received that she alienated ABC and her "View" cohosts before she even unpacked her new china. Now she doesn't have a husband or a high profile job. But maybe she'll get to keep the toaster.

Comment: I think this is what she has been doing since she left the View. Unfortunately no one seems to acknowledge the quieter and gentler Star that has been for the last two years. After the whole View fiasco she went on Larry King and Entertainment Tonight and apologized for her past behavior and promised to turn over a new leaf. That is exactly what she has been doing so I think everyone needs to be a little more forgiving and kind hearted instead of relishing someone else pain. You never know when you will need a second chance!

Comment: She's absolutely displayed some foolishness and bad judgment over the past few years, but does that actually warrant all the cackling and a-has being flung around at her expense? I don't think so. Heart break is heart break is heart break - there's no need for it to be made any more humiliating than it already has the capacity to be....yes, despite the role she's played. Get it together, Star. You are better than this.
